Quite nice, expensive but the cost is what you get. The katsu sando is, in my opinion, not worth £8, but that’s not a cake/patisserie - the rest is absolutely wonderful.

I really enjoyed my matcha latte, the mango mille crepe was slightly too indulgent so probably better to share it. The ceramic teacup and wooden crockery was a beautiful touch. Quite expensive.

This cafe is a must visit. I had the yuzu matcha crepe cake which was delicious. And the mango bubble tea was so fresh. The workers are very lovely I would definitely recommend

The matcha was divine, if a little subtle, and the mochi even more so in fact it was the highlight of the whole experience. The mochi casing was delicious and soft - the mango filling was fresh, sweet with a little tartness. The staff were very gentle and kind also making it a nice overall experience

The matcha red bean mochi and mango mochi were ridiculously good. Mochi was fresh and just the right amount of springiness, cream was fresh and light. It’s a place I wouldn’t hesitate to come back to again.

I had a wonderful experience at Sakurado Japanese Patisserie in Kensington. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. We tried some of their famous crepe cakes and they were absolutely delicious – light, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and tasty dessert spot in London!

A quaint patisserie that specializes in Japanese takes of French classics recommended if you love Asian flavors like green tea. Prices are a bit higher for some items than previously shown. I tried their signature Matcha Millefeuille cake and Vanilla Oolong tea and recommend it. The price came about to about 16 pounds for both. As with many asian-takes on European sweets, sugar was lighter than their original counterparts, allowing for the flavors of the ingredients to shine through. This was true of both the cake and the tea. The Millefeuille was overall, lighter than a traditional Millefeuille you'd find in Paris, but denser than similar cake from shops like Lady M. Sakura DPS Millefeuille features multiple thin layers of crepe and cream, resulting in a mousse like texture. Their matcha felt brighter and more vegetal than the common culinary grade, with a softer bitter finish, but did not reach the strength of a ceremonial grade. Vanilla Oolong tea was definitely milkier than what I am accustomed to and I personally would prefer more Oolong and vanilla. However  it worked well to compliment rather than overpower the matcha cake. As a standalone, the matcha is likely better assuming they are using a similar quality in their drinks. Seating consists of a counter along the shop and 5 tables in the back that can seat 10-14 people.

their matcha Mille crepe is a dish that keeps me returning for multiple years. Best in town in my opinion and absolutely stable quality. While clearly not cheap!

A very pretty little tea room which offers typical Japanese pastries, in an intimate and refined atmosphere. Stays open quite late, which is very practical for ending the day on a sweet note.

The desserts at this patisserie are absolutely delicious! What really stood out to me, though, was the amazing customer service I received from Reshma. Lovely little shop with delicious treats. Got a selection of cheesecakes with some mini choux bites and the flavours were delicious. Everything is presented beautifully with labels so you can easily pick to your tastes. Would definitely eat here again.

Loved this place. It might have been because it was a sunny day. I don't know. But the collection of pastries and coffee was excellent. I sat outside reading a book. It was perfect.

Ariel was fantastic! She was hosting the flock of customers with great attendance and care, while working on her own! She was also very kind to explain and hand out a leaflet explaining the correct way to eat the Sticky Rice Cake. It was a bliss shopping from Sakurado Kensington ^_^ The patisserie was wonderful, the taste elevated with such an awesome host!

While exploring the area, we had the chance to visit this spot that I had saved earlier. We tried the Jiggly Cheesecake and Pistachio Mille Crepe Cake. Both desserts were far better than any I’ve had before. They had a light sweetness, creamy textures, and elegant presentations, making them truly exceptional. Although I haven’t tried many Japanese bakeries, this was by far the best among those I have experienced. The staff were also friendly and helpful. Highly recommend it!

While the food was decent, for the extortionate price the portion size left much to be desired. At £25 for an espresso, matcha latte, Mille crepe and a slice of cheesecake, you’d expect much larger portions (and much better drinks)

Bought a whole thing of basque cheesecake for a friend’s housewarming party and was a HUGE hit. It went so quickly I didn’t actually get to try it myself but my friend has been back a few times already!
