Koh Gurkha (Blandford Forum) in North Dorset

We enjoy the food but unfortunately won’t be ordering from them again as this is the second time we’ve waited over 2 hours for delivery.

We dined at this restaurant last night as a group of six. The atmosphere was lovely, and the ambiance is definitely a highlight of the place—great decor and a cozy vibe. However, the food quality fell short of expectations, especially considering the price we paid.

Excellent meal at Koh Gurkha, delicious food and very fresh. Had the red curry and 3 side dishes, and can’t fault any of them! Very reasonably priced as well!

Was incredibly delicious, we went away for the weekend and got this on the Friday night and then ended up coming back on Saturday, as it was that good. Couldn’t recommend more.

Always liked the food .staff are nice enough..chicken in a veggie meal..well mix ups happen.. forgivable..but a half full container of green curry....which cost over £8 isn't..won't be going back

Visited Friday 21 June and the food was great and it was good value. Would certsinly pop in again if we get back to the area. A reviewer called it a gem and I certainly agree. Thanks to the staff at Koh.

Fabulous food and great prices. Really good menu with choice of Thai and Nepalese dishes. Staff friendly too. If we lived locally this would be a regular haunt.

On holiday we randomly found this place,so glad we did,The red coconut prawn curry was the best curry I ever had,hope to return some time.

Very Very disappointed, We have always had 5* Food & Service from Koh. Tonight We ordered our food for delivery & we're told Half an hour, 1 hour & 45 minutes later We got our Food. Both our Meals were Cold, the Poppadoms were all soft & Chewy & the Momos weren't Cooked properly, some of the Dough was still Raw.

Koh Gurkha is an absolute gem of a restaurant. The food is incredible and the staff are delightful, so helpful and kind. My first time but definitely not my last.! 10/10

Missed parts of the order, referred to me as " the large guy" refused to refund the order. Told us to collect in 45 minutes, order took 1hr 25, staff attitude is disgusting. Said they would deliver the rest without taking a delivery address. Then told a manager would call back but didn't. Would advise using Namaste Gurkha instead. They have much better customer service and attitude.

Love their takeaways. Have eaten a few times in the restaurant. Order early on a Saturday as very popular.

Had delivery tonight not was amazing. Had ribs. They fell off the bone. Curry was amazing and we had added stuff to try I didn’t even order. Was amazing

Great food, lovely service and we'll be back. We went early on a cold, rainy night but the outside area looked lovely so I expect to up the atmosphere stars the next time we visit.

Visited for the first time last night and it was truly amazing. The food was 10/10 absolutely delicious. Starters Koh Calamari and for main I had a Prawn Gurkha Curry and my husband had Chicken Gurkha Curry. Both delicious. We will certainly be back

We were looking for a place to eat on short notice as we headed back from a day out and came across Koh Gurkha. The restaurant is hidden away down a side alley but it is well worth seeking out. The staff were friendly, the service quick and it seemed to be popular with the locals. I ordered the chilli chicken (chefs special), which was delicious with a delayed spice kick, my kids share the lamb makhani and wolfed it down and my wife got the prawn Khee Mao and thoroughly enjoyed it. Really reasonable price and we all left well fed . If I lived closer, it would definitely be somewhere I ate at more regularly.

Lovely restaurant, nestled down a side alley. A wide choice of food, with friendly service. The generous portions filled us up no problem. 👍🏻

stopped here for Dinner on way back from the coast. Glad we did. Food was amazing. Best Green curry I have ever had. Would recommend it and will be calling in again next time we are passing. All staff very friendly and service was good.

Food was to die for the drinks were amazing bit slow with service however we did turn up without a reservation and they were busy however they gave us free crackers for the wait would 100% recommend they were lovely people and great food

Just had a beautiful dinner delivered to us. Delicate flavours, meat cooked to perfection and generous portions. Delivered within expected timeframe but slightly expensive for distance from restaurant. No complaints though as was well worth the price. Will definitely order again. Thank you Koh Gurkha.

Had our first delivery for Kho Gurkha and it was great. Arrived on time and good service. Would recommend.

We had a great experience. Staff was super friendly and the owner came by just to chat with us. The food is all fresh. We had chicken Momos, Pad Thai, Chow-min ,Koh Green curry. Portion sizes are great as well. Everything was just so good. Highly recommend, great food, great people and great place to visit regularly for some authentic Gurkhas Nepali and Thai cuisine.

Excellent service, excellent food, spicier than I was expecting.

Really love the place and they had awesome momos. Some Nepali food has been twisted according to the British taste buds. But staffs were friendly and I will visit again.

Disappointed as the food wasn't that great. The quantity was good but the quality was poor, bland and uninspiring. Had far better tasting takeaway elsewhere in the area, and will go back to those in the future.

Really nice place, bring a jacket and hat though as it's freezing in winter, probably struggling to make ends meet with energy prices so I'm not going to complain. Food really nice, steamed Momo much nicer than fried, all 6 of us agreed on that. The squid was really nice but it does come out hotter than the sun so wait for it to cool a bit 😎.

Everything about this restaurant is top notch. Staffs are super friendly and helpful, food is beyond delicious and the atmosphere is very lively. Food prices are well cheap compared to the portion and tastiness of the food. I stayed in Blandford for 2 months and this restaurant was my go to restaurant for every other days. Will definitely visit again while i am in Blandford next time.

Possibly the tastiest food ever. I love the ghurka curry, c-momo, and the egg fried rice is super tasty. I've tried a few others on delivery, but in house is so fresh. And kids meal options. Couldn't fault it at all!

Was the first time we delivered,  was late , the food wanst warm and the quantities wasn't good for almost 30 pounds . I am not happy and disappointed with this place .my partner need to be see where was the person and pass more than 1 hours since I ask for the delivery

Lovely staff, even moved interior dining out side for multiple customers so we could enjoy the warm weather. The out door seating area was nicely decorated and lit. Food menu was vast and well explained. Food was excellent and we were even offered to take home our left overs.

My 8 year old son declared this was the best restaurant in Dorset after we were there for a month! Lovely Nepalese/Thai restaurant with delicious food - boys especially loved the spring rolls, we enjoyed the momos and the thali. We'll definitely visit if we're in Blandford again😊

Das Essen ist sehr gut, der Service kann an manchen Stellen verbessert werden - zb nachfragen, ob man noch etwas möchte gut es nicht, man kann sich bei Nachbesserungen nur schwer bemerkbar machen und der Tisch wurde Ewigkeiten nicht abgeräumt, obwohl wir fertig waren. Nachtisch gibt es keinen.

Took my little family of four for dinner, we had a mixture of Thai and Nepalese food and they were delicious. My two boys loved the food and the staff were really friendly. I will be visiting again.

Very helpful staff on the phone to take my order, delivery was on time and the food was hot. Nice fusion of Indian and Thai with good quality ingredients. Would thoroughly recommend.

Really nice little restaurant fantastic food great atmosphere

My friends and I got 3 pad Thai noodles last night and we where very disappointed as the noodles had hardly any flavour to them and where so dry and bland with not enough sauce, chicken or veg. We had also asked for prawn crackers and when we got home we had realised they gave us popadoms, not very impressed considering we spent almost £50. The pork Momos and chicken satays where ok and we enjoyed those.

Good variety of dishes including some unusual ones. Short wine list but our choice was good. Bill was very reasonable. Would return.

What a great find! Went on a Monday night and we were lucky to get a table which is a great sign. Friendly, quick service and help with the menu when we needed it. The food was fresh, well cooked, well seasoned and well presented. This was by some way the best meal of its kind in a long time and Blandford has a new star!

Was not sure to expect but was not disappointed, food was Very very good, service just right with almost all tables taken, will definitely be returning soon, well worth a visit 👍👍

Had been to the restaurant before, the food and the services was good. I wanted to try out the takeaway and got recommendations from my friends to try out the spare ribs. So I ordered sukuti and spare ribs. The delivery was quite fast and the sukuti was top notch. However, the ribs didn't meet my expectations at all. There wasn't any salt on the dish which made the taste very blunt. Hence, the reason for only 3 stars.

First time trying this restaurant, absolutely gorgeous meal, quick service and brilliant staff. Will definitely go again and have a takeaway. First class. X

Food tasted great, issue was I ordered 2 plain rice and 1 pilau. Received only 2 rice portions and both were pilau so 1 portion missing from order.

Lovely small Thai place. Lots of choices on the menu and we took our leftovers home as we ordered too much.

It's great to have another authentic takeaway in Blandford instead of the endless brigade of kebabs and greasy pizza. Best Pad Thai I've ever had outside of Asia, really yummy. Spring rolls good too and the red curry was also excellent. Portion sizes very generous. We'll be ordering again for sure.

First time dining here. Quality Vs quantity? Not here. They exceed in both departments. The quality of the food was amazing and the portion sizes were more than enough. One happy customer who will happily return to this place. Highly recommended
