Kinmel Arms in Isle of Anglesey

We have had lunch here each time we visit Anglesey and have never been disappointed .hubbie had the biggest gammon I have ever seen served and he loved it.i had chicken curry with chips and rice and it was great.staff very friendly and plenty of room for our two dogs

Good food and beer. Dog friendly. Dog water barrel and plenty of bowls outside. Treats at the bar. Dogs made welcome inside the restaurant area. Nice little pebble beach nearby with lots of dogs.

Ok pub, service poor . Waited almost 1 hour for food . Actually the food was good when it finally arrived .

Heart of the community pub with lovely staff. Ideal position where you can watch the world go by at the front and fabulous decked area at the rear. A real sun trap. Pizzas at Y Dec were amazing.

We live locally and have eaten here before and thought it was very very average pub grub. This time we came to have a pizza at the newly opened deck behind the pub however they had sold out by 6pm of everything! As we had a baby and six friends with us we reluctantly opted to eat outside the pub again! 30 minute wait turned into 1.5 hours with forgotten meals, what did turn up was barely edible with cheap ingredients that was badly cooked. If you are any type of 'foody' I would avoid this place like the plague, those that say the food is good here clearly don't get out much! The location is great and that's what keeps this place in business, that and the fact it's the only pub in Moelfre !! This is a tourist hot spot and without them they would be closed in a month. Awful food and service I really wouldn't waste your money. Go to the chippy up the road it's lovely!

What a wonderful find...the food was superb..the beer was great..and the two lady owners where really welcoming..we had two brilliant meals and drinks in two days and would of had more but our holiday came to an end...but we will definitely be back next year

Came here twice while we were stopping in Amlwch Once for lunch (sandwiches chips & onion rings) Then again the following evening (sea bass & lamb koftas) Both meals were very very nice Very dog friendly which was ideal for us And the beer I found was spot on On both occasions the pub was very full so they must be doing something right 👍🏻

Friendly pub, good beer, food far from good, burger which was just an over done Birdseye like burger with nothing else in a homepride bin, pasta was mushy.

We booked as there are 7 of us and we had a lovely table in the window. We all ordered different and all had food envy. Delicious roast dinner with lots of gravy, veg and a Yorkshire pudding. Liver & onions with a very tasty gravy. Falafel was tasty as was the scampi and chips. Hunter’s chicken was also delicious. All washed down with some wine. Excellent, friendly and chatty service. So glad we came here. House Curry on Wednesday so will back.

We’ve been coming here for 5 years and this place never fails to impress. Superb food, lovely staff and a fantastic view. Do you need anything else?! Was reluctant to sing their praises (again) as we want to keep them a secret....! Always a lovely welcome.

We decided to come here for lunch, great thing was they allowed dogs in to the pub. My partner ordered the burger and I ordered the bacon, brie and cranberry. The bacon was extremely tough and the chips were alright. The cheesy bread lacked garlic unfortunately. They did have doggie treats though.

Popped in for a quick pint and a bite to eat after walking along the coastal path. It is a lovely pub with all the measures in place to feel comfortable and safe. This was the first time we have popped to a pub like this since lock down and we really enjoyed it. Tourist prices but that's only to be expected.

Stopped here for lunch after waking along the coastline from Lligwy beach. Food and service were excellent. We will be back!

We turned up for a late lunch after a lovely day in Moelfre with our family and the dog!. There was a one way system in place, and a queue for the bar which moved quickly. A lovely lady at the bar quickly cleared off a table that had just been vacated and popped us a beer on it to keep it for us! There was a limited menu, but served its purpose. The food came really quickly and was absolutely amazing, large portions, fresh and tasty! I can highly recommend the Jacket Potato & Prawns...5* service, single use menu's, one way system, sanitizer - That's the way to do it! We will definitely be back here! Wonderful.

We can’t fault the food and service we received today. There was a particular lady, member of staff who was very helpful, thank you! The food was thoroughly enjoyed by all three of us, varied choices and all dishes were plentiful. But more importantly, the best establishment as far as Covid -19 is concerned. We have been in a few eateries over the past few weeks, but the Kinmel Arms Moelfre stands out above all the rest, they are trying there very best in a difficult situation, Well done and Thank you to all involved

My family and I had a spontaneous visit early afternoon. The pub was well organised with a one way system with separate tills for food and drink orders. The whole pub was exceptionally clean with paper menus which I assume they dispose off after each table, condiments in sachets and doors and windows open to allow air to circulate . The staff on the bar were lovely and friendly and we were served quickly. We did wait for our food for around 40 minutes, but this was expected due to the volume of customers who had ordered before us. The food which arrived was fresh, hot and delicious, with large portions. The waiting on staff were also lovely and friendly. This was our first meal out since lockdown restrictions were eased and we couldn’t fault service, food quality or cleanliness.

After a disappointing experience at another Robinson's pub on the island we phoned the Kinmel Arms to enquire if they had a table. We were informed that they weren't taking bookings, only walk-ins, but that any wait wouldn't be too long. We arrived and were met by a member of the bar team who told us there were no tables. It was mentioned that we had phoned through and another member of staff stepped in and said if we waited outside with a drink a table would become available. After a 15 minute wait the member of bar staff saw us to our table. Despite how busy it was there was a full menu, which was pleasing. We waited over 40 minutes for our food, however when it arrived it was lovely. It was decided that we would have a pudding. The Belgian waffle arrived without the toffee sauce. I questioned the waitress and she said she wasn't sure if it was meant to have toffee on it, before returning with a small pot of sauce. When I asked if that was it she rudely said yes and walked off. I raised the concern with another member of staff who resolved the issue immediately and apologised for the rudeness of the other member of staff. To sum up, food was generally excellent but some members of staff needing lessons in positive customer interaction.
