Kings in Northumberland

Delicious and Affordable Fish & Chips at Kings I recently visited Kings Fish and Chips, and I was thoroughly impressed! The fish was large, flavorful, and perfectly cooked—not greasy or soaked in oil like you sometimes find. The chips were equally good, and the portion sizes were generous. What really stood out was the price—very affordable for such great quality. If you're looking for a tasty, traditional fish and chips meal that won't break the bank, I highly recommend stopping by Kings. I’ll definitely be returning!

Very disappointed, had recommended to family who were visiting as previous experiences had been good. They collected cod n chips and on opening at home discovered that it was obviously not fresh cod, unless of course cod are now square shaped. On cutting into was full of water, so clearly frozen, was inedible, will not be returning and cannot recommend.

Fish bites and chips are lovely. Had a kebab wrap as well very nice. I find portions are small compared to other places, that's fine with me

I found the Fish to be on the greasy side... but very tasty and the portion sizes are generous.

I checked opening times on the website before going. It said 'open until 9:00 p.m.' I arrived at 8:15 to see the lights on but found the door locked. I was 'told' by a blond female server (who I had just observed picking at her hair, nose and lips - yes they were closed, but still....) that they were closed by her using a 'cutting' motion across her throat. If I wasn't 'forced' to give a star so I could post this, I would be giving none.

Very poor service, already on the downward slide with quality and portion size and now not taking credit card.payment. Feels like some TAX dodge to me.

Prices gone up portion size down... Someone purchased chips for me and couldn't believe the amount.

Fish was so fresh, I love Kings.

Chip shop shut at 8 and no kebab or salad or chips or even garlic sause very disappointed this place used to be a five to me not now and for the place to be shut early is very dissapointing

Went for spam fritter and chips with gravy young girl was serving me asked if I wanted salt and vinegar I asked if I could put my own on as it was on top of counter she said I'm not supposed to let you put your own on looking nervously over her shoulder at her female boss by then I'd applied it I said sorry if she says anything tell her it was my fault can't see how you can't apply your own salt and pepper if it's placed on the counter in front of you maybe the owners got a problem with you using too much couldn't understand her she was rambling on in her own language about something and glaring at me bit of a bully me thinks

Cheaper fish and chips in Bedlington Station. Chearfull service. Big enough portions. Will definitely use again.

Definitely improved over the last few months 🤤

This used to be the very best in the area but something has changed, the management or ownership but its not like it used to be, the fish are smaller and always grease and so are the chips, where as before the fish was always crispy well buttered and properly drained of all grease as where the chips, crisp and fluffy. Unfortunately I can only give kings three stars where as once it would of gotten five with ease. Sort it out Kings.

Are the fish and chip there is great, no fantastic, if am in Bedlington and am hungry am at King's I bypass all takaways to get to King's, definitely 5 star 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Fish was tastless, don't know how you can produce a product with absolutely no flavor.

Greasy fish and chips and no offer of salt and vinegar.

Ok ordered fish n chips when I got there it was already wrapped ☹️ when I ate it no salt and vinegar !!!!!

Nice tasting food but they seem to have chips rationed on portions. Sometimes it's only as many as finger and toes that you have, just got to hope I never have any amputated or the portions could be even smaller. Fish is always nice and fresh though. 9 months later and I got a more reasonable portion of chips- not as many as other chip shops but definitely a step in the right direction. I'll wait until I've seen if it was an aberration or an actual increase before changing from 3 stars, but if it seems like a permanent change I'll update the review to 4 stars. BTW the fish was very nice and freshly cooked.

Just the best fish (bites) and chips in Northumberland!! 5 decent-sized cod bites with a generous portion of zinging hot, fresh chips £4.40 plus 50p for a handful of jalapeños to zap up the ‘dining out experience ‘ sitting on a bench outside the Coop in the evening sun. 🎼Life’s been good to me so far🎶😁🌈x

Fish and chip for £5 and large kebabs for £5 with chips and salad both nice and very enjoyable and my nan and grandad liked them to Recommend to phone order through and shop can get busy With out side main road street parking

First visit here..all cooked fresh..really big portions. Lovely fish with no bones or skin. Friendly staff smart and clean place. Would definately go back.

Bought a small order asked for gravy got curry asked for scrapings no scrapings even thou I got fish cooked chips were all hard and small scraps and sausage was rock hard normally the best around by far going rapidly down hill
