Great place for a coffee and a bite. But it's closed down now. Hopefully it will open up again sometime.

Amazing find!!! of a cafe and gallery! Coffee is the best I’ve had anywhere and the homemade cakes are amazing! The menu is fab for breakfast or lunch and the venue itself is gorgeous - they also sell vinyl and the staff are lovely- dogs are welcome- it’s our favourite chill out place by the quayside!

Hands down the best toasted sandwich and cup of Earl Grey that I've ever had. This cafe is a jewel in Blyth. It's quirky, artistic, they have the best musical taste (mostly indie) and the staff are lovely and friendly. Once you've sated your appetite, the art gallery next door is worth perusing. 👌 Perfection!

Me and the partner decided to have a walk around Blyth and stumbled upon this gem. The Gallery is free for all visitors in which you can even build your own little city. Food was lovely, generous portions and lovely staff. Chairs made me feel like I was right at home, will be back.

Beautiful building, so pleased the cafe has kept so many of the original features . Fabulous breakfasts and lunches and the coffee is always freshly made. A good selection of home made sweet treats are on offer daily too. Definitely a hidden gem !

Beautiful building with original features, lovely atmosphere. Staff is very polite and helpful to answers any questions you have. Choice of homemade cakes, grilled sandwiches and great coffee all at affordable prices. Ordered BLT and grilled cheese sandwich American style both equally delicious. Well worth the visit.

Really friendly server who offered me the book to look at as well as the photos of the café in days gone by. We shared rocky road and banana cake and friends sampled others including flapjack. Generous slices. First drinks we had were all piping hot ( I had tea so mine ok both times) but 2nd round the coffees were luke warm. They made fresh ones but still not as hot as the 1st. Hubby loved the flavour though. I'm not normally a lover of rocky road but this was so light and melted in the mouth. I would not hesitate going back again as it's in a beautiful building with the stained glass windows and mahogany bar etc. Next time I'll try a sandwich as I have got more of a savoury tooth! Thank you 👍🏻

seriously incredible sausage sandwich. Lovely brioche crispy bread, chargrilled sage sausage which is so moist and flavourful. You should definitely read the black book if you want to hear stories of the venue back in the 80s and 90s - first kisses, stories from old employees, ‘hairy’ music upstairs There’s a box of vinyls and you can choose one to put on

This is genuinely one of (if not the) coolest cafes in the North East! Great gallery next door! I can’t think of anywhere else that has as many quirky features! When you’re inside, your eyes are drawn to the stain glass windows, wooden features, decorative floor, and lights. They’ve got it absolutely right. 10/10 Also, gluten free cake available 😀

Good points - dog friendly! Homemade, good quality food and ingredients. The rocky road was lovely! Good quality coffee, nice flavour Not so good points - tiny coffee (flat white sized cup) for £4.50. I had oat milk which is an extra 40p and decaf is an extra 60p. Overall would return and try food as it looked really lovely! Big plus I can take my dog too!

Only stayed briefly to ask if they were still serving food. Barman was very helpful, telling me they stopped serving food last October (2023). Google entry states they still serve and all the signs outside say they serve food. Take them down so that us hungry travellers don't go out of our way to find you. Thanks again for the tips of where I might find somewhere to eat

I visited the cafe as a competitor in the Cheviot Goat ultra marathon, and they do an incredible job for looking after all the runners and event staff. The soup after 55 miles of moorland tastes like the best thing ever. A lovely location, with lovely people.

Just went in for lunch, not sure of accommodation services. Lovely choices on menu and food was delicious. Staff were understanding of a disability and attentive to adjustments if required. One chicken goujon sandwich, one posh fish finger sandwich and one Steak & Ale pie with mushy peas. All with hand cut chips. Fish fingers and chicken goujons were freshly battered and more than adequate portions. Delcious. Chips were best we have had for a long time. Heaps of beautofully braised steak in pie and the tastiest gravy! Can be accessed from front (main high street) or rear (through beer garden, outside of which there are multiple car parks). One of our party struggles with mobility and had a four wheel Walker. Both entrances have access ramps and although a few steps, there is a hand rail available and were manageable for her. Definitely recommend. Will be back.
