Kings Balti in County Durham

Food took 1 hour 45 minutes to come and was all spilled out all over the bag. Customer service is absolutely horrendous, food was took back and nothing was done. I would avoid

placed order to be delivered at 10.55pm. it never arrived, no answer from the restaurant. Waited until 1am before I gave up waiting and went to bed. Very poor. won't be ordering again. would rate 0 star if I could

Bland and full of onion. Slices and even quarters of an onion. Picked them out and filled a large tin foil try. Someone obviously trying to take the Mickey.

Great meal again 10/10 as always

The service was really good, the food wasn't nice at all. The onion bajhi was over cooked to the point it was burnt, the nan bread was more like a large crisp. The curry was bland...sorry guys but I wont be returning

Not as good as usual. The naan breads were undercooked and doughy. Shish kebab was over salty and couldn't be eaten. The Balti curry was lacking in meat and too much onion. The sauce that came with the biryani was weird. Looked like it was full of frozen veg. The biryani itself was good.

Ordered food for delivery turned up very late, food had spilt all over the bag we phoned the shop but it was closed. Phoned the following day and was told yes the food tipped over in the car but it was fine then they gave us a mobile number to send photo of the food yet they never responded after that, absolutely disgusting customer service, we have used this place for ages but will never use them again avoid at all costs, spend your money at a different Indian restaurant.

Food was delivered after 11pm after the shop was closed and the food packaging was damaged and half of the curry was all over the carrier bag. Tried phoning the takeaway and it was closed and also missing a Red Bull from the order, we phoned the following day and they said they don't do drinks yet a Red Bull is listed on their menu, they also said yes the food tipped over in the car but was OK, we Sent them pictures of the packaging all over and have not recieved any reply, will never eat here

Definitely late by at least 30 minutes stone cold and over half a plate of onions and not small chunks massive chunks of onions more than anything else so it was disgusting to be honest no flavour no heat at all so disappointing never again

I contacted the restaurant when I had waited over 2hrs for my order, I was told my order was on its way ! It came eventually after 3 hrs, the food was barely warm. I rang the restaurant to ask for a refund and the girl who answered said it would be done, I’m still waiting ☹️ I have gone to the Kings Balti for about 20 yrs, I won’t be ordering from them again, lots of other Indian Takeaways to spend my money in and much nicer !

It should be specified in the menu whether it is beef, lamb or chicken

I had to order and fit a new toilet the morning after I had the vindaloo from this place, I'd highly recommend b and q for their customer service.

Our set meal for 2 arrived cold, we ordered 2 hours in advance. It was very tasteless and very big disappointment….first time ordering and it will be the last, I have informed just eat and requested a refund on this occasion.

The food was cold when it arrived. unfortunately i do not have a kitchen at present so was unable to heat it up. So it was not very nice to eat.

There were items missing from the order chopsticks x 2

It was over an hour and a half late which was disappointing.

The chips were undercooked that they were white and crunchy. The onion bhajis were swimming in oil and the centre was undercooked. The korma was ok but the masala tasted weird.

When the food eventually came it was cold and soggy!

Food is awful, ordered two masalas and don’t even taste like how it’s meant to be. The cheese naan didn’t even have any cheese in!

Sent wrong curry out, took over 30 mins to replace by that time the rest of my food was cold! wouldn't replace the cold food just said there was nothing she could do. Person answering the phone need a lesson in customer service, her attitude was shocking!

Taste great as usual, however, not the hottest tonight - possibly due to being New Years Eve and delivery being delayed (arrived end of delayed slot)

Quick service however unfortunately found the set meal for 2 main courses all to be bland tasting

Food was all good except that the madras was far too hot and actually stung my mouth on the first taste, I’ve ordered the same dish several times in the past from here and always enjoyed it but not this one, the rest of the meal was lovely though

15 minutes late, missing items. Rang up to be told didn’t have pop in which driver was meant to tell us but didn’t. Usually regular customers, doubt we’ll be back now.

Ordered at 5.30, called at 7.00...was told it was on its way, arrived at 7.30!

Lovely food. Didn't want to say it was late as the time is estimated. Was some confusion if food came with rice it didn't at least I know for future over all very happy.

Ordered on Just Eat not realising this indian is in Bishop Auckland and I live near Crook. Felt a bit guilty thinking delivery driver would have to drive so far. Food was estimated to take an hour but only took 30 mins. Food was red hot. I burnt my fingers which is a good thing. Delivery driver was nice to my Dad who answered the door. Good service. I was considering not to order as last meal was very poor, gave it another chance & pleased to say the food was hot & tasty & driver was very pleasant . Didn’t order any but would like to know if the chips are home made or frozen as I know must places are frozen, saves giving a bad review as won’t order if frozen, what we ordered 👍 good to see it’s back to serving lovely food

The food was good but not up to the usual standard. The onions in the Balti were undercooked and crunchy. I will order again as I know how good the food usually is.

Food was cold, snd incorrectly prepared. Chips were soggy. 2 of the currys had white suspicious white lumps in and they missed out parts if our order so only had half the order. Called the restaurant and they were rude. Never had a worse wxperience in the end threw the food away and ordered from a different establishment

Poor quality probably the worst I have ever tried to eat £24 put in the bin! Never order lamb chop Bhuna absolutely disgusting!

My first Indian since moving to the area and I am very disappointed rice was tasteless butter chicken never had it taste like that before and saag paneer had didn’t have any paneer just a tub of spinach and onions

Food was cold on arrival The rice was wet and tasteless not spiced. Tasted like boil in the bag rice with a few vegs thrown in it. 4 king prawns in the dish as well.

Poor quality of food I used to eat from here a little while ago then stopped after tonight I won't be back. Food was slightly warm after a late delivery my "egg fried" rice was soggy and flavourless. curry didn't seem to have any flavour to it was just a greasy mess of ingredients thrown together as for the so called chicken ot was like biting the Michelin man it was that chewy even the dog chocked on it poor poor performance won't be back EVER

35 mins late, booked for 9.30, text at 9.18 saying driver ok the way showed up after 10. Food was luke warm, rubbery chips, mushy egg rice, naan tastes plain not peshwari as very little filling, curries both sub std to what we've had in the past.driver went to wrong address in the cul-de-sac also.

Cheap but really bad. Sheek kebab starter shocking. Naan not fresh made. Salad hot, wilted and only fit for the bin. I could go on but 3/10 is high praise. Won't be ordering from here again.

Forgot drinks and was given a refund for them. Overall quality of the food was not very nice tandoori chicken was good poppadoms came smashed not a big deal. Wings and half chicken not very nice, came with alot of plastic tubs of mint sauce and a sweet and sour? Salad seemed fresh. Overall felt like a lack of pride in the food and unfortunately will not be ordering again.

Absolute shambles of a takeaway, took 2 hours to come then when it did was all absolutely stone cold. Phoned up to complain I quote and stated they said there is nothing they can do it about they going home. Phoned next day to be told that it’s the next day what does he want me to do absolute disgusting AVOID at all costs!

Disgusting food. Worst Indian takeaway I've ordered. Onion bhaji was burnt. Poppadoms were old, as if from the previous night, no crisp to them at all. Chicken tikka massalla curry was not enjoyable. Nann bread was undercooked. Food ended up in the bin, very disappointing! Would not order again.

I don't know why people have complained about the food and service here...... I've eaten at many Indian restaurants and take aways and this place is absolutely lovely. Their food is brilliant, tasty, and it's never luke warm nor cold. People moaning about silly things like they got a delivery and their poppadoms were crushed.....not being funny but you don't complain to walkers that their crisps were 'broken' LMAO!!!! The service is great too, if you want changes made or something a little different they help the best they can. The server that works there is hilarious, she has great customer service and makes me laugh....and the chef/s GREAT FOOD..... It's absolutely lovely!!!!

Chicken tasted off in curry and pakoras. Sauce had a very funny taste also. Was not nice at all.

Upon opening the bag the lid was off the chicken vindaloo container and the contents off the curry was all over inside the bag and on the other items ...been a loyal customer really disappointed, meal ruined 😒

Asked for dish to be made a bit more spicy. Dish was watery no spice and when I called to ask why they said they can't make creamy dishes spicy. Only Indian I've ever known that can't make a dish spicy. I will never go back very unprofessional and food awful

Food Was amazing, but then I have used this takeaway for a long long time now.. Being a nurse I work long hours so being able to get me meals delivered in is a life saver for me....

We ordered 5 poppadoms and what arrived was a bag of crumbs. Came 15 mins after the last delivery time

Very disappointed with the food quality today. Usually order and the food is delicious but tonight everything was really bland and the onion bhajis were all apart in pieces in the bag and also bland

I asked a nurse could I get an Indians delivered in to ward 16 for myself.. They said NO but with the way I'm not eating & I need food to build myself up..

Free chicken tikka starter free for a reason - cold clearly pre made Nan bread - cold Poppadoms - all broken to bits Chips - average Rice and Moghlai Tikka, Chicken - says yoghurt it's actually watery coconut in flavour - but atleast it was warm. Wouldn't order again

Great service let down by bland dishes. The biryani, an Indian dish used for celebrations, should be vibrant and invigorating to look and and taste. Vivid rice of orange,red, green, yellow and white smelling fresh with cardamon, corriander. What came was dull, lame and tasteless with no fragrance and dried up ingredients. This wasn't made with love. After 3 spoonfuls it went in the bin. A discrace to Indian/ Bengal quisine.

The taste of the food is terrible, not worth the money. I usually love Indian food but this food doesn't taste good.

We tried here tonight after not been for a few years. Poppadoms came crushed to pieces so I've no idea if there was the 4 I ordered in the bag, they tasted oily too. Jalfrezi smelt of vinegar. Rest of the food was nice. Overall it was ok, we've had better so we'll not be rushing back

Food was not up to usual standard the Handi curry had too much food colouring it was bright red and far too hot bordering on inedible (I didn’t eat it) The butter chicken had lumps of melting margarine in it not very appetizing Very disappointing
