Kiwa Bar & Restaurant in City of London, Westminster

Lovely helpful service and pictures to show you want the dishes would be. We loved the pan of beef and mushrooms cooked at the table and the box too. Some dishes appear very expensive but were great for us all to share (3). The chicken wings with soy glaze were very yummy too.

We needed a quick meal on a busy Saturday eve, pre-theatre. We aren't sure why this place was quiet, but we took a chance and stopped here. The service was very attentive and the sweet and sticky chicken wings were absolutely amazing. We also had the salt and pepper squid, which was tender and crunchy and cooked to perfection. It was NOT overcooked like so often happens. I dont remember everythi g we had, but can day we had dumplings and a Korean rice cake specialty and they were fantastic. But, seriously, the chicken wings were something else. Overall, the food was delicious and beautifully prepared and the service was very present and exactly as it should be. We were able to eat a wonderful meal quickly and in a peaceful setting, enabling us to have a conversation without shouting over people. For anyone wondering if they should take a risk, because it is curiously quiet, do it! You won't be disappointed.

Tried to get in a few other restaurants in the area on a busy Saturday to no avail and stumbled across Kiwa. Fantastic location between Gerrard Street and Shaftesbury Avenue. Great menu which you cook yourself on a miniature flame pan/skittle. The staff show you what to do and take over if required. You choose a set menu with a few meats on and some vegetables, etc., We had the Wagyu, beef and pork along with some vegetables and rice cakes. Really nice ambiance, it is a modern building with bare concrete walls and high ceilings. It is an experience, rather like an indoor BBQ!!. Staff are attentive, drinks and food reasonably priced and it was good fun. Will seek out again when in London
