Really delicious food - especially the pork tonkotsu udon! Generous portion sizes and nice service from staff. It was very busy but we were luckily still able to get a table for 5.

A quick visit after work at the Cambridge branch and it was delicious! I had the tofu yaki udon with a bubble tea and some assorted tempura, I can’t wait to try something new next time!

My husband, my toddler, and I all love this place. It’s really chilled and casual and perfect for eating out alone or taking children. We had a Kamage Udon this time and it’s proper comfort food for me. Prices are reasonable too. Highly recommended. (Cambridge branch)

I really enjoy the katsu curry rice and udon here. The service is fast and the staff are kind.

I ordered a takeaway from here since it was quite busy during lunch hours and we couldn’t get a table. The Chicken Katsu noodles were quite good, and the portions were filling. The food wasn’t very warm, but that might have been due to the chilly weather that day.

Absolutely love this place! My partner and I come here for hearty, warm dinners very often :) really fair, reasonable prices per dish too; I highly recommend.

Beef udon is our ‘go to’. Never fails although this time seems slightly different.

Food quality decreased very recently, becease the restaurant just want to save the cost. Today's lunch we have been served with raw noodles.

I had my meal in the Cambridge shop, and the atmosphere is very Japanese, which is way better than the Japanese shop at the opposite. I had the Zaru Udon, and the chef cooked that immediately after I ordered, not pre-cooked as like someone else said in the reviews.

The tonkotsu udon was very delicious. Best dish in Cambridge! The katsu curry udon was nice. The prawn tempura was bland.

The meal was expertly prepared and absolutely delicious, leaving my stomach thoroughly satisfied. The flavors were rich and enticing, making each bite a delight. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a warm atmosphere that made me feel right at home. They were always ready to assist without being intrusive. I had such a great experience that I can’t wait to return for another meal. In fact, I'm planning to go back today to grab some takeout and indulge once more!

We loved Kineya when it first opened. It has become a very special place for us as a couple. Going is a tradition. But the last 3 or 4 times we’ve been the tempura is cold, the vegetables aren’t varied and it feels like they’re trying to do too much at the expense of quality. I’m so sad. Please respond and fix this so we can keep spending our money with you.

I had the Katsu curry at the Cambridge branch, it was the best I’ve ever had!

As a mix family British-Peruvian, we live food so much, and japanese food is one of our favourites but they also have some korean dishes that you might enjoy, we love the food and the service is just great, prices are actually amazing for Cambridge. Since we found this restaurant we always eat there everytime we visit Cambridge ( every 2 weeks). Just a suggestion, you need a bigger place since there were lots of people waiting for a table. This is the chicken katsu curry udon at Cambridge Kineya Mugimaru. Udon is flash made, good texture, but it's like Shanghai noodles. Not bad at this price point.

I didn’t have super high hopes for this restaurant but it was convenient and easy to eat at. The ordering kiosks were convenient and there were plenty of seats. The udon was mediocre and for some reason, quite thin than your average udon noodle. It’s not super Japanese style per se either.

We had beef curry udon, chicken curry udon . Balanced experience. Food was fine and so was everything else. However, there are little flies around our table.

I wanted to like it here, but it was a huge let-down. It's really nicely decorated inside and the ordering kiosks are very easy to use. Unfortunately, those are the only good things. The food is not made-to-order; it's literally pre-cooked and just sitting there on a warm counter for ages, and then given to customers when they place their order. As a result, you end up with food that tastes like leftover reheated food, with hardly any flavour. The prices are reasonable, but I really didn't enjoy the food at all. I gave the restaurant three opportunities, but was left unimpressed with the taste and quality each time. It's not for me.

Far Eastern flavors at economical prices. Ramen is great. You may have difficulty finding a place to sit.

visited kineya cambridge with my friends. arguably the best chicken curry katsu i’ve had so far over the course of 6 months i’m here. got some sushi rolls as sides at a very affordable price (and generous amount of soy sauce too!). highly recommend!

Went to the Cambridge branch and it was wonderful! Quick service, clean and calm interior and good quality food. The laksa udon was very good and came with a side of sambal! And really enjoyed the pumpkin tempura as well ☺️

Yummy food and bubble tea, but the tables are cramped together and it’s difficult to move. Also, the tables were a bit grubby. Good value and choice though, and my onigiri was delicious!

Served us a raw chicken twice and said that it was supposed to be pink. I don’t recommend this place.

I had lunch at Kineya Cambridge and tried the Beef Yaki Udon—honestly, it was really, really good! The noodles were perfectly chewy, the beef was tender and flavorful, and the sauce brought everything together beautifully. The portion size was just right, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant made for a great dining experience. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more from their menu!

Albeit it being very busy, this is one of the child friendly restaurants that you can visit in Cambridge. Good value for money when it comes to food.

Kineya’s tonkotsu udon has a rich, flavorful broth with perfectly chewy noodles. The tender chashu pork makes it even better.

Cambridge branch. Good kitsune udon.

Really poor and slow service. The place was half empty and there were 4 people working. It took 4 staff 25 minutes to serve 1 bao bun which is ridiculous. I was in Cambridge for a day trip and picked this place specifically for a quick lunch. The staff wasted a lot of my time which would have gone to sight seeing.

I just love it here. Quick and tasty food, and DELICIOUS crispy sides. What more could you want?

Very nice spacious and bright place with roomy seating. Self-service was quick and friendly. We ordered laksa prawn udon, gyodon, and rice chicken jajang. Was very disappointed st the food however :( Awful marinated egg, way too overcooked and the marination is not even across the egg. Doesn’t look like they’ve made it fresh, I’ve made way better eggs at home. Jajang sauce tasted too salty and grainy like it came out of a package. Gyudon meat was dry and does not have the tender juiciness that we expect of the dish. Laksa was most okay and comforting but the taste could be more flavorful and stronger.

Great taste! Many delicious choices for all, today I tried the Chicken Katsu Curry Udon, and the mini Pork Chashu Don.

I usually couldn't eat because there were so many people. I had a table during lunch time on Monday so I ate quickly. I liked the chicken katsu curry rice bowl because there was a lot of rice, and it tasted just like I imagined. I couldn't finish the meal. lol

The food is clean and the menu is diverse. In particular, the manager is very friendly. I ate well^^
