Kim Pho in Teignbridge

All I can say is WOW!!!! Best Chinese food I’ve ever tasted! 10/10. Had a meal in there a few weeks back and not stopped ordering their takeaway since. Best Chinese in Newton hands down!

Frequent visitor to this lovely restaurant. Every meal we have eaten has always been delicious and plentiful. Service excellent. Friendly staff.

Nathan was absolutely amazing!! so polite and helpful just an absolutely lovely restaurant would really recommend, i always get it to takeaway but will definitely make an effort to eat in here :)) so many delicious authentic dishes to try i’d really recommend the summer rolls theyre gorgeously refreshing and the dip they come with was delicious!!

As first time visitors, residing in the town centre, I cannot believe it has taken us so long to visit this restaurant. We have come away feeling completely satisfied with every part of the evenings experience. The food is so tasty and fresh. The service was brilliant, such friendly staff. We ordered a lot of different dishes to try, but the starter mix h'ordeurves and duck pancakes were incredibly delicious. But the main dish to stand out was the chicken satay skewers. Just wow. They were absolutely gorgeous. Very reasonably priced for the menu items and the atmosphere was lovely. It wasn't too busy for a Friday night, just enough to still be able to hear the beautiful music playing. Thank you very much, we will be back again many times in the future.

Although it has a Vietnamese sounding name, this is a bog-standard chinese restaurant. Chinese decor, Chinese food with a single page at the back of the menu with a handful of pho choices. We had spring rolls and salt & pepper squid for starters. Vegetarian chow mein, chicken curry and egg fried rice for mains. The started were very greasy and not as crispy as they should have been. I would suggest the oil wasn't hot enough when they were cooked. The chow mein was completely tasteless. My husband said the same of the curry, I could see that the curry sauce was very watery. We were in the restaurant for less than 30 minutes from sitting, ordering, eating and paying. We left probably 60% of what we'd ordered and the waitress didn't ask if everything was OK with the meal - even though we declined her offer to pack it to take away. Very disappointing.

Excellent food, quality ingredients and speedy delivery too! Beef Bo Luc really tasty, Tofu noodles excellent, everything was hot and expertly prepared. My new fav place, thank you ⭐️

Fantastic food, we had some of the set menus and it was delicious, the salt & pepper squid & Mongolian lamb were particularly good. There’s a huge choice on the menu with something for everyone. Highly recommend

We took a detour as we both fancied some pho, a good decision! Service was great, friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. Freshly made soup and starters that we were allowed to customise. Broth was very deep and flavoursome and when coupled with chilli oil, certainly did the trick. Clean bowl says it all!

Food was extremely greasy. Could not eat most of it. Overpriced given the quality of the food.

Ordered a takeaway, a bit over priced seeing as we had a takeaway. Tasted like shop bought, absolutely no flavour in anything we bought. Although the staff were extremely friendly and chatty didn't justify the price.

Packaging was amazing, leak proof and broth was separated so it was perfect. FOOD WAS DELICIOUS AND SO MUCH FLAVOUR!!! Definitely try it

Hidden gem in Newton Abbot. Amazing food. Loved the veg spring rolls, noodles with tofu and tofu curry. I especially loved the salt and pepper tofu and chips. Plenty of vegetarian options. Great flavours. Vietnamese iced coffee was delicious too. Will be back.

Food was absolutely lovely, really tasty and full of flavour. Personally for me it could have been a bit hotter (temperature) but I’ll definitely order again.

Lovely welcome and fantastic food. The lamb aromatic pancakes and the summer rolls stole the show for us. All delicious. Excited to try the Pho next time. We well over ordered as got so exited by the menu which meant we could enjoy it at home the next day :)

So so good. Ordered here for the first time and I'm so impressed. I ordered the chicken Pho and chicken satay skewers and it's so yummy. As someone that can't eat spicy food due to digestive issues, I appreciate the chillies being cut up and removable from the bowl before adding the broth that also was not spicy at all. So happy On the 6th September I went back here to try some other food and had the Pho Xao Chicken 干鸡河, did not disappoint so good.

Have eaten in and takeaway from here. Amazing tasting food, staff are always helpful and friendly. 10/10 every time. So nice to have different food cultures in town.

Beautiful food. My go to for Chinese/ Thai style food. The bbq spare ribs are lovely and I love the egg friend rice because it’s not oily. Will always order from here given the option.

What a wonderful evening spent here with friends. Food was superb as was the service and the owner, so welcoming. It was very busy so pre-booking is advised.

Order was delivered on a bicycle, and unfortunately the bag of chips and chicken balls were soggy :( We ended up not eating the chips so it was a waste. Otherwise the beansprout chicken noodles was absolutely fantastic.

Oh boy so woth a visit, the food was tasty and presented well, The selection on the menu was great and we were able to adjust to suit our taste. the place was clean and tidy. what you need is good and attentive, to say they were good is an understatement, helpful knowledgable A+. We visited here to celebrate my daughter's birthday as we had both said that we really hadn't had a decent Chinese meal for ages . The staff were all friendly and very welcoming and the food was plentiful, well priced and delicious . Two of us had one of the set Chinese meals and my wife and I went for a try of Vietnamese food . What a treat very fragrant, very tasty, the chicken com chien rice was fantastic, the Ga Xao Sa ot the star of the table and the Vietnamese noodles were lovely . You don't have to ask if we all agreed that we will be back

I’ve ordered from here numerous times and it’s always been great, but the pho was awful in this occasion. It barely tasted of anything at all, the usual Vietnamese flavours were utterly absent and the prawns were rock solid. A real disappointment.

Multiple trips have yielded excellent dining in service, had the takeaway this evening and as always excellent, and in record time. Compliments to the chef!

Picked up a takeaway of different dishes. Very quick and mostly good food. But the spicy chilli beef was very poor, hardly any beef; mostly flour and oil. Avoid that one but other than that lovely.

All of the staff are super friendly. The restaurant is level access for wheelchair users and plenty of space to move around inside.

Really lovely place with a great design and friendly staff. One of the party was vegan sk they made us the vegan mixed starter platter which was amazing, possibly the best tofu dish I've had and mushrooms in a barbecue sauce were the standouts but it was all great. For main I shared a chicken curry dish, the seafood sizzler and their version go special fried rice, all generously packed with the protein and tasty, have to give mention to the lovely coconut curry sauce. Left with three takeout pots and without being able to see the dessert menu, but next time! Very much recommended.

The food in this place in incredible! Special shout out for the crispy Mongolian lamb which has such a depth of flavour and incredible texture, I would eat it most days if I lived closer. The staff always friendly and accommodating. If you're thinking of trying this restaurant then go for it. You will not be disappointed.

Great vegan and meat Pho and spring rolls! Spring rolls were stuffed and pho soup was very filling. I would only change a type of noodles in the soup. Overall a great spot for takeout!

Visiting my partners family who are from here and this exceeded all my expectations. Both of us lived in Vietnam for several years and she enjoyed her phone but the Bun Bo Hue in particular was authentic - very similar to what I used to get on the streets of Saigon! Decently priced, a big portion which filled us both up and the manager who served us was hilarious and welcoming, even though they were close to shutting for end of lunch service. Will recommend to her family as well as anyone reading this!

Great selection of Vietnamese food, the food is all super fresh and the flavours are incredible! I always go back for the summer rolls and any of the Pho dishes.

The vegetarian pho was basically clear water with raw vegetables, no flavour or seasoning at all. We didn't get checked on even once to see if food was ok. I don't tend to write bad reviews, but as I'm a big fan of Vietnamese cuisine, don't order the veggie pho.

This place is awesome! Super authentic Vietnamese food….it felt like such a treat. I haven’t really found any authentic Vietnamese restaurants in the south west, so I was really excited to discover this place. We had pho bo hue and it was a very flavourful and delicious enormous bowl of spicy soup. Also had the chicken vermicelli bowl which was tasty, and we added some super fat spring rolls to start. All the flavours hit just right…if you’ve ever had proper Vietnamese food you will know what I mean! The restaurant was also nice inside, it seems like most customers were loyal regulars, and as a bonus the servers (or maybe owners?) were lovely. Wish I lived closer so I could go every day.

I only really leave reviews if something is really amazing or really terrible. This place is absolutely fantastic. I had my first ever Vietnamese take out last week from Kim Pho after a friend reccomend it and me and my family are hooked on it. Got another tonight and it was even better than the first. Other than the incredible food, the service from the staff and general warmth of the place you walk in is really good. We'll be back again and again

In Newton abbot looking for a decent place to have our dinner and came across Kim pho restaurant. We had the set menu meal for two good hot and tasty meal we will visit the next time we are in the area. Very good staff excellent service.

We came here for a date night a few weeks ago. The Manageress was brilliant! Kind, friendly and funny as well as happy to explain any dishes. The environment was so lovely and relaxing and the food was delicious. Looking forward to coming back soon!

We ended up at this restaurant on Saturday night, we hadn't booked but was accommodated straight away, the food was great, the service was good and we had a great time. I would recommend this restaurant, to everyone ! :-)

Came here with my husband on a weekday lunch time. We both ordered noodle soups which were delicious- flavourful broth with fresh vegetables and fragrant herbs, just what you want from pho. The lady who served us was really friendly and quick without feeling like she was rushing us out. Overall a great experience and we will definitely come back!

My partner and I wanted to give Kim Pho a try for valentine's day and tried calling in the day but nobody answered the phone. So we head down there at there opening time of 5pm to see if we could grab an early table. We ended up standing at the host station for nearly 10 minutes and were not seen or greeted by anyone! First impressions are everything and this was not a good one. We walked out in hope to spend our valentine's day meal together with a restaurant that was more deserving. After spending 15 years in hospitality management the one thing you learn. Is never leave the host station unmanned! You may as well have stayed closed!

Had one of the set meals. My partner and I were 2 bites in when we decided we we’re definitely coming back. The food is delicious, the staff are friendly. Really nice place. We’ll definitely be back.
