King Neptune Traditional Fish and Chips in Barnet

I had to wait for ages to be served (the guy was having a chat), only to be told "you will have to wait ten minutes" that works out to twenty one minutes, no apology, he then sold chips etc.... to other customers, then came the knock out blow, the fish was ready, and now he needed to fry more chips for my order, WHAT!!!! I walked never to return again

Ordered placed with just eat at 17.36 (Attached is order confirmation) Order still not arrived 1 hour & 1/2 later. Order was supposed to have been delivered 6.05pm-6.25pm Attached is screen shot of delivery times. Restaurant when called said waiting for biker, then changed to they had only just received order. Very poor service

Very expensive and very bland. They hide the scaps/oily old crusty chips under a few nice fresh warm chips! I had to throw 3rd in the bin!

Regular portion chips was so small, probably the smallest portion in UK, and yet the price was 3.50.

Very fresh and healthy fish and chips. Best we’ve eaten in a long time. We travelled 6miles to get our take away, that’s how nice it is! The premises is very clean with a dine in option. Staff were friendly and even double wrapped our order to keep it warm for our journey home.

My delivery driver left half of my order behind but the staff couldn’t be more helpful in getting the missing food to me. Cooking it fresh and delivering it themselves. Thank you for going the extra mile

King Neptune fish and chips is my family’s favourite fish place in this area. The staff and owner are polite, courteous and very pleasant. They serve halal sausages as well as non halal and each option is cooked in a different fryer. What more can one say. It’s a win win situation. Thank you and keep up the great work!

Can’t beat this wonderful chippie for price or consistently excellent quality fish. Better than all the more expensive chips shops and restaurants around. Nice friendly staff.

Our go to for F&C, much better value than the more expensive Canons on Mill Hill Broadway. Staff are always friendly and the portions good.

Good fish. But chips are always served not crispy. I always ask them to do the chips more frying for kind of perfect chips.

I went for takeaway, variety of fishs and they use ground nut oil to fry fish, chips are normally not done the way I like, ( crispy ). But you may ask for extra time for frying chips.

They owner only gives you fresh fish and chips if you are a regular. Otherwise you get the stale bits of fish and chips and usually given the wrong order. They also let regulars jump the que and staff are rude and this is the worst customer service I have ever come across. This is local to me but I would rather pay more and travel 20mins to skipjacks where you get what you pay for.

I live a hundred metres from a Fish & Chip Restaurant that has a queue out of the door all day, every day, I have tried it 5 times and each time I have been disappointed, so I gave up trying to find a decent F & C vendor in my area, then some years ago The Sun newspaper ran a promotion, collect a week's worth of tokens, take them to a participating Chippy and buy one, get one free, our nearest was King Neptune. I have been going ever since absolutely lovely, food, service and value.

The chips are so fresh and not cooked in old oil. Perfect combination of crispy and soft. I would go as far as saying they are the nicest "fish and chip shop" chips I've ever tasted. Tried my boyfriends rock eel and it was perfect too. Will continue to get my fish n chips from here now. 🐟 🍟👌🏻
