Great service and fabulous food

Multiple trips have yielded excellent dining in service, had the takeaway this evening and as always excellent, and in record time. Compliments to the chef!

Picked up a takeaway of different dishes. Very quick and mostly good food. But the spicy chilli beef was very poor, hardly any beef; mostly flour and oil. Avoid that one but other than that lovely.

All of the staff are super friendly. The restaurant is level access for wheelchair users and plenty of space to move around inside.

Really lovely place with a great design and friendly staff. One of the party was vegan sk they made us the vegan mixed starter platter which was amazing, possibly the best tofu dish I've had and mushrooms in a barbecue sauce were the standouts but it was all great. For main I shared a chicken curry dish, the seafood sizzler and their version go special fried rice, all generously packed with the protein and tasty, have to give mention to the lovely coconut curry sauce. Left with three takeout pots and without being able to see the dessert menu, but next time! Very much recommended.

The food in this place in incredible! Special shout out for the crispy Mongolian lamb which has such a depth of flavour and incredible texture, I would eat it most days if I lived closer. The staff always friendly and accommodating. If you're thinking of trying this restaurant then go for it. You will not be disappointed.

Great vegan and meat Pho and spring rolls! Spring rolls were stuffed and pho soup was very filling. I would only change a type of noodles in the soup. Overall a great spot for takeout!

Visiting my partners family who are from here and this exceeded all my expectations. Both of us lived in Vietnam for several years and she enjoyed her phone but the Bun Bo Hue in particular was authentic - very similar to what I used to get on the streets of Saigon! Decently priced, a big portion which filled us both up and the manager who served us was hilarious and welcoming, even though they were close to shutting for end of lunch service. Will recommend to her family as well as anyone reading this!

Great selection of Vietnamese food, the food is all super fresh and the flavours are incredible! I always go back for the summer rolls and any of the Pho dishes.

The vegetarian pho was basically clear water with raw vegetables, no flavour or seasoning at all. We didn't get checked on even once to see if food was ok. I don't tend to write bad reviews, but as I'm a big fan of Vietnamese cuisine, don't order the veggie pho.

This place is awesome! Super authentic Vietnamese food….it felt like such a treat. I haven’t really found any authentic Vietnamese restaurants in the south west, so I was really excited to discover this place. We had pho bo hue and it was a very flavourful and delicious enormous bowl of spicy soup. Also had the chicken vermicelli bowl which was tasty, and we added some super fat spring rolls to start. All the flavours hit just right…if you’ve ever had proper Vietnamese food you will know what I mean! The restaurant was also nice inside, it seems like most customers were loyal regulars, and as a bonus the servers (or maybe owners?) were lovely. Wish I lived closer so I could go every day.

Very disappointed with my food. The Pho was tasteless. Not authentic.

We went to Kin Pho tonight for dinner the meal and the staff were fantastic

I only really leave reviews if something is really amazing or really terrible. This place is absolutely fantastic. I had my first ever Vietnamese take out last week from Kim Pho after a friend reccomend it and me and my family are hooked on it. Got another tonight and it was even better than the first. Other than the incredible food, the service from the staff and general warmth of the place you walk in is really good. We'll be back again and again

In Newton abbot looking for a decent place to have our dinner and came across Kim pho restaurant. We had the set menu meal for two good hot and tasty meal we will visit the next time we are in the area. Very good staff excellent service.

We came here for a date night a few weeks ago. The Manageress was brilliant! Kind, friendly and funny as well as happy to explain any dishes. The environment was so lovely and relaxing and the food was delicious. Looking forward to coming back soon!

We ended up at this restaurant on Saturday night, we hadn't booked but was accommodated straight away, the food was great, the service was good and we had a great time. I would recommend this restaurant, to everyone ! :-)

Came here with my husband on a weekday lunch time. We both ordered noodle soups which were delicious- flavourful broth with fresh vegetables and fragrant herbs, just what you want from pho. The lady who served us was really friendly and quick without feeling like she was rushing us out. Overall a great experience and we will definitely come back!

Very lovely owner, always feel very welcome ! Food is fantastic, we had a lovely evening with friends and decided to go back again and again. We never leave hungry!

My partner and I wanted to give Kim Pho a try for valentine's day and tried calling in the day but nobody answered the phone. So we head down there at there opening time of 5pm to see if we could grab an early table. We ended up standing at the host station for nearly 10 minutes and were not seen or greeted by anyone! First impressions are everything and this was not a good one. We walked out in hope to spend our valentine's day meal together with a restaurant that was more deserving. After spending 15 years in hospitality management the one thing you learn. Is never leave the host station unmanned! You may as well have stayed closed!

Had one of the set meals. My partner and I were 2 bites in when we decided we we’re definitely coming back. The food is delicious, the staff are friendly. Really nice place. We’ll definitely be back.

Being accompanied by a fussy eater, a vegetarian and a small child made choosing a venue for lunch tricky! Finding Kim Pho was like a miracle! A menu that catered for everyone plus friendly & attentive service. In the end the “fussy eater” & “vegetarian” swapped & shared their chosen dishes, the 4yr-old had her chips plus a taste of everyone else’s chosen dish and all of us left full and happy. Will happily come again to try other dishes on the menu!

17 of us went to Kim Pho for our works Christmas party. (Being in the hospitality trade for obvious reasons we couldn’t go at Christmas). We had a fabulous evening. Food was exceptional from an arranged set menu. Vegetarian and gluten free meals catered for. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

I’ve eaten in many restaurants everywhere and I can honestly say this is the best Asian food I’ve ever eaten, no chemicals proper home cooked style food, the pork melted in my mouth and the noodles where so good you could have eaten them on their own, I highly recommend a trip here, we traveled an hour and it’s so good we would have traveled for two

The waitress wrote down my order wrong and I got given some summer rolls for my main. I started eating them, as I was told my beef noodles were on their way. Turns out they weren't. I finally got my correct main. When asked to remove the summer rolls from my bill, the restaurant owner argued with me in front of the whole restaurant. Incredibly rude and tasteless, overpriced food. Please train your staff better and learn some customer service skills!

Really good food. And lots of it. We had a leisurely 2 hour dinner. Good service too. We were not rushed. Had set menus and there was a good variety, and good value for money.

I had high hopes as had been inside for a meal before and loved it. However the takeaway was not the best. Summer rolls had a strange jelly like wrapper, and enormous. Not the delicate tasty and authentic starter we were hoping for. Avery expensive bit of lettuce and chicken. Curry was a bit blah. Bun noodles were a bit greasy. Don't think we'll be coming back for takeaway again unfortunately.

This was our first visit today . We have heard so many good reviews that we popped in for some lunch as we were passing by. My husband had the sweet and sour chicken and I had the vietnamese chicken curry. Its the best curry I have ever tasted, (and I've eaten alot of curries!). The staff were attentive. We will definitely go back again.

I have only just found this place. Absolutely delicious food!!! I only moved to Kingsteignton recently and have tried many other takeaways, all of which have disappointed me. This restaurant is in another league. So happy I found it and I will definitely be ordering again and recommending to my family and friends.

Had a table booked for 4. Asked for couple changes which wasn't hard. The young waitress done her best but the owner was very rude. Undermined her, which was disgusting. Have been here twice before where the owner was lovely and very friendly. We all have our off days but she was just rude. Won't be returning again.

Service fantastic can’t do enough but the food is to die for. Amazing flavours fresh and vibrant colours delightful aroma really one of the best meals out. Highly recommended!

I popped in for dinner with a friend. Service was quick, friendly and not intrusive. The vegetarian spring rolls are the best I've had, ever. The main course was delicious too, a Vietnamese fried noodle dish. It makes a refreshing change to enjoy oriental food that isn't full of MSG. Nice dinner, good atmosphere, will return again.

I was expecting something very good given the reviews, but it was bland and tasteless, lacking the zing and excitement you normally get with Vietnamese food.

One up from a Chinese take away. Dull food, lacking in any zing, bland, characterless and not worth the cost. Seriously, get a Thai curry kit from the Sainsburys 7/11 for £2.90 and make your own curry, it will be a lot better.

Amazing food needs a bit more ambiance. The food was amazing and the starters, the crispy duck and the king prawn curry especially was so tasty. It was quite quiet, even for a Saturday. Thought they music could have been turned up a bit and some more soft furnishings or even light shades could have softened the interior. The staff were lovely and I will definitely be going back. Just exquisite food. As a group we had the vegetarian set menu. It was perfectly cooked, with genuine flavours. The servings where just right and all was consumed. Definitely no wastage! Come here, don't think twice. Very very good food, and very very friendly staff....

The food is excellent.Kim is a charming hostess and her husband cooks really tasty fresh dishes. The best Chinese we have found in Devon. We are concerned that crippling council tax and landlord rents will force this wonderful place to close.

Have been here for staff Xmas meal and my noodles were awful although I also had Irish coffe and it was lovely. I came back for coffee with my other half. We have ordered Irish coffees.
