¡No me impresionó! !

Shame as this place does serve quality food. On this occasion EVERY single member of staff with their heads down as you walk in on their mobile phones and not one washed their hands before serving the 6 of us, terrible service you may get served if they lift their heads up or u will not get noticed & when you do it will be a chore by the miserable waitresses. We ate there as the food is generally good but the icing on the cake for me was when one of the waitresses was casually rolling tobacco behind the counter where coffee and food is served!!! I was gobsmacked. Terrible hygiene issues. Won't be returning.

The manager is absolutely repellent, such awful service at this cafe. I ordered my food and it arrived cold and stale 45 minutes later. The staff are very disrespectful much like the manager who rather rudely suggested I take my business elsewhere. I also witnessed health food violations, where part of my food had rather large clumps of long hairs in my food and when I took this up with the manager he ignored my concerns.

We were in Woolwich for the Tall Ships and stayed over on Sunday night. We fancied a breakfast on the Bank Holiday Monday morning and had seen Koffees and Kream the previous evening and decided to give it a try. They have a large variety of breakfasts on the menu but we had the "Breakfast Special" as advertised outside. It was a well presented breakfast of sausage, bacon, egg and beans (or tomato) - but it also came with toast and a tea or coffee. All for £3.49 each! All ingredients appeared (and tasted) to be of good quality and the service was quick, polite and efficient.

Two separate visits to this funky looking place and each time disappointed. The passive aggressive attitude of the owner / manager put us off from the start - but we really wanted to like the place as Woolwich doesn't offer much. If even half as much effort was put into the food as has been put into the funky decor then they would be onto a winner. Our two visits were three weeks apart and each time we were advised their telephone lines were down and they could only accept card payments. When I queried this the Manager asked "What's the problem? There's a cash machine outside Sainsbury just down the road". He was right, but his attitude was a bit aggressive and made us wonder if perhaps paying the telephone bill was his problem and not the telephone lines themselves. On our first visit we only had coffees and milkshakes which were okay and we made the decision then to come back another time and try the food. A decision we now sincerely regret. Our second visit we ordered a lasagne and a fish pie with country vegetables that was a special of the day. The lasagne had been microwaved within an inch of it's life and was just a melted puddle of pasta and oily cheese. It looked awful and didn't taste much better. The "special" fish pie was truly awful and didn't resemble any pie I had ever seen. Effectively I was given a plate of stodgy mashed potatoes with hard and dry pieces of some fish-like substance. Over this was poured a little creamy fish sauce which I can only imagine came from a cheap jar of cooking sauce. The country vegetables were microwaved frozen carrots and broccoli - I'm assuming "country" meant from Iceland (the store not the country).I did try to eat some of the 'fish pie' but it was quite inedible and I just picked at the frozen veg and stole a bit of my Partners lasagne like meal. The staff had looked nervously over at us during this time, but had avoided asking us if we needed anything else or were happy with our meals. It wasn't until we were at the counter paying (with cash) that the Manager asked me why I hadn't eaten my meal. I was completely honest and told him it was inedible. He argued that they get their fish fresh everyday, but as it wasn't to my taste he wouldn't charge us for it. That was fair enough, although I thought he was quite delusional and he was obviously rather annoyed about it. We won't ever go back and it's a shame as we wanted to like the place.

Visited today (20/05/15) with family for dinner. Both members of staff were sat at a table eating their dinner and took it in turns to leave their food to take our orders and serve our drinks (without washing their hands). My wife ordered the Beef Wellington which was delivered in the form of a beef and gravy pie served with (unmistakably) tinned peas. I ordered a burger with bacon in it that could otherwise have been used to cover a hole in someone's shoe, and I could quite easily have cut a slice out of my portion of baked beans (they were so hard and congealed). My mother in law ordered the 'homemade' lasagne which had clearly been microwaved before having extra cheese smothered over the top. The only thing keeping it from running/pouring over the edge of the plate was the ring of chips which stank of old, dirty frying oil. My brother in law loved his chicken curry though (he's 14 and would otherwise have had his usual 'pot noodle' for dinner). The manager was keen to hear my thoughts on the experience but seemed quite defensive of the beef Wellington which he maintains is "his version of the very well renowned dish". He didn't charge for the Wellington (in his defence), however he wasn't in a position to hear me digress about the rest of our meals. Decor is nice.

First impressions are good when you step over the threshold. Great looking interior, a lovely contrast to the exterior of the building. I've found over several visits that you can rely on Koffees and Kream providing plentiful portions, served with a smile. one of my fav places for a greasy spoon brekkie but not in a greasy spoon environment!I've only got one issue with K&K and that is the focus on "value" food. For the price I have no grumbles with whats currently served but I would not be averse to paying £1-3 more per portion and getting higher quality meat, such as premium, local butchers sausages. Another suggestion would be to cut down on their huge menu and focus on delivering a smaller number of dishes at a higher quality.Don't get me wrong, I'll be back - but I really want the option of higher quality food.

More people need to learn to give praise where praise is due and not just review when you've had a bad experience. I am an avid review reader and I'll be honest I have not taken that fact into consideration before now but realise If more people would take the time to do so the figures would be more fair and help the judgment of potential new customers. I am a huge fan of this place! I am from south east London and woolwich is a horrible place..... Koffees and kream is just what the area needs! to find a local place as good as this in my area would be very, very difficult..... I can't think of one..... Maybe barrell and horn in Bromley but that place feels snooty. In this beautifully Decor'd place is a laidback atmosphere with cool background music and good fresh food! The calamari is my favourite their milk shakes are unreal too!! Please don't be put off by the other reviews this place is great! Xxxx

I've been to this local cafe four times now. When it opened the place was relatively empty and the service was good. The food seems good value for money, although do not expect the highest quality of food for that price. There are other cafés around that use higher quality ingredients if that is what you expect from a cafe. Recently it has become very overcrowded, and the service has become very poor. The staff do their best but the owner/manager clearly needs to employ more staff. On the last three visits he has verbally abused the staff for not being as quick as he would like, which doesn't make for a pleasant atmosphere, and is clearly not their fault. The prices seems very reasonable, so it has been a surprise for the last few visits that the bill has been several pounds more than expected. This was brought up with one of the staff at the last visit, who could not bring up an itemised bill on the till or locate the order that was taken. The manager was called, who immediately put blame on the waitress (despite having taken the order himself!) and managed to get a breakdown of the charges. Indeed, he spotted that he had charged for a cup of tea that should be included in the breakfast deal and refunded that. There was still another £1 unaccounted for, but I gave up at that point as he clearly had no idea and this had already taken too long. If you visit this cafe you should look closely at the bill as this is not an isolated case. And do you really need to replace the letter 'C' with a 'K' in every menu item?

Having now been here for coffee, quick snacks, lunch and breakfast it is a great place. First off coffee is always made just right, food is always good, cakes are usually a plenty and tasty. All the staff we have come into contact with have known what they are doing and provided good service except for one new girl this Saturday who appeared to be just running food but was clear she didn't know tables or much English. However still managed to deal with what we wanted. The manager has even taken time to chat to us before and is very child friendly which considering we have a very active 20 month old is very handy indeed. The venue looks amazing, the management is friendly, the staff all seem well trained, food has always been of good quality and the prices are fair - little higher than most in Woolwich but we'll worth it.

The decor looked good, the menu looked interesting. The service was slow and when the food came my salad was half the size of my friends salad and only 60p less, so I asked why. Only to be verbally abused by the manager! It was only a question that required an answer not nastiness. Then after leaving a review on fb the manager continued to abuse me by saying I had had a bad year! Absolutely outrageous! So, beware the wolf that lurks behind the surface in this place. As long as you shut up and out up you should be fine!

Normally really impressed with service and value in Wetherspoons pubs, however, this was an exception. We ordered 2 pizzas and waited over 30 minutes for our food to arrive (usually Wetherspoons are really quick). When it did arrive, it was plonked in front of us with only a knife each, I realise lots of people eat pizza with their hands (as do I on occasions) however, it was quite a sloppy one, so we asked if we could please have forks. The server rolled her eyes and said she’d she what she could do, but it would be at least 10 minutes. To bring 2 forks??! After 10 mins we asked another bartender, who was polite, but could only give us 1 fork to share, as the others were being washed! Good job I hadn’t ordered a full English with beans. At the end I commented to a third bartender that we had only had 1 fork, only to receive another eye roll and sarcastic “sorry”. The pizza and drinks tasted good and were good value.

Initially when we arrived all seemed good. The cafe itself looked historic and a bit eccentric, but that wasn't a bad thing, and the cost of the food seemed reasonable as well. The three of us took a seat, had a look at the menu and began to choose what we wanted to order. After about 5-10 mins we'd pretty much decided and then waited to be seen to by a member of staff. We noticed a waitress cleaning tables behind us and assumed that once she'd done that she'd come to us, as the other customers had already been seen to. No such luck. In fact I'm not even sure if she acknowledged us, walking straight past us and continuing to wipe other tables. We waited a little longer hoping she would come over and notice the open menus and lack of food and drink on our table, but the jaycloth was more important. Tired of being ignored, we walked out and left the 1930's time capsule hungry and frustrated.

It closed down. Went for nothing. On maps shows incorrectly as if it's still operational.
