First time eating at this restaurant, it was delicious. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere was excellent. Highly recommended.

Big portions are so great for sharing. The food was really good quality and it was nice to try from the Szechuan menu. We also got a bonus karaoke room for my brother's birthday. Definitely recommend.

Amazing selection of tasty vegan dishes from a select menu: starters, mains, noodles and fake duck/chkn options as well as tofu and veggie dishes. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit!

Would DEFINITELY recommend this place to eat and karaoke! My friends and I ate here last Sunday, the food was incredible and we had such a blast doing karaoke together!

I had the hot and sour soup and the fragrant fried chicken with chilies. The soup was a bit peculiar at first, but I really liked it. The chicken was a dry fried dish with a ton of chilies and sichuan peppercorns. It wasn't spicy as much as it was numbing from all the pepper, and I thought it was great!

Good food, super welcoming and friendly staff and beautifully decorated. Loved being able to use their sound proofed karaoke room at the end of the evening.

I have eaten here on 4 to 5 occasions in the last few months, with friends and with my wife. I lived in China for 5 years and have been to every Chinese restaurant in Colchester. The food here is the most authentic and tastiest I have eaten in comparison and the double cooked pork, a speciality in Dalian and Shenyang, is fantastic. The restaurant has free parking, river views and food is well priced. Thanks to the lovely young waitress and the restaurant manager who are welcoming, polite, attentive and friendly. Thumbs up.

Literally the best food I've ever eaten both takeout and dine in. Crazy flavours

Really disappointed in this place. We took a chance on them as our usual Chinese was closed. They were significantly more expensive, but the reviews led me to believe that was because the food was of a higher quality. Unfortunately this was not the case, our Crispy Chilli Beef was not crispy at all, instead was tough and chewy. The Salt and Pepper Chicken was mostly raw batter. On top of this, portion sizes were tiny.

The chefs keep changing, the quantity of dishes keeps decreasing, big plates are replaced with small ones, it’s getting worse and worse☹️

This is what I would call authentic Chinese food! Love it.

Ordinary Chinese food, heavy in oil and salt, I don’t know if there is too little competition from foreign countries, or the raw materials are too expensive, and the ingredients are not fresh. The point is that the service attitude is average!

I've always known that restaurants are not hygienic, but I didn't expect to eat some strange things. I won't make random guesses. You can judge for yourself. I didn’t go to the professional department to test it, but you guys should be able to look at the picture and guess what it is.

Usual Chinese food but not greasy like takeaways often are. Our waiter was very helpful and attentive. It wasn’t very busy. We spent enough to get the karaoke room for free- that was fun with our group of 8.

chow mein was delightful, as was the batter fried milk pudding! will definitely be coming here again

Amazing traditional Chinese food!! full of flavour and really generous portions. Staff were polite, friendly and attentive. There is also an English menu and an alternative Chinese menu for those who aren't so adventurous. Prices are reasonable. There is also a karaoke and games room, which is good fun. Free parking is available in the car park next to the restaurant. The restaurant also overlooks the riverside. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and would return here again myself.

Delicious food and pretty good service. Nicely decorated but no atmosphere whatsoever as there's only about 8 people in the whole restaurant. It's in the wrong location and ideally should be in the town centre. There is a free 2 hour carpark located underneath the restaurant.

The food is very tasty. The staff speaks Cantonese and Mandarin. Their barbecue is highly recommended.

We took a chance here as only 2 other diner's on a friday night. Very authentic Chinese food but not full of salt, service was excellent and very personal, each dish being put in front of the person who orderd it. The food was excellent 10 out of 10 in my view. Feeling very ripped off! Compeled to leave a bad review to deter people from making the same mistake as me. I've tried practically every Chinese in the area, and this is easily the worst and the most expensive by a landslide, my normal order would tend to be around £20, and I paid £33 for this place so the expectation was high and I was happy to pay the extra this once. My order was Salt And Chilli Chips - which arrived in a tin that felt the weight of a feather (alarm bell) opened them up to see, quite literally a handful of thin oven style chips with about a table spoon of pea sized bits of pepper and onion. Kung Po Chicken, which was very small, very poor quality pieces of wet chicken not in batter (it did have peanuts though) which is how Kung Po should be, but overall it was just a load of poor quality meat in a vineger'y sweet and sour sauce with large chunks of dried chilli mixed in. A chicken Chow Mein which was edible, but again for £9.20 you would expect a lot more than thin noodles with a miniscule amount of onion in it. Do not go here, if it was cheap and cheerful prices, you could say you get what you pay for, but the prices are PREMIUM and I didn't even want to eat it. Completely ripped off.

A fantastic restaurant, impeccable service, and a really interesting menu. I'm always on the look out for something different, and recently discovered spicy/numbing Szechuan food. Ordered way too much, but it was worth it to try more dishes. I didn't get to do the DIY BBQ skewers, but i will be back. Oh, and free parking for two hours as well! I was honestly surprised it was quite empty in there, but maybe Sunday night isn't as popular

Authentic tasty well made Chinese food. Run by what seems a family business with lovely staff! Would definitely eat here again, as it’s fairly new I feel most don’t know about it. It’s also tucked away so not the easiest to find but genuinely loved it and would 1000% be back!

Wow,who would thought a restaurant could be so much fun! We sat in the BBQ section of the restaurant and had a brilliant time. The food was different, great sized portions and delicious. The bbq a great talking point and interactive as you cook your own food. Only open 4 months, brilliant concept.will be back. From wivenhoe get the bus, so easy..

This is the second time we have eaten here and each time we have found something different in eat. The menu offers more "real Chinese" food than most Chinese restaurants. My wife is Chinese and is usually very disparaging about most Chinese restaurants we have eaten at. I must add that the young lady and gentleman at "front of house" are both very attentive, friendly, and helpful. It's just a pity we have to travel from Ipswich to Colchester to eat there. We wish them all the very best for a successful business.

Only recently discovered Knight pavilion but we will be visiting more frequently!! Food was delicious and reasonably priced, dishes are authentic, especially the sichuan noodles which are AMAZING The service was on point and the staff were very polite, catering to our needs Parking is easily located and accessible by the student accommodation building, parking is free for 2 hours

What can I say, First time eating at this place it was amazing the food was piping hot fresh and so tasty with fresh ingredients, Fast and friendly service, with a smile . Chilled relaxed vibe, a very enjoyable experience absolutely perfect for party's and large bookings tables to accommodate all on one, Or like myself just for 2 , lovey food 5* from us , keep up the fantastic hard work looking forward to come again 🙏

Had an evening meal with family , really lovely food , service nice and quick , card machine wasn't working so cash only or bank transfer but wasn't an issue as there is a cash machine just round the corner, would definitely go again , the food was so tasty 😍

Xmas eve dinner.. service was good and the food was very nice. Probably wouldn’t have the bbq skewers again but the beef chicken and rice are definitely to be repeated. No rose wine which was disappointing and no tonic so vodka was off too. It was pretty empty for a Saturday night but we did eat fairly so that could be why but it lacked in atmosphere

Best Chinese restaurant in Colchester! Especially, I love the staff's friendly and polite attitude. It makes this restaurant special! The inside is beautifully decorated and the atmosphere is really good! I could relax and felt really comfortable. We tried chicken and Ram BBQ, Stir fried pork with green onions, and fried spring roll. The BBQ is perfectly flavored with spice! You will love it❤ Also stir fried pork melt in my mouth and it stimulates your appetite more☺ Spring roll was perfect. Easy size to eat and the outside is crispy but inside is juicy! I will come back soon and highly recommend you to visit this place!
