Went for a coffee around mid day . I thought the service was very poor . The two serving were more concerned with chatting to each other . Only one person in front of me but finally gave up and left . Second time this has happened . At least turn and connect with the customers who are waiting .

Wow!!! What a gem of a place. The food was great, the atmosphere was amazing. And a shout out to the alchemist behind the bar, her cocktail making skills were off the chart!! The coconut margarita has now got me hooked! Will defo be calling back.

Phone to get some food at Kim's kitchen I wanted to place the order and it seems like they didn't care I'm sorry to say this but I didn't feel very friendly towards people you're willing to pay money I suffer with disability problems and I can't get out like I used to my support worker got me to contact you so I did so I can get some warm to eat because I can't cook like I used to

Curry goat was really tasty, and VERY good portion size. Definitely enjoyed and would have the same again, although not exactly cheap at £17. My friend had the salt & pepper fries with chicken, said it was really tasty but could have done with a little more chicken. Unfortunately the bar was out of both Shindigger ales on draught and the Kim's own lager wasn't brilliant, but the Erdinger was good. Would definitely return for food, and hope the Shindiggeer is back available on top next time.

Great community based café bar with a nice covered terrace. Quick friendly service too. They have an amazing menu of food at great prices and some lovely Dortmunder lager on tap. The staff are really friendly and helpful too.

Great food and atmosphere, had the Chicken & chorizo pie from the specials menu, came fully loaded. The kids menus is top, went for Bangers and mash. Hats off to the Chef!

First of all, all the nice breakfast options like eggs Benedict and avocado eggs have disappeared. However, that's not the biggest problem. The biggest problem is that we were a big table, all ordered at the same time and some of us were waiting for 50minutes. Even that is not the biggest problem, I understand that things can get busy. But they brought out a breakfast to a couple who ORDERED AFTER US. Possibly evening food is better, but I wouldn't go there for brunch.

Food was amazing however their online menu is really out of date. When I tries to order the lamb burger I was told it was 'really old' and no longer available however is still on their online menu. Other than that and the queue to order was great. Great value and the goat curry was amazing!

Food was excellent, drinks were excellent and vibes were excellent. I had the curry goat - it was lovely. Cleo’s service was amazing and she was super lovely. The drinks were yummy and reasonably priced too. Will be coming again!

I work nearby and visit quite regularly. Good range of drinks. Diverse menu. All food is homemade made with great vegetarian and vegan options. Owner and staff are friendly and helpful.

Great place for drinks and curried goat is amazing.

Really long wait for food at lunchtime. The food was overpriced and when it arrived it was average at best. The place was busy with kids running around everywhere. We encountered pure rudeness from members of staff. Suffice to say I would not recommend this place and will not be returning.

Kim's is by far one of my most favourite places to go. Good beer, amazing food, great music and lovely staff (shout out to Cleo especially, always so friendly). Had a few meals at Kim's and they've all been unreal - food may seem slightly on the pricier side but the portions are huge, very flavoursome and feels like proper home cooking. The beer garden is a little sun trap aswell so it's perfect :) got a really good community atmosphere - highly recommend.

I really wanted to like this place - we had such high hopes coming in, we loved the vibe. Ordered an omelette and a full English - after 45 minutes, we went inside to check where our food was, and we were given a free tea and coffee to say sorry. Then after waiting an hour and a half, we went inside to ask for a refund. We were told our order was the next one, and were given a 50% refund. So we decided to stick it out. After another 15-20 minutes and multiple dishes coming out that weren’t ours (so we obviously weren’t next - why lie?) we went back inside and asked for a full refund and left. At no point did anyone ever come over to us to say sorry or to explain what was going on, it was always us having to go inside and ask. I’ve never ever had to do this at a cafe/restaurant before. I couldn’t believe how shambolic it was, I shouldn’t have to wait nearly two hours for an omelette. It completely threw our whole day out of whack. I’m sure they were just having an off day but unfortunately we won’t be coming back.

Lovely vibes in this place, staff are friendly, cool venue with good tunes on. The food did used to be better a couple years ago but regardless it's one of the best places in the area. Bunch of veggie options, outdoor seating, dog-friendly. Only missing out on stars because the food used to be so much better. At one time it used to be worth a visit just to get the chips, proper triple-fried grandma chips... and now they're like anaemic slices of apple.

I just had the penfriend mackerel and it was absolutely delicious. Huge fish, that went great with the chilli salsa and crushed potatoes. I didn't take a picture but really wish I had. Highly recommended.

Had the lamb shank special... A whole leg of lamb with enough broccoli and seasonal veg to match... Absolutely delicious! Regardless of the 4 tequillas for a tenna! 😎🤠

Not been to Kim’s for ages and just stopped by for quick bit of dinner, the Jalapeño Mac & cheese is still amazing and tried one of the specials of sea as with garlic potatoes, absolute knock out! Lovely little hidden gem with warm homely vibe, if you haven't been here yet I’d defiantly recommend!

Love this place. The food is outstanding I always have the fish curry which is to die for. The atmosphere is really homely and always feel really comfortable.

I know passion when I see it and I definitely see it with the two coolest guys I know who own the place. A massive turnaround from the previous management and well worth a visit. Well done you 😊

Wonderful food great service and pricing that shames the city centre! I had a wonderful sausage and mash with an onion gravy and a pint of really strong cider. Total cost £14! In town the same meal would’ve over £20 and maybe not as delicious.

I love coming to this place on a regular. The slow cooked goat curry is always my fave but I do love me some chicken goujons and a slice of home made cake for afters. It’s a staple in the community and the people that work there/run it are some of the loveliest I know ❤️🥳🔥👑

Kims is like eating at your mums gaff as it feels like home and the food is incredible and comforting! The staff are really friendly, the art work delves into Hulme’s history, and its great for private functions at the upstairs bit.

Kim’s is a Manchester institution!! So many good things to highlight about this place!! Wether the incredibly friendly and attentive staff or the beautiful settings you can tell it’s a hub for the community and lets get to the food!! So many amazing dishes from around the globe the “salt n pepper” chips are “out of this world” amongst too many other mouthwatering offerings!! Accompanied by a perfect “not overpowering” musical soundtrack it’s a perfect venues for solo or family meals ❤️❤️❤️

The best food, drinks and service in Manchester. The curry goat is absolutely banging and so are Yemi’s special cocktails. Kims Kitchen feels like more than a restaurant, it’s a community and will welcome you in with open arms. All the food and drinks are clearly made with the utmost care and attention to detail and the staff always have a smile and a laugh for you.

An hour wait for an English breakfast and fish curry. People are great and friendly, but the waiting time and food being alright, really killed it for me. Will definitely not be returning

Great place for a meal. Huge portions, reasonable prices, very good quality, and a wide menu selection. It's got a community café feel to it, and is relaxed and casual. You can sit inside or outside, and they serve alcohol too.

Great place with nice outdoor seat. I had fish curry, and my partner had mashed potato with sausage and peas. Fish curry came with rice, pita, and mint yogurt in the side (I added prawn, prawn wasn't originally in the fish curry). Fish was boneless, and the whole dish was pretty flavorful, the portion was decent. I got really fed up after this! Loved the outdoor seat, suitable for sunny day if you just wanna grab a quick bite or grab a drink and chill there. Staff were very friendly and nice. Will definitely visit again some other time!

Awesome Currys! I tried the Fish Curry (adding prawns is a must) and the Chicken Curry, both were great (the chicken a bit spicy tho). I've heard the vegan burgers are great but haven't tried them yet. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is really friendly. They have 4 draft beer choices in case you were wondering. Highly recommend!

Haven’t been here for a few years. Always liked it in the past. The food is so good, really yummy and good quality, and lots of veggie options. Only dropping a star as just after we ordered they got really busy, but our food still took an hour to arrive, then they got my son’s order wrong, didn’t apologise and said the kitchen was too busy for them to mention it. So that was a shame. Thankfully he liked what they brought and ate it without complaint.

The whole vibe here is on point, proper family and community spot with good music and great food. can't recommend it highly enough, well worth a trip to Hulme.

I really really loved Kim’s kitchen, the food was so nice and flavoursome and a very generous portion as well. I had the fish curry which I 100 percent recommend. Food was so good I left with 2 takeaways to bring back to Essex

Happened to visit on a Sunday afternoon and tried to order food at 4.30, was advised that the kitchen staff were having a break and to come back at 5. Tried to order again at 4.55 and staff very reluctantly accepted our food order. Our food arrived at 5.45, when our youngest was hungry and tearful. Seems to be a case of who you know rather than what you know as other diners were served well before us - maybe they didn’t like our accents. Having said all this the food was very good when it eventually arrived. Poor service has left a bad taste though.

Called in as we were in the area and so glad we did, great little community run restaurant specialising in Caribbean food. I had the Curried Goat which came with rice n peas, sweet potato wedges and plantains, my wife had the the fish curry and both were fantastic with great flavours and at a really good price. Won’t be the last time we call in

Food was great, Baz loved the decor - I wasn’t as keen, but the place is nice and family owned, they’re friendly and chatty and always polite. More of a local cafe/restaurant place than a fancy date place, but it has its charms. Quite big portions and quick service.

Can't really describe this place, is it street food, is it a restaurant? Not sure, but the food is good and reasonably priced. The staff are helpful and friendly and it is a nice little venue to stop and have a decent meal.

Friendly relaxed vibe. Good espresso and nice beer. If you're an old raver or one of the cool kids get in there. Been serving Hulme for all time.

Great to be back at Kim's. The refurbished bar is more open with more natural light so it feels more like the bar it is rather than an edgy venue. The drinks were reasonably priced, my friends said the food was good and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Impressive photos of Hulme in its former guise too. Do yourself a favour and get to Kim's.

Noel's fantastic Jamaican goat curry and goats cheese salad made our day. A nice selection of ales on tap. Yummy! Great atmosphere, plenty of socially distanced seating inside and out, great community ethos.
