Kin Dee Restaurant in Hillingdon

Meal for 2. 7pm Saturday night but the place was quite empty. Hot Starters served with cold plates. Main vege massaman curry had raw sweet potato(normally properly cooked). Tofu had a strange taste and smell. Rice portion small. When mentioned to waiter - he couldn't have cared less. Also staff kept using our table to place the table next to our's food when serving and clearing. How utterly rude!! Had to chase to pay bill which came to 51.80 including service- waiter automatically just split at 26.00 each. You've added service - it's a round number to split between two.. again very rude. Having been several times before: Atmosphere was dead. Serving staff chewing gum. Didn't feel thai at all. Super super disappointed. Do not recommend.

Had a quick red chicken curry with egg fried rice and it was delicious! Can't wait to go back here already.

Ordered a takeaway which cost £50 for two people- the food is so bland and unimpressive. Honestly don’t bother there are much nicer Thai restaurants around. Very very disappointing

Our second time visiting this place! Wonderfully delicious food and fantastic service by the staff! Very friendly and polite. We didn't get the name of the lady who served us and kindly ran after us down the street after my friend forgot her bag at the restaurant, but we genuinely appreciated it!! Can't recommend the penang and massaman curries enough! Yummy!

I had a great experience going for dinner with my partner. The food was excellent, and very reasonably priced. Not much decor inside so the atmosphere is a bit lacking, with pictures on the wall but not much else. I would definitely return or look to order takeaway in future for the quality of the food.

Toilets disgusting. Weeping Tiger meal delicious, rice cooked well but the Pad Thai was rubbery and all stuck together inedible. We did complain but no refund offered.

Laughable portion sizes if you order takeaway - all sauce and no meat. Isn't it better to create a good eating experience so people come back, rather than making a quick win. Maybe they do better when you eat in, but I won't be finding out

Very basic. The taste is good but not wow. Is better than other cheap tai restaurants. The staff is friendly and the service is good. The design is basic.

Don’t waste your time here. Flavourless food so I asked for chilli, salt and lime…which I was then charged £1.50…for a single wedge of lime, salt and chilly flakes. Never in my life have I been charged for these things. When I was questioned at the end I was told “well that’s what we do here”. I would have appreciated a heads up.

My cousin and I had a nice dinner together. The food was amazing, service and value for money. Enough parking on the outside. First time we went and won't be the last. Thank you so much to everyone there.

An excellent dining experience! 5/5 Authentic Thai food and incredible service. I have eaten in and ordered take aways from this restaurant many times. Each experience has been delicious; everyone feels happily full after dinner here. It's not oily and fatty like most Thai restaurants here. It's perfect! The service team are very friendly and the kitchen team are always making delicious food!

Yummy food in an authentic-feeling Thai restaurant. Friendly staff and moderately priced. I met some old friends for dinner and this was exactly the right venue for it.

I’ve ordered many takeaways and this is by far the worst. The egg fried rice was bland, full of veg & mushy. The tamarind duck was over cooked & so salty it wasn’t edible. Truly disappointed, I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend this place.

I been eating here for years and now again i try other Thai places but most of the time I think I should have just come back to Kindee. I normally have the Tom Yum Soup and cashew nut chicken. Both dishes are moreish and quality of chicken or the way they cook it makes the food taste wholesome and clean. Its a local small business with well deserving owners

So, after 4 years I have decided to change my mind regarding this restaurant. It used to be my favourite Thai restaurant in the area but the food quality has deteriorated massively. I asked for some fresh chillies because the dish I ordered was missing it even though the menu stated it was spicy. I was shocked to discover they charged me 50p for the chilli as a "Sauce"! Staff didn't even take it off the bill when I objected. This is the first time in my life I was charged for a chilli and doubt I'll be returning again.

Disappointing- the pad thai was flavourless, the tom yum prawn soup had 3 small prawns and the panang curry was okay (not great though) except the chicken was overcooked.

Great authentic Thai food. As an Australian living in London I greatly missed easy access to Thai restaurants like there are in Sydney. Kin Dee is as good as I’d expect in Sydney.

Myself and my partner have been visiting Kin Dee for the best part of 6 years now. The service and portion sizes have definitely decreased, but the food is still somewhat tasty. Back in the day we were greeted as friends and the waiters knew our order without us saying anything! Now the service is definitely not as good, and the food not as authentic. Waiters are ruder and they charge for tiny things like chilli oil and lemon in water which they never did before. Shame to see this restaurant go downhill.

We dined at this restaurant a few times before and we were very impressed. However, recently we were celebrating our 45th anniversary and a party of four decided to book a table for dinner. We ordered our drinks as usual and with it we asked for one glass of tap water with thinly sliced piece of lemon. We were shocked and surprised when the waitress told us that the small glass of water with lemon will cost us 50p. We asked her if she was sure about the charge, and she said restaurant policy. We received our drinks and unfortunately, the waitress accidentally dropped half of the drink on my guest’s coat and on the table. She apologised and replaced the drink. The food was good as usual hence that is why we have been their customers for so long. Unfortunately, this has put us off this restaurant now and we had to pay for the dry cleaning of the coat

Has become one of the best Thai places in this part of London. Ask for spicy Thai style and the heat turns up and very authentic tasting. Great service also.

This place has solidly delicious food. I come back for it, I crave it, when I come back I actually am always pleasantly reminded of how good it is. The service and decor are pretty standard, and I see a few people comment on it. But if you want just plain good Thai cooking… I recommend it. Yum yum yum.

Don't have take away from this restaurant, please. It arrived later than expected, cold and the portions were tiny for the price paid, very expensive considering the amount of food. I don't think they would dare to serve that on a plate. The containers were not full and the price was the same as eating in plus delivery. Avoid take away!!!! They should be ashamed of the service!!!!!!!

Disappointed;was asked for fish sauce and soy sauce for my noodle dish;was asked to pay £1 for each small saucer(have had before and never asked for payment;;from this establishment;under new ownership ?) anyway meal and service were good just the penny pinching;akin to paying for salt n pepper in a cafe;;been to Thailand few times and these condiments are usually on the table

Picked up a takeaway earlier this evening. This was the first time I have tried this establishment. Excellent food, with good sized portions. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Will visit again. Recommended.

Delicious Thai food! We had tom yum soup, spicy papaya salad which was very refreshing, green curry which was perfectly cooked and pad Thai. All of them very mindblowing. Keep up the good work Chef !

Had takeaway numerous times from here and eaten in once or twice. Food is consistently v good but special shout out to the vege spring rolls which are the best I’ve had!

I cannot fault the food, it's excellent however, I would recommend training the young waitress that is openly chewing gum, whilst taking and serving orders. It looks awful and is off-putting. If you can't serve guests properly, you have no right to add a 10% discretionary service charge to a bill.

Had the (vegan) jungle curry which was very good! I imagine some might find it a bit hot, but that’s what I like! My companion’s fish dish also looked very nice.

Might not be the most appealing place from the outside but the food is amazing. There were 3 in our party we all had different dishes and each dish was fab. Staff very friendly and welcoming.

I love Thai food as I see it as an healthier version of Chinese, but this place did not quite meet the standards I have experienced elsewhere. It’s a shame as it was tasty but the noodle dishes we had were just too oily. The Penang curry too watery and lacking in contents. The dim sum was tasty but you only get three! Other places provide five!

We've usually dined here a couple of times in the last months and the food was really good. However, did a take away of two pad thai's today and we are totally disappointed - both tasted like they had ketchup in them. Not sure if they've changed the cooks but the food was really unpleasing today.

Efficient staff and quieter environment. Soup was nice and refreshing. The sweetness could be a bit less in the noodles but the taste was excellent and fresh veggies used. Must visit.

Pros: Good value lunch menu with curry and rice for £8 plus soft drink. Green curry had nice spice to it Spring rolls were crispy and flavoursome Cons: Green curry was also too sweet. Too much palm sugar added possibly Calamari was overcooked to the point of being dry inside and felt like eating cardboard towards the end Rice given was basmati rather than long grain Overall verdict: good for English folks wanting Thai food but not one to recommend for those who've been to Thailand and experienced the real flavour.

Tasty Thai food. Good lunch deals too.

We haven't eaten in; only ordered food for delivery. However out of four different orders, all have been superb. This was recommended to us by someone on social media and we were extremely grateful for the suggestion. Between my wife and I we've now tried eight different dishes and have been unable to pick a favourite - they've all been great!

Parking isn't too bad as there is a local car park and free on‐street after 18:30 mon-sat. Their Covid protocols were up to par with partitions, regulated entry and hand sanitiser. The food was ok, the Moo Yang was epic but surprisingly the Pad Thai wasn't very good. Staff were friendly, prices were reasonable, I would definitely go back and try a few more of their offerings.

After a long time i wanted to try Thai cuisine and my Mrs just back from Bangkok so we went there and ordered dishes but no drinks as we both suffering from cold so we just wanna have a hot water. Food wasn’t bad but portions wasn’t enough as we paid for. Actually they charged us for two glasses of hot water 😂 hats off 50p. top up service charges and I wudnt recommend this place and never ever go there. Both English girls were busy giving good services but other wasn’t that friendly... if u wanna go there make sure take your own water with U lol.
