Excellent service from Ella and Summer in the best chippy in leigh by far well done girls

Messed my order up last time ill go gave me a large fish and chips instead of small a significant difference in price I accepted that 1 mistake as the fish was already in then got home to fine not 1 large fish but 2 large fish for an order of a mini fish chips and peas and chips n curry sauce 🙃 were a vulnerable family on a low income I tapped my card to pay trusting my order was right . Should have been roughly 7 to 7.50 I am down over 15 pounds absolutely deverstated that's 2lots of nappies it's half a week electricity. We often came for a treat as its actually really good but when I can't trust my order is taken correctly and my card is charged double what I've expected 😅 it's really not worth it . Also everything we come I order the same mini fish she wrote down the order and read it back to me correctly so why was I charged so much and given a really wrong order like completely! It was written down what she read back absolutely ridiculous 🙄

Went here as my usual local chippy had closed. It's a bit far out the way for me to visit often, but the food was really great. Staff were friendly and chatty. The place looks really modern.

What a wonderful chippy! My wife normally does the chippy run when we have one but I went tonight and what a lovely place it is. The staff are so friendly, everything is clean and the food is delicious! Definitely the best local chippy!

Had simple chips and Curry. Chips were not nice and were mostly potato bits not chips. The English curry, there was not much taste to it. Was disappointed as was really looking forward to them. How can there be so many bits in the chips? It seems like they were frozen chips as you do get the bits in bags of frozen chips. When I cook my own chips they are proper chips, full size chips no bits. Will stick to the air fryer now 🙄

I was born in Leigh and moved to Australia in 1991 I had memory’s of eating steak pudding and chips so this year I had it on the 5/12/2024 and it was 💯😋 I now have made it my last meal on the 03/01/2025 before I fly home to the Gold Coast and it was 💯😋AGAIN ❤️… The team at the shop where so friendly thanks I will be back soon ❤️

This chippy is that good, I drive from westhoughton, best fish and chips by a country mile.

Sorry but its 3 strikes and you`re out with this chippy. The first week we went and the steak puddings were undercooked and doughy. The second week and the peas were barely warm and the third week (today) the fish were dry, barely warm and horrible. Need to up their game and especially with so much of the food being almost cold and at the price of a chippy tea they`re certainly not giving value for money

Never go this chippy again does not listen an gets orders completely wrong doesn't listen an ignorant as serves other customers who come in after you complete wrong order what a waste of time an money

Highly recommended!!!! Iv recently moved locally and wanted to try and find a chippy near me, and its the best chippy iv had in a long time!!! I got small chips, small fish, reg peas and a large curry and still plenty left! 10/10 from me! Fish was amazing too!

Called in on our way home from Wales, fish chips and peas for the wife and pudding, chips and gravy for me. The fish was cooked to order so I had a short wait but it was well worth the wait. Reccomend.

My hubby, daughter and I went here yesterday (27/12/22) The food was delicious, and piping hot. The lovely woman who served us, was so polite and friendly and didn't mind that I was quite awkward with my order. I highly recommend you trying this lovely chippy. The small fish are as big as other chipped standard size. Really good. Will rate again after a few more take aways.

We recently move to Leigh and would like to have some fish and chips! Lucky to have one on the same street as our home!! Owners, Elda and Donald are very very friendly!!! Best chippy in Leigh!, I like the fact chips & fish are cooked to order. We used to come quite regularly at one point but the the standards slipped under a previous owner. We were initially sceptical about returning under new ownership but they have more than exceed our expectations in staff, quality and great value for money. The fish bites are lush, every meal is hot & always fresh. This is the only chippy in Leigh 3 members of my family like best. 3 persons can’t be wrong & to consistently get food right there are obviously good practices in place. See you soon x
