Had jerk chicken for the first time from here as my usual has shut down. Food tasted great. Also got some curried goat. Definitely recommend the food. Even though I'm in Rainham just eat said out of range? That needs sorting by them. But when I rang and told the guy he very kindly said he would deliver himself even though he was working. So he gets bonus points for that. Mate, I don't know your name but thanks for that. Will definitely use again but tell the idiots at just eat that Rainham, Kent is only a couple of miles from you in Gillingham. As of 21/10/23 this place seems to have shut permanently. Have tried several times to ring, no answer, and just eat always say they are not taking orders at the moment. Shame the food was great. Doesn't seem to be any good place in Medway for Caribbean food now.

This is one of the best Jamaican/Caribbean restaurants we have eaten recently. Though small, the decor makes it a nice atmosphere to dine in. The food was tasty and appeared to have been cooked with care - great chef. The customer service was excellent; the young lady who served us was prepared to something across the road that the restaurant didn't have at the moment. For improvement, I suggest that the portion be a bit larger, especially the meat. My wife and I ordered a mix oxtail and curried goat, which was delicious in every way, buy we ended up with very small portions and lots of bones. Nevertheless, I would visit this restaurant in a heartbeat, as I believe the chef would be willing to improve our servings of meat if we should ask in the future. We live over one hour away and can't wait for our next visit. I strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is thinking of visiting.

Went to Kitchen Six a couple days ago and had the Goat Curry with Rice and Peas. £8, big portion and tasted absolutely banging! Staff were friendly and nice too. Defo recommend!

Cheap and cheerful Caribbean food. Nice jerk Chicken and the fries were good. Jerk Chicken burger wasn't a burger, was 5 or 6 quite tough small pieces of chicken. Service was friendly.

Please get a professional in to clean your cooker.

Not happy at all, I’ve ordered large goat, curry and rice and peas. Only had three pieces of meat in it and also a little bit of curry juice. Which was ridiculous. The portion was really tiny. I’ve never seen this in my life portion like that. Ended up ordering something else. Very disappointed 😡

Had the jerk chicken and curried goat with dumplings. The food was lovely but came on a cold plate so the food went cold quickly. Other than that the flavours were amazing and the host was welcoming and attentive.

Above and beyond service with a smile , the food was wholesome and tasty. Will definitely be going back! 😍

Stopped randomly for a takeaway lunch. Jerk chicken was fresh and sauce was extremely good. So happy they had plantain and coleslaw. Husband had the curey goat and rice which he really enjoyed. Good portion sizes. Friendly service. Can't wait to return

Food was AMAZING Arrived Early The only negative was the plantain portion was a bit on the small side. worth every penny tho, I would recommend to friends.

This is the best carribean shop in Medway hands down, I’ve eaten at all of them, jerk cafe, fogahs, and vibez kitchen, there’s no comparison.

Honestly now that is some comfort food. Dad never had stewed lamb before, it was inhaled within ten minutes. So good, will be back for sure

Have order a few times here and the food is always late, it’s shocking sometimes. Food is nice but the portion size changed. Orders a large but the container was smaller then the last time

I went to Kitchen Six for the first time this afternoon after calling ahead to find out what the service was like on the phone. Julie was lovely and advised people are welcome to eat in. The interior is beautifully done - and the food!!!! I was raised on Jamaican food growing up so am able to cook it myself. But I really couldn't be bothered today. The food is beautifully seasoned and cooked to perfection; this is what real home cooking tastes like. I ordered oxtail, rice and peas, ackee and saltfish with hard food, curry chicken, coleslaw and mac & cheese (not all for me!!) My family and I had a bit of everything. The food was so good I had to call them back and let them know just how tasty everything was. Generous portions also which means I don't have to cook dinner which is a bonus. Oh - and they have a real fire going out back for the jerk chicken. At last we have real, authentic Jamaican home cooking from a local restaurant. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Update: I ordered the jerk chicken as it wasn't available earlier, which was delivered. And it was amazing! The flavours were all there, I just don't know what else to say. Except order from this local business. The food is worth every penny.

The food was lovely but there was a few disappointments like missing all 3 of our drinks to our meals and a mac and cheese also would of been nice to have an option of normal chips or sweet potato fries with the jerk burger meals i thought i was receiving normal chips and having them with 3 meals they got wasted as me or my children are not a lover of sweet potato fries

I would just like to say how lovely this place was didn’t eat in but will do next time, staff was spot on and very helpful and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious well done to the chef Defo a 5 * from us and this will be our restaurant to come too

Was rude on the phone and offering my man out and being very disrespectful to me and I’m pregnant!! They told me 45 minutes I went to the shop got my cash out and then came back to get abuse over the phone am not impress at all!!

Food was very nice, as originally from London with lots of Carribean restaurants around having one in Kent is a good look. I ordered curry chicken, peppered steak, and Oxtail and all was very delicious (nicely seasoned) Staff members was very friendly (lovely lady Sharnie) very welcoming. Definitely will be going again.

The service was friendly, the Portions were generous and food was beautiful and hot. They forgot the patty but came back out and delivered it with a smile. I had the jerk chicken which was incredibly cooked, the wife had the jerk burger box which I was very jealous of and will be getting next time and I had the beef patty also, which was the best I’ve ever had tbh, and it was huge! We Would really recommend trying it and can’t wait to order more. Good job guys.

The environment was lovely. Staff polite . Oxtail was great,jerk chicken was superb, and the jerk sauce had the desired kick. Downside - this was the most miserable looking fried plantain I have seen in a long time; otherwise, I would have given you a 5-star rating. Sorry guys, aside this the food was great. No delivery yet. I hope you start that soon and hope the quality doesn't change

It has been a long time coming to have a Caribbean takeaway in Gillingham. And it was totally worth the wait. Had the curry goat with rice and even though I'm not a fan of coleslaw......I'm now converted. Totally homemade and I couldn't stop dribbling with each bite. I will go back there to shake the chef's hand and thank the team for bringing me back home. The aroma, the cooking, it's all so nostalgic and I loved it. Well done Kitchen Six. Food is on point. Had the curry goat, had to come back for another portion. If you want authentic Caribbean cuisine then these guys are the real deal. Nice service too.

I saw the shop and was instantly drawn indoors, the interior is top tier and the food speaks for its self. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for an authentic Caribbean shop in the Medway area

BEST Caribbean shop out of london!! The staff are so polite and warming and the food was mouth watering. Will definitely be a regular for me!
