Perfect full English breakfast, great fresh food with friendly staff. Another reviewer said " Best breakfast in Daventry" and I have to agree!

This is the third time we have visited “Kitchen” , unfortunately we were very disappointed as we had to wait 45 mins for the food to arrive, my partner had Scampi and chips, which she said tasted burnt, I had a cheese burger and chips, On the menu it stated the burger comes with salad and dressing, but it didn’t just a soggy roll with a burger and slice of bacon and melted cheese, not very appetising, I feel they must specialise in cooked breakfasts as that seems to be what everyone was ordering and got served quicker, So overall a disappointing experience

Delicious. Walked past many times but had never been in. Really wish we’d visited earlier. My husband had the full English and I had the Avocuddle on toast :) Both do tasty. Great coffee, warm and friendly staff and great value. Will definitely be back as the rest of the menu looked great.

Popped in for a spontaneous brunch and really enjoyed it. I had eggs Benedict with ham- it was proper ham, not cheap rubbish. I added avocado which was gorgeous! My partner had Mexican dirty fries that almost blew his socks off! He loved the flavour and the chips were good quality. We will definitely be back

Went for Saturday morning breakfast for 4 friends. Lovely table at back and served by a really welcoming and kind friendly lady. Had various breakfasts between us . I love my cooked breakfast and full English was just spot on and price was good too. Didnt feel rushed to leave and was able to have a lovely time eating and drinking tea and coffee. Thank you.

We were just visiting Daventry and were a little peckish for some lunch. We saw the "Kitchen" and decided to give it a try. It looks like the cafe had entered a competition to see how many tables could be squashed in to it. Space is a bit of a premium in there, and there's no continuity in the tables, to the point where, when the tables next to us had customers seated at them, we couldn't get out. The decor is a weird eclectic mishmash of things, making it look like the owner had gone to a jumble sale, bought everything and dumped it in the "Kitchen". The top half of a mannequin sat on a table wearing a pigtail wig and a straw hat, a chair attached to a wall upside down and used as a shelf, a whole collection of teapots on top of a display cabinet etc. On the plus side the staff were very friendly and kept asking us if we were ok, enjoyed the meal (they asked that one before we even got our meals) and if everything was alright. They asked us around 6 times while we were there. It's nice to be asked once or maybe twice, but that was just a little OTT. The food was of good quality and good value, but it had been slightly overcooked. The bacon was a little dry (it looked like it had been cooked for a while), the fried eggs were hard in the middle and the potato bread was also quite tough to cut. However the rest of my meal was fine. On the whole I would rate the Kitchen 3 out of 5. Good food at a reasonable price, but it lost points for the food being overcooked and the claustrophobic atmosphere.

Child-friendly, good food with lots of choice and quite good value. The staff were helpful and made us feel at home, quick service. Interesting décor and nice atmosphere. There's a toilet available. Tables are close together and it was busy when we visited (during half-term) so might be a concern Covid-wise but otherwise we had a nice meal, and I'd definitely visit again! Thank you.

I've been a few times, most recently for a post results collection celebration. All day breakfasts are great value: i particularly like the home made sausage patties and the potato squares. My teenager loves the sausage and onion baguettes. Burgers are great as well. With a licence to serve alcohol it is a shame really that this does not offer dinner as well, as Daventry is lacking decent traditional food in the evening.

I would usually go to The Aroma lounge or The Courtyard cafe for breakfast but unfortunately both were closed for refurbishment. So for the first time I decided to go to Kitchen. This will be my first and last time at this establishment. The staff are polite and friendly. That’s why 2 points. Otherwise a bad experience. Firstly I was given a mug that was dirty. So asked for it to be exchanged. Then ordered my full English . The eggs were hard, and everything seemed over cooked. The toast was more like bread , just white and no crisp. Mug of tea was the best part. I have tried this place and can honestly say I will never return.

The best Moules a la Creme outside Brussels but for one thing, it was described as Moules Mariniere which it most definitely wasn,t. But the mussels were big, juicy, succulent in a cream sauce to die for. Pity the Chicken Kiev had no garlic butter AT ALL. And when I asked to talk to the chef to congratulate him on his mussels he never came - the difference between a family resturant and a commercial one. What a pity.

The Staff at The Olive Branch always have a smile and they are volunteers. Nothing is too much trouble and they always make us feel welcome. The Homemade Cakes look delicious and the large Cheese Scones are always eaten by my friends. In the colder weather my friends usually have their soup and I always see someone in there eating a Full English Breakfast at lunchtime.

Small party (5 of us) went for our Christmas lunch. Starter was very small. I had the ham hock terrine which should have had Christmas chutney(?) but came with piccalilli. It was nice but 2 small pieces of pitta bread seemed a bit mean. Mains came out and the plates were very cold. The food was tepid and the gravy was also very cold. These were sent back and we were assured fresh meals were being prepared. The mains came out on hot plates and the food was hot. Not entirely certain they hadn't just been microwaved. Desserts were nice enough but nothing to make you say wow. Overall disappointing meal for something that should have been enjoyable. Portions were very small considering the price of the Christmas menu. Background music was too loud.

Had a great Sunday Lunch with my husband on Sunday 3rd November 24. The white wine was also very nice and chilled in nice tall stem glass. Lovely tasty meat, I had the pork and my husband had the chicken very good thank you.
