Bath tap/shower, refused to open up more then 10%, nakung neither possible. Shower head not tightened to water pipe, leaking.

The staff were very friendly and helpful in the hotel and bar. Food was excellent. Room was warm clean and tidy. But every time we entered the room the was a waft of smelly toilet or damp and it need cleaning round taps in sink and bath. There was only two teabags each day but 4 coffee ? No vegan option on carvary even though it was requested when booking table Outside when it snowed it hadn't been gritted properly on the steps or disability ramp

Rooms were clean and comfortable as usual, But the restaurant is now looking tired with dirty and threadbare chairs and old tired tables, and half of the red tables look as if they have been purchased from an old cafe

Loved it. Service was very good, food was good, room was what we needed for the night.

Everybody was friendly. Rooms were very clean and well filled with towels and tea etc . Plenty of towels and space and the food was lovely.

being disabled i find the service excelent everytime i stop here with good access to everything friendly welcoming staff in the lodge and in the pub

Comfortable stay at a very affordable price. Dinner was lovely. Staff very friendly and accommodating to all our needs.

Excellent service. I only booked this a few hours before arriving. When I arrived, the lady on reception was lovely, very helpful & explained everything with detail. The room is very clean & beds very comfortable.

very nice place. Great room. lovely pub next door food is perfect. rooms are mint clean only thing that I found to be annoying was the wifi. drops off your phone non stop. I tried to connect my fire stick to it but it just buffered non stop. that's my only complaint.

Great food, great app to order food. Table service was very good and very friendly staff. We did not have a stay, which is why I have not rated the rooms.

Stayed here on 5th May. The hotel room was lovely, great bed and bathroom facilities. Perfect location. You can hear a bit of noise from the corridor and rooms next door sometimes. Tv was good, could done with instructions as bbc wasn’t working had to use the HD channels, sorted it after checking different channels. Breakfast was gorgeous in the pub next door, plenty of choice. I had booked here as a overnight stay in between visiting Scunthorpe and Redcar speedway, lost a meeting at Scunthorpe on the night as it was torrential rain and called off 30 minutes before, hoping for better luck tonight at Redcar:

The staff were great, the room was warm, clean and aired. The meal in the evening was as good as I would expect. Those are all the positives. You brew two of the most fantastic beers on the planet and whenever I stay at a Marstons Inn they are what let you down consistently. I do not blame the staff at all but the company itself for not ensuring the systems are in place to serve the beer in peak condition

We have gone to The Kings Chamber every year on Christmas Eve for a meal with our oldest daughter and her family for a meal and the place has definitely gone downhill, the food is nowhere near as nice as it used to be and the atmosphere is not as pleasant as it used to be. A lot more rowdy and is more like a working man's club full of very loud customers who only go for a, drink, not a famley restaurant anymore.

Excellent service, even moved to a room with walk in wet room, as on a walker without request. The Manager was a lovely young lady who could not do enough to help. Great experience, would defo stay again. Great😀😀

Iv spent 14 weeks here and dined most nights in the pub. The food is nice and has a reasonable price. The rooms in the annex are clean and well laid out with usb sockets and 230v near the bed.

Google wanting review of the hotel which I have never visited. Seems to be a constant issue with Marston's. Food was nice in the pub and the staff were friendly.

The guys in pub restaurant checking me in were super friendly and the room was fabulous. I am really impressed and will come again

Only used the pub for a carvery meal. Everything was fresh and cooked nicely but 1 star less as veg wasn't very hot. Also 1 star less for the Wainwright beer that was a bit off. Overall a nice place to eat

Superb food very child friendly, pleasant surroundings with all access for disabled with ample parking all round excellent visit , we have been quite a few times before and we will be going again.

Das Hotel liegt verkehrstechnisch sehr günstig und ist gut von der Autobahn erreichbar. Die Zimmer waren sauber und ordentlich - kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es direkt vor dem Hotel genügend. Wichtig: Die Rezeption befindet sich in der daneben liegenden Bar. Dort gibt es morgens auch Frühstück bzw. kann man hier Abends auch Essen und Trinken - wobei das Essen eher so mittelmäßig gewesen ist. Alles in allem eine eine gute Übernachtungsmöglichkeit, die durchaus empfehlenswert ist.

The service was good, friendly staff and the carvery was delicious. The only let down was the breakfast, mainly the continental breakfasts selection of food.

Had a couple of pints here whilst checking in to the hotel. Rooms were clean and bathroom was fine. Only thing to take note is that you have to check in at the pub, which worked out well 🤣

Lovely family day out.. the grandchildren enjoy both inside and outside play areas. Food was prepared to a high standard we all had the carvey, was so nice we cleared out plates with no photos! Staff was super helpful, and cheerful, polite, and seemed to love their jobs. Can't fault Kings Chambers, should we ever be in the area again we'll definitely drop in.. Thank you!

Vile carvery ...chef practised his surgeon skills on how thin he could carve the meat . Peas n rest of veg swimming in nasty margarine .The stuff reeks. Was a work meal so for free I carnt really whinge that much eh x

VERY expensive for mediocre food and poor customer service. Wouldn't recommend.

Very clean hotel, easy access from motorway. Nice rooms equipped with everything you need, friendly staff and great food. Would definitely stay here again. Only slight downside is the bar closed at 10pm on the Sunday night but the staff were extremely courteous and didn't rush us at all. The 24 hour McDonald's right next door rounded off the night nicely.

I stayed for 4 days as I was visiting my sister for her 80th birthday as a surprise. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the only problem was the key card!! I had to have it recharged 3 times which was very annoying!!

A lovely comfortable room for a good night's sleep, restaurant has good choices and tasty food, recommend you also go all out with the breakfast.

Friendly good food good service

Carvery disappointing. Arrived tea time so would've expected better / fresher- the roast pots had been kept warm too long - some hard some chewy, cauli cheese sauce more akin to milk, carrots way too hard (not al dente), stuffing not browned. All bland even the gravy, I never add salt at the table, but did to this food, with little improvement. How can you get a roast dinner so wrong? First carvery out post Covid, Doubt I will bother again with this one. Company was good though, so all was not lost 🙂👍

Food was lovely but staff 3 staff standing another greeting people but busy chatting away to each other but only 1 on the bar a d was very busy had to wait over 10 mins maybe get the customers severed when there wasn't ant one coming In only takes 1 person to greet guests work in this industry x

Mothers day meal was ordered off the menu and also 2 carvery meals , the carvery was as always good value for money and reasonable priced , the food ordered of the menu was very poor , the burgers were not made , they were like frozen ones , the other meals were OK.... if you want cheapish food this is an OK place

Was looking forward to our 1st visit, Got a large Carvery because I was really hungry, asked if I could have half and half gammon and beef choice, given more gammon and less beef. That was 1st disappointment but was a good thing in another way because the beef was so dry and fatty and tough to cut, even an elderly couple behind us complained that it was bad,... Have to say was not happy there was no roast pork on offer like most other Carverys do, (its not an expensive meat) Don't think ill give it another visit 🙄🙄

Competitively priced budget accommodation. A little disappointing that the continental breakfast option was subject to limitations under each category, e.g. one item from a list (and only one cup of coffee and no refills), instead of allowing guests to select their own choices as is available with some similar priced establishments.

First time at the Kings Chamber. Had the cooked breakfast. Other option, Breakfast cereal or croissants, full English breakfast, toast, fruit juice. Plenty to choose from. Friendly staff, clean restaurant. Will definitely call here again. Well worth the visit.

Very prompt check in, very clean rooms. Reasonably priced food

Good location, hotel really clean, would recommend. Had a meal in the adjoining pub, meal very nice and staff especially Angela who served us was very attentive. Would not hesitate to stay and eat here again.

Overall I was more than happy with the service I experienced. All the staff I had interaction with were very helpful. I would definitely use again.

The food and service is good however I find to be over expensive and rather small portions of pub food don't think I will return there's far better places for considerable less cost

Only went here for a quiet midweek drink but it was pleasant enough, and the lady behind the bar was also nice.

The fairgreen hotel is a fantastic pub. Hotel with a friendly welcoming atmosphere. We are known as the fairgreen family because we make everybody welcome. We have a free pool table. Dart board and we also do food.. if eating at our place is not what you desire and fancy alternative places we will be more ghan happy to put you in the right direction. Again we pride ourselves on our friendly welcoming atmosphere.

The staff who we had contact with were really polite, pleasant, helpful and friendly. We were a party of 9, which included 2 small children. Our request to have their meals served when we had our starters didn't cause the staff member to have bemused look on her face. She also pointed out in total we had only ordered 8 mains ( forgot mine). All the food was served hot, well presented and tasted gorgeous.

Beautiful carvery, lovely hot food, with 30% off we had 2 meals and 2 drinks for just over £15 definetly recommended, the staff make it a lovely place to visit always welcoming, Thank you

Would give 5 stars but mandatory mask wearing was non existent. None of the staff were wearing masks and only about 5 % of customers. We must have been 2% of that 5%. What a shame that the attitude is not supporting the current situation and those who are vulnerable in this small town who cannot go out safely. Food good, service average, Covid compliance rubbish, non existent.

Couldnt be any more helpful if they tried, it is the best hotel and restaurant service i have ever been to, they made my stay very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble, and i would 100% be goin back.

Excellent service, staff were acommadating as we were there for a teams meeting. Cornered the area of the restaurant off for us and turned music down so we could hear. Food and drinks were excellent and tasty. Couldn't ask for better service. Thankyou.

Beds are very uncomfortable they are hard and very firm the food across the road is not bad tho and also there is not enough bedding for a family of 3
