Khyber House in Bradford

We ordered a takeaway on the 16/03/2019 we had to wait 2hrs for delivery and then they forgot the chapattis

We as a family have always eaten Khyber curries and after returning from our two week holiday a chicken dopiaza was needed! We were looking forward to our meal as the Khyber had been shut and now had reopened with new owners! When we got home and began eating our meal I realised immediately this was not up to the old Khyber standard! I purposely asked for no coriander that was not adhered to and the hotness of the curry was overwhelming there was a distinct lack of taste and flavour just heat! We will be ordering elsewhere from now on such a shame.

Came here with my dad after watching the football, and unfortunately we are not going again. The service was terrible, I never write reviews but this one took the biscuit. He made out it was our fault for not telling him we were eating in (he stated he asked but i wouldnt have said yes to eating out?) Messed up our order on multiple occasions and didnt understand his menu (they have two menus for some reason) This ment my onion bajhis were subituted for chicken pakora when i never asked for it. Also was asked several times if i wanted mango chuntey with my poppadoms after saying no several times I asked “how much are they?” He said “they are only 40p...” They then proced to give my curry to my dad. Afterwards he asked multiple times did you enjoy it with many are you sures? This is a very unprofessional “restaurant” Do not come here.

Ordered four different curries that were all meant to be medium spiced. All tasted bland and fatty - not freshly cooked. Also got 4 jappatis per curry so 16 altogether TOO MUCH!!!

No pidas desde este lugar a menos que quieras grasienta comida blanda - si se puede llamar comida! Y una carga de abuso del personal. Pedí una comida para llevar en Khyber un martes por la noche, así que no me puedo imaginar que eran ocupados, y dijeron que la sería para llevar con nosotros en 45 minutos, después de varias llamadas a Khyber la comida llegó 1 hora y media más tarde, seguían diciendo la entrega fue de 2 minutos. Nos negamos a pagar por la comida para llevar por dos razones - la comida era entregado mucho más tarde de lo esperado y fue dividido en recibo en la bolsa de compañía. Hablamos con el gerente, quienes respondieron con actitud y amenazas, decidió no cobrar por la comida, pero no había comunicado al conductor de la entrega que siguieron slam frente a nuestra puerta y llama mi móvil mientras estábamos tratando de comer lo que quedaba de los curry en los recipientes. Debería haber tomado nota de las críticas de comer solo sobre sus entregas finales, nunca lo pide de nuevo.

What has gone wrong with this place? The food was disgusting very dry and tasted like warm ups. The chips were hard and my granddaughters kebab meat was like wood absolutely inedible. The majority went in the bin. This place used to be nice standards have got rock bottom

This place used to be a good curry when it was the old shop used to really enjoy coming to the khyber now i can not understand why it was so busy and there was people picking take aways up the food is terrible worst curry ive had in a few year and let me tell you ive eaten currys all over bradford for years sultan sheesh mahal westgate international karachi i do no my currys the staff are loveley the place is spottless but the food is so bland the mint sauce is just a yougurt with synphetic mint and a pot of chilly sauce who has chilly sauce with a curry come on ! The starters i had where frozen deep fried and dry nothing was home made and fresh and as for the curry i just left it and so did my partner it was like a uncle benns curry what has gone wrong khyber ive never wrote a review before on trip advisor but feel i needed to i wanted to complain on the night but my misses said just leave it lets go utter dissapointment

This isn't just a takeaway, khyber house is amazing takeaway! I've sat inside on numerous occasions to eat and the surroundings are clean and comfortable. The food is outstanding, and never disappoints us. Thankyou guys

What has happened to this take away 🙁 it used to be lovely but it's gone down the swanney!! The last two times we have ordered the food has bn really low! The chips with our order today were really brown and dry ( warm ups) my lamb was very fatty and my husbands curry was half full.,. We've bn avn meals from here for years but not any more! Real let down !!!!

Ordered a take away for 4 on just eat web site, easy to do and you can add special request like less onions or extra chilli's etc which makes your curry to your own specific taste. We had 4 starters and 4 mains when they arrived the starters came with loads of salad and dips. Everything was piping hot and delicious. Because we were a new customer they rang us and offered free popadoms which was very welcome. We collected the meal from the restaurant and after placing the order it only took 30 minutes which we were delighted with. We would definatly use them again.

Having lived a stones throw away for nearly 5 years we decided to go ahead and order from here. We went dissapointed and the curry was great. Highly recommended and would definitely go back.

Food was quite cold. To say they are based just up road from where we ordered from. It shouldn't have been as cold as it was. And pop was missing from order. Ok they delivered it after. Overall not that happy with my order.

We used to order food from the Khyber when we lived in wyke many years ago. I was delighted to find them on just eat and to be just within delivery range. The Khyber is truly one of a few who can create an awesome traditional curry of extraordinary quality, they always could and as our order proved, still do. Glad to have them back.

Local takeaway / restaurant. Been open for many years, great food, great service, great value. Always good food never had a bad meal.

Where I work there was a bag handed in, so we found the address and took it back to the owners, we were looked after and everyone was so kind and friendly, they were so grateful we brought the bag back to it's owner, we were asked to sit down and they made us a curry each, which were both amazing! Would definitely recommend to anyone, the potions were large and everything about it was great! Thanks again!!

Been using this fine establishment for nearly 20 years and it never lets down.Excellent food and friendly service all the time.
