Great food but almost a 2 hour wait for food wasn't exceptable

We booked our table for 7pm for 8 people ...we were still awaiting our starters at 8.30 pm !!! Finally got our main meal at 9 ...portion sizes very small and expensive !! ...and afta complaining to mngr abt length of time we had waited for food was told it coming now ... no apology or how can we put this right for you ...very poor service!! Indeed deff will not be Returning or recommending....one very disappointed customer ...several customers complaining abt waiting tine for their food some people walked out !!! ...no way round Run a business!! .... and still when leaving no apology or discount offered 😕!!!

We've been here a few times as we live in the area. The staff are always very welcoming and attentive. The food has always been good too its the best Indian in the area in our opinion. Also having a few pubs nearby helps to make a whole night around there.

Poor service in booking a table, booked on line with available times, table confirmation came through, was called the next day at 4pm to be told couldn’t have table, absolutely rubbish!!!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed the meal here. The food is a notch or two above the other Indian and Asian restaurants in the area and competitive on price too. They serve alcohol so you wo t be able to take your own but prices are good £4.50 for a reasonable sized glass of red! I just wished I'd taken a photo of the nasn bread - it was a sight to behold.

Ordered takeaway decent delivery time but my instructions to have no vegetables in my order were ignored so meal was a massive let down

Our first time at Khatris and we had a great time! Food, service and house wine were all excellent. Some great Nepalese dishes to try. Momo for starters were little dumplings filled with beautifully spiced lamb and soup. Followed by a rich, savoury chicken curry with little pops of cranberries throughout. The best naan I've ever had, thinner than usual, crispy and very fresh tasting. Miles away from the doughy stodge at other restaurants. All in all a fantastic place to eat if you want clean, fresh tasting food and attentive and friendly service.

Huge gratitude to Aviral and Krishna Monika for making my mother’s birthday so special! Cuisine was delectable, service faultless and charming. We were whisked to the foothills of the Himalayas on a magic carpet of Nepalese herbs and spices blended together in a fusion of culinary genius. Thank you!

My latest visit to Khatris didn't disappoint, food was delicious, service was friendly and attentive, and the prices reasonable. It was a quieter night than I'd seen previously at Khatris but somehow this didn't affect the atmosphere.

Cannot fault this restaurant at all. The food was absolutely fantastic, very tasty. Staff were amazing, always really respectful and professional. If you're thinking of trying Khatri's do not hesitate.

We had a lovely meal over Xmas with friends and the food was superb - it was fresh and well cooked and it served by friendly, attentive staff. It was our first visit there but we will be back!

We have been here 3 times now and can only say that the food is very good and reasonably priced. Staff are really friendly and service is excellent. I will definitely use again and I can highly recommend.

Two of us visited Khatris, We had the same starters but different meals. BOTH were EXCELLENT! including the rice and Naan breads.... Lovely clean environment. Superb service from a very nice lady. Absolutely fabulous meal. Our second visit and definitely not our last. We tried to book for last Saturday but unfortunately Khatris was fully booked all night. There is no greater testimonial than that.

I visit Khatris quite regularly with my wife and friends. The MENU has a good selection of the regular dishes that you'd find on offer in a traditional Indian restaurant. BUT this is more Nepalese than Indian and you are well advised to consider the Nepalese selection. So many dishes you might never have tried before and beautifully prepared and served. SERVICE is second to none. We are definitely talking 'service with a smile' here! To top it all, our waitress even kept track of six separate bills for the eleven of us and paying at the end of the evening was a 'doddle'. So, if you are in a group and you need the settlement of the bill to be hassle-free, all you have to do is ask when you order. PRICES are no more expensive than anywhere else. OVERALL: Cannot speak highly enough of this place. You MUST TRY.

For some reason it appears i now have two accounts, one as Local Guide John Ireland which I can't edit and one as Curryholic. Following our last visit I was keen to return to try another dish as I had previously made the wrong choice, and we also really enjoyed the exceptionally friendly and efficient service. We stayed with the very tasty sheekh kebab but this time I opted for a Tawa, and it was as hot and as flavoursome as I was hoping for. The wife really loves her minty clay pot dish so no changes there. The chicken in both dishes was excellent too. Overall I couldn't fault the night. Unsurprisingly it is therefore very popular so booking is recommended.

Our second visit here and it would have been better if I hadn't had trusted my instincts. My usual choice off the menu is for something very flavoursome and on the hotter side. Unfortunately this resulted in our waitress recommending the Gurkhali special, apparently it's one of their most popular dishes but I wasn't sure and subsequently found it really bland and watery, possibly the most tasteless dish I have ever had. I should have returned it but waiting for a replacement would also spoil the night for the wife. Her meal was just the opposite which she couldn't praise highly enough. There was nothing wrong with the starters or sides either which were better than most places . I did mention my "issue" to them and TJ was very apologetic and rectified the issue. If in doubt with the menu please seek his advice. The friendly and efficient service, ambience and presentation of this restaurant is excellent, and we look forward to a different dish when we return.

Visited for the 1st time last night. The staff are very warm and friendly. We were made to feel very welcome. The food was amazing! Had a Chicken Karahi, Keema Rice and Cheese Nan. So tasty and all the food was piping hot. Best meal out I have had in ages. Cant wait to go there again. Very highly recommended. 10 out of 10

This is a place you must eat at. Absolutely 💯 the best food around this area. Atmosphere is very relaxed and staff amazing. Nothing is too much trouble.

Want something different to curry, well this is the place to go. Staff are lovely, nothing is to much trouble, food is excellent, with enough selection to satisfy different requirements. Would suggest booking as they do get busy. Street parking only.

Completely brilliant. Real friendly front of house. Beautiful people only too willing to help and serve. Book to avoid disappointment. One of the best curries I have ever had and that is saying a lot. Clean happy place to be. In the immortal word of Arnold Schwarzenegger "I'll be back ".

Went to the restaurant with family and even though I had gone off curries, went along for a night out. It was the first time I had been to this restaurant and it had been recommended by a family member. Ordered food and it was amazing. We were a party of 7 and not one of us left a scrap of food. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The only down side for us was the fact that we couldn't take our own drinks as it makes it more expensive, but will definitely be going back.

Wow this restaurant is amazing 🤩. My nephew took me here will I was visiting from Canada. We went back when my husband arrived in England. The pan fried veg Manchurian was so so good. I also loved the seekh kebab. I spoke to a number of people who know of this place and love it. We will go again when we come for a visit!

Was on time with delivery that was 1hour. Delivery charge for 1.5 miles away!! Disappointing that food was cold when arriving. Food was average!

Well all I can say is that we visited here for the first time on Friday. We had such a fabulous evening. Staff and food was top. We will definitely be recommending to our friends and family. Waited over 90 minutes for a curry, when it finally arrived it was cold and they put the wrong naan bread in, Called for an update and the guy was rude. I wouldn’t order from these if I was you!!!
