It was a wonderful end of term with colleagues. The drinks are fresh. We tried the wings they were spot on. We stayed in the garden. Loved . Very good.

Popped in with a friend who insisted on going. Horrible cheeseburger complete with a slice of processed cheese in a cheap bun, overly salty fries and a bottle of Budweiser for £15. Could’ve saved myself the effort (and money) by chewing on a seasoned piece of cardboard full of shrill schoolgirls and scallies. They also fined me £50 for parking infront of the pub. It is totally unacceptable and this pub should be demolished immediately.

I liked this one, very nice atmosphere and although 3 handpumps were wasted on mainstream beer, one was dedicated to an independent beer - in this case From Buntingford Brewery - and absolutely blinding it was too

It's not often I have to write such a bad review, but after travelling so far to this destination for my husband's birthday treat (a day at the Duxford Air Museum) this place simply failed to deliver. Charged in full on arrival should have raised alarm bells because it wasn't until the we had dinner we learned there would be no breakfast! Waiter apologetic and left to deal with ourselves and other unhappy guests. Owner had left for the evening. Absolutely unacceptable way of treating customers, especially as this seems to be a common occurrence. Crisps and juice left overnight in an ice-bucket does not equate the breakfast as advertised in the price. Disgraceful! Still no owner the next morning and despite paying for 2 nights we checked out. Besides the breakfast fiasco, I couldn't have spent another night in the rabbit-hutch accommodation. Units nicely appointed, clean, but far too small for two people sharing. Units also open straight out on to noisy car park full of gravel that gets stepped in. Over-priced and bland vegetarian menu didn't live up to the restaurant award - have eaten better in a back-street pub and table service hot and miss. Shambolic from start to finish. Be warned...

Our first visit to The King Bill, even though we've lived in the village for several years. One of the best Sunday roasts we've ever had out. We had the beef, chicken and lamb between us and all was delicious. The portions were generous and meat very tender, the roast potatoes first class! Landlady very friendly too. the food and service in the restaurant were excellent we had both evening meals and breakfast. The accommodation side just needed a little upgrading. We had a room which was obviously for a disabled person and was very good. Sadly wardrobe door came off runners so couldn't get to our clothes until my friend fixed it. shower curtain needed replacing and cleaners didn't come in on the second day had to ask manager for clean towels. Our friends room had been left in a bit of a mess but in credit to the manager who had only been there a short while he resolved it very quickly and very kindly offered a free bottle of wine . Lovely guy and I think with some of the things put right this could be the perfect place to stay

We stopped in the lodges at the side of the inn, we were inn the family room. Lovely decor and a very pleasant stay. We were meet by attentive waitress who sorted out our reservation for the evening meal. A quick drink in the beautiful garden, the weather was perfect. We then had a meal which was the only let down, we ordered the meal and it came five minutes later, microwaved warm, the salad was tired. The food was just OK. The breakfast the next morning was excellent and again was the person serving was good and pleasant. Overall a good stay

Friendly pub where the staff will always chat to you as will other drinkers. Old timbered building with real fires in the winter and a pretty beer garden for the summer. We've been many times for a drink or three. They keep a good beer my partner says. They offer meals on some evenings and recently we tried the food. Really lovely. Tasty home cooking style with good chips, just what you should have in a pub. All the mains are under £10 but as good as dinners we've paid 50% more for in other pubs. We'll be eating here again soon. Thanks King Bill.

Having moved away from the village and returned for a visit I was so pleased to visit the King Bill, the staff were very attentive and friendly and very welcoming of our children, nothing was to much trouble, I know my Father in law is a regular in the pub because the ales are well kept and 'never had a bad pint'.The pub has undergone a bit of a make over since my last visit and its very warm and welcoming with a roaring fire, the landlady Suzy was very kind and chatty and made us feel right at home. The Sunday roast was lovely, proper home cooked food and great value. Will visit again soon no questions.

After visiting this pub a few times now and telling my daughter each time how much I enjoy this place, she showed me tripadvisor. Im not much of a computer whizz, but im more than happy to leave a review for the king william.I have been to this pub for a few sunday dinners now with my wife and I have to say that the food is next to none. The meat was lovely, I had beef and my wife chose pork, the potatoes were just perfect and the gravy! Well, it certainly wasn't from a tin. Just delightful. It has been fairly busy when we have been but our food came out without much of a wait at all and we enjoyed one of their many akes that they had on offer. The beer was kept well and tasted just how it should. On one evening midweek, after visiting our daughter in Cottenham we decided to go in for a quick drink before heading home. The week previously my wife had hurt herself gardening and as a result had a sore back. The barmaid obvioulsy saw my wife trying to get comfortable and disappeared, coming back with a pillow from her own car that she said she used for her son when he fell asleep in the car. She helped my wife place the pillow behind her until she felt more comfortable. Needless to say we stayed for another drink. That one member of staff touched us by caring about her customers and we will definitely be back for the great service we have received. The chef, landlord and the caring staff member should be proud.

Lovely choice of well kept 5/6 house real ales, friendly welcome, relaxing atmosphere in a snug half-timbered (rather small) pub with some quiet corners to get esconced in.
