Kintore Tandoori in Aberdeenshire

2 hours for delivery. Food missing. Half filled curry tub. Tried calling and got no sense over phone. Avoid avoid avoid. Worst worst worst ever

Ruined our evening. Kintore tandoori used to be my favourite local Indian but i think it’s changed management again and it’s now terrible. Pretty sure there wasn’t a speckle of spice in my meal, it was like tomato sauce with floating pieces of chicken. Can’t get any worse but I won’t return.

I got a takeaway curry from here last weekend. It took about 15-20 minutes to be ready from when I phoned-in the order, which was good considering it was a Saturday night. A minor issue was that the hand sanitizer at the front door appeared to be empty, so it would be a good idea if they could replace this with a new bottle for customers to use when they enter the building. I went for the Chicken Bhuna which was delicious. We also had rice and naan which were delicious too. The wife had prawn vindaloo and she said it was very nice. The portion sizes were good, and the chicken seemed to be really fresh. The bill came to £20.40 for two people which was good value for money. They don't accept card payments - cash only - so remember to take cash with you if you are collecting. I only had £20 on me so the staff let me off with the 40p which was kind of them. Overall I would rate this place 10/10, and I will definitely be back again soon.

Had our first curry from here on New Year’s Eve, quality and taste of the meal was superb. However took almost 2 and a half hours to come, I will put that down to it being Hogmanay. We would use again.

Saturday night, meat feast and Hawaiian pizza with large chips - truly delicious! Ready within 20 minutes. Top job!

KT delivery was so late and they lied on phone about delivery time. It took so long I cancelled the order with Restaurant. They said contact just eat for refund and at no point said it was too late too cancel. I Cooked and ate tea. They then tried to deliver 35 minutes later. ( a joke as over 2.5 hours after original order and 1.5 hours after original delivery time) I did not accept as it had been cancelled. Now they are saying meal was delivered, but it wasn’t as was cancelled and not received. It’s less than 10 minutes from ours so no excuse. Having issues with just eat as they say the restaurant said it was delivered. Disappointed and never again.

Myself and husband have had a few takeaways from here before but have never left a review before. Am not sure why there are so many negative reviews as we have never had a bad meal. Tonight - Saturday 11th Jan - my husband ordered a munchie box and I had veg pakora and bombay aloo. Husband was very impressed with his munchie box - good portion size and everything was really tasty. My veg pakoras were delicious - nice and crunchy on the outside. The bombay Aloo is my absolute favourite and I love it. Potatoes have a good texture and the sauce is so nice. We will definitely be back.

I wish I could leave a no star review. We have been using Kintore Tandoori for a couple of years now always getting it delivered four miles away from them, our order usually arrives early and enjoy the food that is delivered. Bare the title of this review in mind we ordered tonight as usual through the just eat app noticed that they had a new menu an ordered with a wait time of 45mins, after an hour had passed I called the takeaway to find out what the delay was, to be told rudely that they are under new management and do not deliver that far away 🤔, they had our details yet did not call to let us know of this problem nor ask if we were able to come and collect or receive any type of apology. They have lost a customer in us and will tell our neighbours that we previously recommended them about this as we will never use them again. I cannot comment on the food as we did not even get the chance to sample it.

We have being using Kintore Tandoori for a couple of years now! We always go for the meal deal for 2 which is excellent value for what you get. We always go for the Chicken Masala as our mains which is very very delicious! However, one small point is that the last couple of times we have ordered from here, we have not been too impressed as they have seemed to have either changed chefs or the recipe of their masala sauce as it has not been quite as good as it once was. All in all value, for money is excellent!

If I'm honest haven't used this take away for a long time as being previously disappointed, sadly my wife was totally unimpressed with the salad which must have been too near a heat source and was inedible. What we had, other than the salad, was ok.... but biggest problem is the place is filthy and we won’t be back.

Haven't been here for ages. Forgot how brilliant their food is. Hubby had the korma, son had spicy garlic chicken, I had dansak. Special fried rice, poppadoms with the little tubs of salad and of course a garlic naan. "Heaven" that's all I need to say.

I ate here on a Sunday around 5:30pm. I went for Chicken Bhoona and it was lovely. I also had Vegetable Samosas and they were very nice too. The taste was delicious, and the portion size was good. I ordered online and the food was ready within 20 minutes. The bill came to around £10 for one starter and one main course from the "old favourites" range. I would definitely eat here again.

Used Kintore Tandoori a few times and never been disappointed. Food is excellent and in good portions, service is quick and efficient and if you go for delivery that has always been fine too. usually ahead of the time promised. Highly recommend this takeaway

We use this Indian regularly and always get a brilliant meal. Can highly recommend the tuk tuk Bhuna and chicken chaat.

Very small portion sizes once again tonight, can count the pieces of chicken on one hand. Definitely not value for money.

Went out with friends, staff are friendly and always have good food, Highly recommend this takeaway for all occasions🤗🤗

Tasty and Amazing food - no request is too much. Always a good meal and excellent service. Will always be back and the chilli chicken Masala is THEEEEE Best!

I decided to give this Take Away one last chance after having two previous disappointments, I don't know if they have changed the Chief lately but the last few meals we have had were very bland, last year we had many meals and enjoyed most, the one I ordered tonight was supposed to be spicy with green chillies, it was more like a Korma, with NO sign of any green chillies, They won an award last year for best Carry Out, sadly not this year, sorry I won't be back I'll drive further to find a decent spicy meal.

Just had another another excellent meal, chicken korma & chicken bhuna with rice and naan bread, everything piping hot and delicious. Eaten from here many times and never had a bad meal and even better now you can order online.

Yo he visitado el Kintore Tandoori a unas 4 o 5 veces, la comida es siempre caliente, grandes porciones de los tubos y lo más importante muy sabroso. Seguiremos ir siempre desde aquí.

Everytime I've been into this tandoori the scran has always been potent. I highly advise coming here

Used this Indian a few times since the Blackburn one closed. Wish I'd found it sooner. Food is great value for money and very tasty. Would highly recommend.

Friday night.Trip to Inverurie for our takeaway or just go down the road?Elected to go for our local tandoori in Kintore.Phoned the order in.£36. Guys at the counter obviously don't know the menu - one of the orders wrong, had to wait 10 mins for the correction whilst the rest of the food stewed. Got home and the pilau was boiled rice but charged for pilau.Quality - mine was ok but wife left half of hers - tandoori chicken with a lentil soup kind of sauce.Mental note for next time - just make the trip to the Shahi Darbar as usual.

Hello. Please give our thanks to the Manager(s) and others for the wonderful food for our 5th Anniversary . We had an amazing and taste like fresh wow. We ordered garlic chilli lamb,chicken Balti,2 pillow rice and sweet nan the food at Echo absolutely spectacular (we ate two meals there). also we get 2 free of charge poppadoms with spiced onions, thr Waiter was just wonderful, Looking forward to make order again in the future. What a great place! 

Over the two years of being in Kintore I've had lot of the menu now and can honestly it's been good every single time! It's no wonder they have won awards.Keep us the good work and can highly recommend it to anyone!

Every single time i have went the food has been superb, the young boys who work Friday/Saturday/Sunday are fabulous, very polite and always keep us happy, a great representation for your TakeAway!!!

Since moving out of Aberdeen I have been on the hunt for a nice place to replace my old locals - this one is a keeper.Every time I go they never let me down, the food is quickly made and very well made and presented.Tastes get the juices flowing and are amazing!! Size of portions are big and always full before finishing.Had most of the Menu now and can't fault it.

delicious food. Have had takeaway from there on multiple occasions but the service can be quite variable - often pleasant but sometimes down right cold shoulder - disappointing as we are locals!

So last night my family and I ordered a korma, we asked for it madras hot, which they didn't question. The hot korma was perfect! Sweet, creamy and hot! We had a lamb east Bengal curry, first thing it was so disgustingly sweet when there are no sweet ingredients, way too much sugar added and it wasn't even edible and more like a Chinese curry. The lamb in this was tikka, it was so tough we couldn't eat it. We also ordered a chilli chicken, it was the same way too sweet!! It was like a sweet and sour from the Chinese, the chicken was good tho. We had a mixed Bhuna, the lamb in it was amazing, which was not tikka and the curry itself was ok, but again too sweet. The flavours and spices in all the dishes were pretty good, but the addition of way to much sugar it ruined all the flavours. We will go back I think, but we will ask for no sugar to be added to the tomato based curries. If it is the paste they add sugar to, I would suggest they reduce the quantity.

last 2 meals there were a disappointment. Have found alternatives locally much better. We won't go back.

I was eating here long before they were awarded "best takeaway in Aberdeenshire" and I'm so glad they won as the food is just fantastic. I'll continue to eat here for as long as they stay open. I'd be surprised if this place doesn't instantly become your favourite in the area.

Had food from here the other night tasted amazing.. Chicken korma is by far the finest I have tasted also it's good value for money

Kintore Tandoori is fantastic! Bit expensive, so its a treat for us but would highly recommend their chicken korma. Portion sizes are worth the money you pay and so is the food

Have eaten here before but last night my daughter decided to treat us for our silver wedding we ordered the set menu 2 plus chilli prawns. When phoning I said that we didn't like coriander so please don't put any on please. The chicken pakora was so greasy the bag was dripping and you guessed it covered in coriander. The tikka was ok a wee bit sweet the lentil Dahl was horrible the onions were burnt black and other than that there was no taste.The chilli prawns nice but coriander all over Dahi and prawns.Nan thick and chewy.I would have taken it back but as it was a gift from daughter I didn't like. So disappointed.

Local take away, food is consistently of a high quality and having just about tried the majority the menu to date we have never been dissappointed. Staff are friendly,service is prompt, , dishes are produced to taste if required, prices are very competative. Hard to fault this take away establishment as it produces that high quality sit-in restaurant food.

Mighty fine takeaway curries. Hot, if you like 'em that way, not so spicy if you're not so macho. But always bags of flavour. You can really taste the spices. We have yet to be disappointed. The only reason they don't get top marks is because they don't deliver to your door.

This is definitely my favourite Bangladeshi takeaway,I live in Edinburgh where they pride themselves on having some of the best indian restaurant and takeaways in Britain....let me tell that none of them are a patch on Kintore tandoori!! Whenever I am in Aberdeen I make a point of visiting,the food is just superb,love it ....always good luck

This takeaway has a fantastic offer to feed a family for around £21.95. It feeds 4 comfortably and we've shared between 5 before. There are lots of options to choose from in this deal. You get a starter, 2 curries, 2 portions of rice, a side, naan bread and popadoms. Excellent value for money!Every curry I've tried from here has been delicious - tikka masala, bhuna, rogan josh, jalfrezi. The onion bhajis and mushroom bhaji are great too. They're very busy and we've always phoned around order. Never been more than a 40 minute wait. Service is excellent. I haven't been to a better Indian takeaway in the area, I would highly recommend.

Kintore tandoori's is by far the best I have ordered from . The staff are very polite, the food was out of this world and service is second to none . Highly recommended !

I've tried the Kintore Tandoori 4 times now.The food is ok, there is an inconsistency however with the "set menu".I appreciate that it is "set" however a lot of Takeaways I've tried allow you to switch the main meal. This is where the inconstancy lies. First time I went I was told "no, we are just to busy for that" Different guy the next time "yeah no problem £1.50 extra to switch a dish" this is fine. Went last night and was told it was "£3.50 to switch a dish, says it on the back if the menu" (which is doesn't) What I'm looking for is an Indian that offers it's customers a bit of flexibility to bring them back, that's not the Kintore Tandoori I'm afraid.

My boy friends deside to order take away first time visit however place was busy, good sign.service was excellent we ordered chicken tikka starters,chicken korma,king prawn taktak bhoona taste like freshly cooked, rice and sweet nan well cooked breads it was fantastic Best take away in north east xxxxx
