Miso - Beckenham in Bromley

We ordered at 6.50 with an expected delivery time at 7.20. It arrived closer to 8.00 and the food was cold.

Myself and colleagues decided to treat ourselves to lunch from Miso noodle bar. It’s a bit more expensive than your average Chinese takeaway, but to be fair, you get what you pay for.. I had a roast duck soup noodle and it was delicious. I had a whole load of fresh pak choi and a bunch of fresh bean sprouts. The duck was well roasted and fresh with a tasty broth and fresh coriander. 🌿. Sarah and Joanne were helpful and friendly. I will definitely visit again. Noodle soup had no flavour, very poor quality pork.

Fantastic- fresh food; generous portions. I’m addicted to the spicy soup - it’s the perfect dish to eat on a cold winter day.

The hospitality of the team here is really warm and attentive. We came for late lunch/early dinner away from the cold. As vegetarians we were prepared for limited options but they were so accommodating and kindly made adjustments to a meat dish for us. They dealt with this request fuss free and clearly communicated to us what our substitutes would be. The starter was cooked perfectly and arrived piping hot. The dipping sauce that arrived with our gyoza starter seemed too little at first but actually we found it was just enough. The chilli mein was so delicious and tasty. Fresh ingredients and the noodles were perfectly chewy and moreish. The Thai green curry was very aromatic but thinner and paler in comparison to our usual liking, but considering this is not a Thai restaurant we were really happy with the dish. Portions are so generous and I think it was the nicest surprise after anticipating smaller plates for £20 each (as a pair). We ended up having the curry and rice between us and took the chilli mein home to eat later as it was actually a lot of food for two! We didn’t use bar or customer toilets but the restaurant is clean and kept well. Would recommend for a quiet Saturday afternoon and a special mention to the waiting staff for being so welcoming.

We went to Miso in Beckenham for a family dinner. The service was excellent, we were welcomed and the staff was very kind and attentive. The place is in good condition, clean and tidy but nothing particularly charming. The food was good as per the standard of the type of cuisine, nothing special. I recommend it for families and groups of friends without great expectations. There are many paid parking lots in the area and the area is very characteristic.

Very cold when arrived was probably not kept warm properly

I got a takeaway meal with curry sauce that I poured over my whole meal when I got home. The curry sauce smelt and tasted disgusting, must have been gone off or bottom of the barrel. When I rang back to explain, staff offered me a free replacement meal the next time I want to order (as I did not want it that evening after getting turned off). When I rang back 2 weeks later, they swore this was never promised and there was no free meal for one. Terrible customer service

Everything was perfect, staff very nice. Only downside is the dumplings didn't taste great but everything else did

I won't be going back to miso beckenham again. My partner and I go here every anniversary (today) and special occasions. The woman serving us tonight was atrociously rude. When ordering we each had a side and a main. She looked at me and said to share, don't be selfish while my partner was telling her what we wanted to order. I ignored it. My partner finished his main before me, he had his plate taken, fine, I know that's what they do there. I had the spicy side dish I ordered and my main infront of me because i eat slower. (My partner doesn't eat spicy food). The woman took my dish and put it in front of him and said "she can share". We asked for a box from another staff member (he was very nice) because I didnt appreciate her touching my food and giving it away with such nasty comments, which I assume is because of my weight. (I have a large tumor that makes me look 5-6 months pregnant). When we asked for the 'cheque' she, in a mocking cockney accent said 'the cheque? The cheque mate? The BILL". I left in tears.

Deep fried squid was OK but noodle soup was really poor - broth had absolutely no flavour :(

Only 3 out of 4 chickens arrived. I chased the driver up the road but he didn’t see me. Had to order 3 chickens again and pay again. Not happy!!!

Food had my stomach cramping all night. Not sure what part of the meal was not cooked properly. Side order tasted ok, but the rest of the meal was bland.

I have eaten at the restaurant and have always loved it but this food was awful. Straight in the bin.

I was starving so went in on my own. Cant comment on atmosphere as place wasnt busy but staff were friendly and funny. Food was nice and a good portion. Had chicken satay with rice.

The restaurant is always usually pretty empty and too many members of staff around who just stare and hover around you making the dine in experience awkward. You are pushed to order drinks even if at the time you do not want one. Not allowed to drink even a bottle of water you have brought with you as it is apparently not fair for them. When you ask for cutlery it is seen as a weird question. At the end, you are also pressured into leaving a tip and staff make sarcastic jokes if you choose not to. Overall did not enjoy the experience and wouldn’t return or recommend. The food has been usually good on the occasions I have visited but it is a shame that the service lets the place down massively.

Poor flavour and seasoning. Usually pay around £8 for a chow mein that is better quality. This cost far more. Don’t order here.

Always order from there sometimes i go in there too, foods always great and the waiters are really friendly. They're always on time or earlier when I order and the food is always coming in large quantities. One of the best places to eat or order from at Beckenham for sure. The rice is beautiful and so are the noodles. Very tasty.

Back to where it was. Been coming here for 15-20 years. Took a bit of a break a few years ago when it had an increase in cost and reduced standard. Since then the manager has raised it to its former glory. Well done to you. It’s not an all night restaurant. More of a one hour restaurant.

Quite a gem in the heart of Beckenham

ordered52,63 and 9. The rice came all stuck together essentially ty waterlogged. Notonly that the customer service essentially said I didn't know my rice. No acceptance, no apology but argument

The food is great. One dish could easily be for two people. Unfortunately the service is really bad, like any other European place. Be prepared for rudeness.

The staff are so attentive and friendly. Portions are plentiful and delicious too.

For what we paid for 2 people. we would of expected more than 3 pieces of tofu each. Probably won't go again

Quality Food again, Well cooked, Clean and well Presented

The Duck is supposed to be Crispy..isn't it?! This was as hard as a Rock! It didn't look fresh and looked more fried than aromatic!

Food was delicious but when I ordered it said delivery between 7pm and 7.20pm. It turned up at 7.45pm.

I placed my order just before 16.50pm and it arrived just after 18.00pm. The time kept changing to later. Then when the food arrived, it was just warm. Very Disappointed as it usually arrived piping hot and very quickly.

Would love a bit more sauce on the Thai green curry and some extra hoisin sauce for the duck/pancakes. But tastes spot on, thank you. Chef in Beckenham miso does a nicer green curry than the bromley branch.

My noodle soup was quite bland, the prawn dim sum was amazing! Paying just over £40 for 2 mains and a side prawn crackers should’ve been offered.

We love Miso in Beckenham. We regularly get a home delivery of dim sum and other dishes and have never been disappointed. For the first time, today, we visited the restaurant to eat in. The meal, not dim sum this time, was delicious and filling and served quickly. The staff were friendly and attentive and we had a great time. Looking forward to the next home delivery or visit to eat in.

One of the better restaurants to eat in Beckenham. Food is good and fresh, you’re not rushed to eat your food. Sweet-and-sour chicken and rice is really good so are the Bento boxes. Staff are nice and very helpful.

Charged twice for ordering the exact same meals. I was advised to cancel my first order because I mistakenly choose collection instead of delivery.

The Prawn Kare Lo Mein was equally bad, if not worse. The soup base tasted mainly of coconut cream powder, the noodles was soaked and soggy, the prawns were overcooked and the tofu was sour. The deep fried squid was mediocre. I contacted the restaurant today to complain and yet to hear back from the manager and no apologies were given from the staffs. I think my 40 pounds would be better off spent somewhere else. 2 nights ago, my neighbour ordered from Miso Bromley and the quality was so much better. I did not know that the quality will differ so significantly between the 2 restaurants of the same name and menu, clearly different management. I will never order from this restaurant again. It is difficult to support local when the quality of the food is so disappointing.

As mentioned by others, the staff are too attentive and ruin the moment by constantly staring. You barely finish a dish when it's removed from your hands. Also, the food wasn't as it used to be. Very disappointing trip.

Lovely food, but the staff not so... if you plan to come just for a quick meal an hour before closing you will be treated like an intruder. Overall don't recommend in the evenings. Better order a takeaway (mind you, portions are smaller then eat in).
