A proper community hub! We came on the Wednesday and there happened to be a food and craft market on which we looked at and bought some sweets and baked goods. The little craft shop inside has a good selection of gifts and everyone there was so friendly, it really was the heart of the remote community and lovely to see.

The Kilchoan Community Centre is amazing. We have been many times before. We came for lunch in the middle of the wildest week of weather in February. We had days of storm force, freezing winds, snow and sleet. We got the warmest welcome possible from a lovely woman. I had the most gorgeous tomatoe and vegetable soup with gluten free oatcakes and he had lentil soup, which was delicious with a gorgeous ham and cheese toastie with a wee salad. Then lovely cake. We also purchased some lovely gifts. This place is amazing. It is run by the community and benefits the community. Please support it. It is well worth it.

Kilchoan Community Centre is a great place just minutes from the ferry - long may it continue. There's a friendly cafe, wee gift shop, second hand books, some geological exhibits, a games room, a gym hall you can hire if the weather is bad, even some showers, and one of the most fantastic play parks just outside.

Visited here when nearby. Cakes and hot drinks were expensive. We bought bread and cinnamon buns from a stall. Both were excellent and great value. The Centre is a great asset as it has generous opening hours and also has showers available.

My wife and I went in for afternoon tea, supposedly to homemade cakes etc. Well the Bakewell tart was absolute rubbish, I suspect been there for days, my wife had a small roll. We had 2 teas cost £9.50 could not believe it. I have a sweet tooth but left the cake.

The centre is a very pleasant 12-15 minute walk from the ferry that takes you across to Kilchoan from Tobermory. Always a selection of yummy cakes and nice strong coffee. Items for sale in small gift shop area include locally made crafts and wonderful hand dyed wool (buy some every time I visit).

We came upon this place just by chance as there is no advertising outside. We thought it was the local Doctors Surgery, when all the time it was both a Doctor and a Cafe.Don't forget,it is the Community Centre half a mile from the ferry.

Stopped for a lovely cup of tea and a flapjack. Lovely lady in charge and also a very friendly local lady who both had a lovely chat with us. We had crossed from Tobermory on the ferry and the community tearoom is s lovely place to stop off. The building has many uses including doctor's surgery so don't be out of going in when you see the sign. The building is opposite the visitors centre which is now closed so all information you can get over a nice drink and cake.

Absolutely love the Ardnamurchan peninsula and have spent holidays here most years since 1980 . Came for a week this May and heard about a Local Produce market at the Community Centre. Having 2 toddlers who are hard to entertain we where relieved to find an out of the way quiet corner with toys . The kids sat there playing which meant we could take turns going into the main hall and market . HOWEVER we where informed sternly by an elderly black haired lady that we must clear the toys away. The corner was in fact a doctor's surgery waiting room and there was no surgery today!!! Not sure what harm we where doing but rules are rules no matter how petty .

Kichoan, the westernmost town on the British Mainland is quite a small settlement and a fairly spread out one at that. Its community centre is its social and athletic focal point. It also has a tourist information centre, tearoom, locker and change rooms for the outdoor sporting facilities and a small gift shop.. We had excellent lentil soup and a roll at the Lemon Tree Tearooms.and it was delicious and served by very friendly staff.

A simple but lovely place to enjoy a coffee and homemade cake served with a smile. Open all year round too. Handy if you are early for the ferry to Tobermory. Lots of information for local events and things to do and a small gift shop add to its attraction. Very friendly locals too.

The community centre is located close to the ferry. It houses a tourist information shop and a tearoom. They sell second hand books and it is nice to browse the bookshelves of the shop as well. There is a small tearoom where they offer souls, sandwiches, cakes and biscuits. You do need to have enough time because they make everything from scratch. Even the tea. I had a lovely boel of soup, served with a roll and butter, really good quality. Next to the building is de community garden. A lovely small garden with a sandpit for the children, lovely plants and a small path leading through it. A nice way to pass the time while waiting for the ferry.

Stopped with our dog after taking in a local walk. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. We had wonderful tea and cake and sat outside with our dog. I had a wander around inside the little shop which had super gifts for children and adults. There was also a lovely children's play area overlooking grazing sheep and the loch and lots of comfy seats inside in case of bad weather. Altogether wonderful.

A friendly little centre, that is so much more than just a cafe, there's a shop, tourist info, local crafts, toilets and showers... The cafe is very welcoming and has a nice selection of filled rolls and cakes. We stopped on our way to the ferry to Mull and had some lovely ham/cheese rolls and tea to take away. You can also eat in. Great value too.

TLDR - food is way overpriced, service is unacceptable slow, just go to the Tesco cafe or find somewhere else. Ordered a wrap with eggs and sausage and a salmon and egg bagel with cheese and a can of juice. Took 55 minutes for the order and was £20. The food is ok but overpriced and for some reason everything has rocket put through it, you can get just as just as good from anywhere else at 1/3 the price. The menu doesn’t show prices for most things and the selection for the breakfast rolls/wraps is shown as “from £3.50” what they mean is £3.50 for every topping you add, want a slice of cheese? That’s £3.50. No table service which isn’t great when it’s premium prices. Only one toilet so expect to wait for that. There’s not much competition near by which I imagine is how the place still does well. The place knows what it’s doing, the menu is on a chalk board behind the serving area, as I said there’s lots of prices not listed or left vague, you’ll glance over this because your stuck standing reading it in front of everyone, you’ll want your glasses as well if you have them as everything is written very small. You pay after you’ve eaten as well so when they surprise you with the total you’re stuck with it.

Staff are first class. Beers, whilst good, haven't really moved forward much. Clientele can feature heavy on the hipster side. Lot of underdeveloped moustaches. Not sure the venue really worked. Just my take. Definitely worth a visit to check off your list. Like I said. Staff couldn't do more for you!
