Kingsway Farm, Dining & Carvery in Dundee City

It took a long time for the food to leave the place, with the eta constantly changing. However, the food was amazing, and lovely quantity, so the wait was worth it.

Ordered extra pigs in blankets and yorkshire pudding as I love a yorkie! However realised that not only did I not receive the extras I paid for - but not even the pig in blanket and yorkie that comes as standard before extras. :(

Good atmosphere, clean and welcoming. Good food. Good service once order given. The lemon cheesecake was delicious 😋

This was not the best of visits - three adults and a 3 year old. Our table was dirty, and so were the menus - sticky. We were told to leave these on the window sill, (having had to use them to choose our food. The table never did get cleaned. Our order had missing/wrong/stale items - our 3 year old grandson’s carrot sticks were dried out and curled up, his corn on the cob didn’t arrive and he was brought a cider instead of the fruit carton ordered. The corn on the cob came later after we pointed out it was missing, and the drink error was corrected. Food was not great, and service virtually non-existent. It was a Sunday, and the self-service Carvery was on the go, so in theory service should have been better, given the majority were helping themselves. The play area was the best thing on this visit.

My family 13 adults and 4 children visited on Sunday 24th November 2024 something we do every November. Once we all decided what we were having to eat I then went to order. The assistant Lucy was very efficient, so helpful and very cheerful. We placed the order which included drinks which was brought to our table quickly after ordering. The carvery which is always popular was again chosen by the majority of us with the exception of an "all day brekfast" and a kids "pasta a veg ". No complaints , food was excellent. It was very busy which added to the pleasant atmosphere with children enjoying the play area added to which was a beautiful Christmas tree. A lovely warm festive atmosphere. The staff were all very pleasant and efficient and must be congratulated. All in all a most enjoyable meal drinks and pleasant atmosphere. Thank you. ISOBEL WHITE

Food only warm ,fish super looked like it had been deep fried 3 times, asked for well done steak very very dry and looked like it had been microwaved before fried, calvary didn't have any gammon,roast beef dried outthuck skin on gravy

Lovely lunch out even though the staff was busy they looked after us very well! Staff all pleasant and friendly! We shall be back again

I went with my friend for carvery on a Friday and was absolutely divine! Staff was very kind, specially Andrew Stewart, he showed us our table and was very attentive. The food was unbelievable! I don't know if this happens in all carvery places but you choose your plate and help yourself. It was amazing! We finished our dinner with the toffee cake. I felt in heaven with that cake! For sure we'll come back!!😁😁

Kingsway farm Dundee I had a very good impression of this restaurant, I came on holiday to Dundee and it was recommended to me so I went and had the famous Carvery, it was great. The prices are good and the restaurant staff were lovely especially Andrew who gave us a very nice service and even commented a few words in my language. Totally recommend this place.

This site is barbaric. It's filling and pretty cheap for Scotland. Fast and very professional waiters. At least Andrew was what he was when we went.

3 slivers of meat packed into a box with all the veg it was like mush the burger and fries were freezing not good at all really poor

Recently had a small baby shower here and everything went so smoothly - Michael was our server and he was super nice and helpful, all the food came around the same time and we were allowed to decorate our table with some small decorations. Very happy with the experience

Food really improved, server Michael really pleasant guy. Kids play area super cold though. Had to ask them to pop heating on.

A wee bit run down inside. Food was excellent and great value,Michael who served us was great couldn't do enough for us thank you.

Three adults n 2 children for Saturday lunch. 4 carveries n a burger n chips. All presented well, hot and tasty with reasonably quick service. Will be back.

Food came out at different times, between a table of 4. 3 out of 4 had their food. I had enough time to go outside and vape before my food eventually arrived only to be missing the onion rings from my meal. I love that they reply with an email address and then don't reply to email. Is that just to look like they are interested in what customers have to say??

Great food at reasonable prices Warm welcoming staff in all departments. Nice and cosy atmosphere. It was busy, and it took a little time to be served, however my party all had a good time. Definitely would visit again.

Ordered a gluten free meal, it was served with chips which are not gluten free. The meal was taken away, chips replaced with a baked potato which was ice cold. Not comfortable sending the meal back for the second time and waiting yet again for a replacement.

Food was great per usual. Staff are lovely and service is fairly quick.

Place is a shadow of what it used to be, tables and chairs broken, a pathetic attempt at a childrens play area with cash grab machines instead of toys, always understaffed and annoying waits to be served at the bar (getting checked in at an airport is quicker), cakes have no creativity and no longer change from week to week, bar itself is sticky and a lot of ice cream and items on the main menu out of stock due to 'supply issues', carpets are dated and dirty, draught drinks are flat and no decent choice of lagers, i could go on but i would be here all day, im afraid this is just another chain that only cares about making money and not the guest experience, the food was below average, had better food in a wetherspoons at half the price, avoid

First time ordering online could not fault food or delivery . just unfortunately I ordered the carvery and cake and did not get my cake. but would not put me off from ordering again 👌

Macaroni was like over cooked micro meal and garlic bread was burnt. Always hit or miss with this place. Same happened last time, complained and they brought me another portion of the same thing. Definitely won't be back.

Went for breakfast this morning and was so disappointed the bacon was so undercooked and fatty, the black pudding was like cardboard the sausages were unedable the haggis stuck to the roof of my mouth and you no longer get jam for your toast 😑 we have ate there many times and never had a bad experience until today my husband left most of his food it will be a long time before we return

pais for extra yorkie and pigs in blankets just to get no pigs in blankets at all. did not replace with anthing else extra if they had run out. very poor. any other resturaunt would have at least called to offer alternitive.

We actually came a few weeks ago and it was brilliant so i thought we would come again, boy was i wrong... one of the worst dining experiences, got seated at a dirty, sticky table, our napkins were from a toilet paper dispenser... like no joke, is that how you save money? The food took a while and was dry, no staff around to ask for assistance, all seemed to happy to congregate around the hosting station computer... took a cake home too, it was also dry and had todays date on it... why sell it at full price if you are not going to get it for at least a whole day... you sell them on too good to go at a discount but not to actual customers, joke

Ordered carvery and the portion sizes were very generous. All tasty and highly recommend.

Food bit of a letdown found a couple of hairs in the mash bit cold as well. Service was friendly and welcoming but there facilities and decor could so with an upgrade as well some of the play items for the kids were cracked in places very unsafe. Can't fault the staff they were lovely just the actual place and food needed to be better.

It was our first time on that restaurant for breakfast. Food was okay, we choose vegetarian option on the buffet, but there was half of the things was not in there as told in menu you can get . We had to wait quite long time

We both had a small carvery. All the food was delicious, but we'd have preferred it to be a bit hotter. We had to wait a while at the counter to buy our drinks & our carvery tickets.

Not a great place. Ordered cheese burger and it was too dry and tasteless. Staff seemed to be arrogant and unwelcoming. Wouldn’t spend my money there anymore.

Got only a tiny bit of meat and the beef was extremely dry and over cooked and gammon was undercooked

Food was horrendous did not taste anything like a roast dinner the gammon was good same with Yorkshire pudding the broccoli was watery mush carrots were ok tiny bit of mash cauliflower was hiding under so made it look loads but only small spoon

The food was mediocre. The service was unfriendly and incomprehensible. The tables were still dirty from the previous guest.

It was our great nieces 4th birthday and all our meals were good and the customer service we received especially from the extremely helpful member of staff named Lucy who went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. We had a family meal booked for last Sunday, the food was great. The carvery was excellent value. Great choice of vegetables. It was very child friendly. We were served by George who made us all feel welcome throughout the visit. Would highly recommend. Will look forward to our next visit.

Lovely Sunday carvery with a good selection of food at a great price. Served by Michael who was very helpful and friendly, as were the other staff.

We came in for some lunch after our daughters football match. The food was great, the service was great, Michael was nice and chatty and had a bit of banter with us too. I couldn't fault anything. I had the carvery which was great 😋. The children had the chocolate brownie Sundays and thought they were great.

Food was good, staff were friendly. App was a bit temperamental, misplaced a couple of our orders, but we were a large group so that may account for it.

Cheap and cheerful family friendly place. Normal pub grub.

Our first time at Kingsway Dundee & We came to celebrate a family birthday . It was a busy evening so pleased we booked in advance. The food Was excellent & great portion sizes. Would have had a sweet but too full. The Price was great so we were able to afford it. As for the staff , you should be very proud, you provide an excellent customer service & very friendly . Appreciate all your efforts thank you . We'll certainly be back.

Myself and children went for Breakfast this morning, we hadn't booked prior to our visit. It was very busy, luckily there was a table for us. We were served by Jamie who was very kind and had the most lovely manners. Nothing was to much bother for him, amazing customer service. Food was perfect and hot Will definitely be back :)

Only called in for a couple of beers on a stop over. So expensive I thought I was in central London. Only choice of Bierra Moretti or Peroni lager at £5.95 plus a pint. It's a carvery!!!! Where's the carling/fosters options instead of premium beers????

The most delicious cakes! They are a fairly decent size and very filling. Got two different kinds, the fudge chocolate and the fudge and they both had incredible icing and soft sponge. Definitely will be ordering again!

Breakfast orange tasted chemical, bacon far too salty,hagis was laced with garlic sausages dry,but baked beans were ok😂man on breakfast bar could not understand English,never again.

First time here for a party of four. All our meals were excellent. Good portions, hot and tasty food. The service was outstanding with Dale going the extra step to ensure the requirements for a gluten and dairy free meal (genuine allergies) were met. Dale was the perfect host.

I came here with my friend for a meal and a catch up. Lucy on the bar was fantastic. So friendly, presentable and all round lovely.

We have been here a few times lately as we have a family member in Ninewells. The service is always excellent and chatty. The person on the bar today was extremely helpful and has served us a few times I think its Lucy. Helped me with an app on phone also and told me to stop apologising for taking up their time. Excellent customer service

My second experience in this restaurant. I usually order Via app to avoid contact with anyone. I’m a picky eater and couldn’t decide what I wanted. I approached someone possibly named Lucy and asked a few questions. I may have the wrong name as I have such a bad memory but anyway I’d like to thank this girl for giving me information and helping me decide what I wanted! We had a lovely time and between the staff front of house and behind the bar, we settled in just fine! Will 100% come back sometime and switch up our choices next time!

Been a Returning customer a few times . However, tonight was an exception ( in a brilliant way.) when myself and my wife entered, we were greeted by a cheery member of staff who showed us to our table. When ordering at the bar. A really nice member of staff ( his name was jamie) explained the carvery situation. That they were short on items. I really appreciated this as he was honest and apologetic, however it did not put me off ordering the carvery. I took advantage of a promotion that they are running at the moment, and my wife ordered what she wanted. To top it off, The nice member of staff - Jamie , wavered our drinks off our bill. A nice touch. We had our food, it was well cooked, and tasted nice. I had the standard carvery, my wife had a chicken dish. The staff are always very attentive, making sure the customers are happy. As I say. I have been here before a few times. But because of Jamie and his team. I'll be returning again. I'm really happy with the service and the experience tonight. Thanks again

Food was lovely, very tasty. The servers were very friendly and were keen to make sure we were happy with our food etc.

Great fish and chips, kids meals went down well and the indoor entertainment for the kids was great.

Stopped on way to Edinburgh for an all day breakfast but there was a buffet one available. Michael at the bar took care of us. Plenty selection, left with a full belly and will definately return.

Went to kingsway farm for tea the other night as a last minute meal, staff were very helpful and we enjoyed our time there place was clean and food was hot. Lots of options for food and kids have space to play which is always a bonus. Definitely be back!
