Daal was ok. The Balti Chicken was terrible, meat curry was just about edible. Biggest waste of money.

I understand that the pandemic has put a lot of strain on businesses, but that's no excuse to behave unethically and swindle clients. I've been bringing large groups of people from Italy to London for the last ten years and have always made a booking at Khan's Restaurant for a traditional meal.In February 2020, we booked and paid for a meal in March 2020 for around 65 people (meaning over 1200 pounds). However, as the pandemic spread and travel restrictions from Italy came into place, we had no choice but to cancel the trip and the meal at Khan's.I tried several times to contact the restaurant, but communications by phone, email and message have been impossible or inconclusive and I was told continually that a resolution was in the works. At one point, we were told that we could either have a refund or "coupon" for 2021, but neither has materialized and the restaurant staff is no longer responding in any form whatsoever.This is an appalling way to treat clients. Beware of being swindled by these unethical, unprofessional restaurateurs.

Un restaurante espacioso y encantador con hermosas paredes y techos pintados. Comí un curry fresco y sabroso servido con arroz pilau ligero y delicadamente condimentado en un plato de cobre. El personal se mantuvo distante sin comprometer el servicio de mesa. Las medidas de distanciamiento social no fueron demasiado abrumadoras para estropear un intento de comer fuera de casa después de varios meses.

Oje, was war es vor Jahren noch eine 1a Qualität. Man ging erstmal zu Khan's um sich mit einem Curry einzustimmen auf tolle Tage in London. Nun ist es bestenfalls nur noch durchschnittlich. Sowohl in Bezug auf die Qualität der Speisen, als auch auf das gesamte Ambiente. Der Charme ist irgendwie verloren gegangen. Die Preise rechtfertigen leider in keinerlei Sicht mehr das Gebotene. Es bleibt ein flaues Gefühl der Massenabfertigung und eine Traurigkeit, dass es hier keinen Spass mehr macht zu speisen.

Authentic cooking, elegantly served, and keenly priced. Well worth revisiting. I always enjoy dining at Khan's. Great location

I always go to Khan's when I feel like eating Indian food, since the 80s so it's quite a long time and still doesn't disappoint me.

Qualità del cibo sempre buona da almeno 28 anni, per quel che mi riguarda. Porzioni abbondanti e gustose. Unici due appunti il cheese nan poco saporito e la mancanza di bevande alcoliche.

Aprés lecture des avis sur tripadvisor nous sommes allés manger a ce restaurant en famille , il y avait beaucoup de monde mais malgré quelques minutes d'attente on nous a trouvé une table.Cela a été un vrai régal pour nous , les plats étaient généreux , la qualité au rendez vous , nous avons été bien conseillé étant novice en cuisine indienne .Des plats gratuits en bonus, meme en étant bon mangeur je n'ai pas fini tous ce qui m'était proposé...seul bémol restaurant un peu bruyant.Je recommande !!!

Locale arredato in modo grazioso che rispecchia il gusto indiano. Ristorante su due livelli con buona capienza per la clientela. I cibi sono serviti sia al tavolo che al buffet. Il menu è ricco. Molta verdura cucinata in molteplici modi molto saporita come anche la carne, pollo, manzo, agnello....speziata e più o meno piccante. Ottimo anche il riso servito sempre in accompagnamento ai vari piatti. Ottima la pulizia nel locale. Il personale è molto gentile e cortese. Buona alternativa alla cucina English. Prezzi nella media. Consigliato.

In giro per Notting Hill con una fame da lupi alle 10 di sera.Trovato per caso,cibo buonissimo,personale cordiale.Lo consiglio anche perchè prezzi sono abbordabilissimi!

This restaurant has been around for a very long time, it's obviously doing something right or it just has a lot of regulars. The food is standard, there are much better Indian restaurants out there.

Went there for dinner on Sat 8th Feb. Ordered a spread of dishes from the menu; along with the menu we were also given a leaflet which gave Brexit deals if you spent 20 or 30£ or more. The butter chicken was exceptionally good. Other than that food was very average or below a average! Waiters and Manager are rude and have no manners at all. I have been coming to this restaurant since early 80’s. I asked for the bill and was given the bill which did not take account of the special brexit offer of £ 30 and over spending ( our bill without discount was £ 61). On quizzing the waiter he called the manager. When I pointed this out to him he said you have to ask for the discount at the time of ordering. I pointed to the discount leaflet which DID NOT MENTION THIS AT ALL! I asked him to show me this instruction on the leaflet and he just stuck to his line! He was very rude and could not care less.I paid the bill full and left no tip and will not be returning ! Beware of this restaurant. It was the place to “ go to” for Indian cuisine but sadly its gone downhill.

We had a really nice meal at Khan's. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was tasty and surprisingly good value for the area. I had the Rogan Josh which was tender and rich and the naans were nicely cooked and big! It was a friday evening and the atmosphere was lively without being too noisy.

Excellent Restaurant. Called the restaurant they said come through with our party of 10 .waited 15 minutes to be seated Food was awesome. Very tasty . Staff were very helpful and pleasant.place was clean. bathrooms are downstairs and clean . No bathroom facilities for someone in a wheelchair.

We all loved the food . Great . The waiter was very kind especially with my kids and in the end he presented them Some sweets .

after a lovely day shopping in the city we decided to have a meal at Khan's. we were told to wait for a table when i could clearly see one available for two. after 10 minutes we were offered that same table, after that when we were ready to order nobody came to us even though we were like mere cats trying to catch the waiters attention. by now i was getting well annoyed. i had to physically get up go to the counter and request for our order to be taken. no apology order eventually taken. they weren't that busy because one half of the seating area was closed off. however it still took them a while to bring the food. i asked for some water and the waiter said someone else will bring it. by now a table next to us was taken by a two ladies who also struggled to get there order taken.after waiting for so long i felt compelled to get up and almost drag somebody over to take there order. the service was shockingly poor. like they did not care at all. food was mediocre. my wife and i left with a terrible impression. never again.

Went there yesterday it was very busy, first I really didn’t like how we have been welcome but didn’t say anything as it was busy and I can understand staff can be under pressure. I ordered a korma but I have been served something completely deferent from a korma so I double checked with the waiter , he confirmed it was a korma while it wasn’t ! Then I complained to the manager he was very rude to us telling us that we still need to pay the bill he didn’t care about the reason why I was complaining, he just wanted the money!!!

Khans brought a buffet to our workplace on Friday 20th Dec 2019 to feed 30. The service was amazing, the food was delicious. Iqbal the events manager set up everything including plates, cutlery and napkins, and then returned to collect it all. On point! We will definitely be using their services in the future.

Kahn’s est une chaîne a Londres qui existe depuis des années et fréquentée aussi bien par des indiens (ce qui est bon signe), des touristes voulant goûter des plats indiens , des résidents locaux et des clients voulant payer le juste prix (donc pas cher)

Arrived on a busy Saturday night but the service was still quick and attentive and the food came out pretty quickly. The vegetable biryani was a hit, as well as the chana masala that had a slight hit. The dal was also what you would expect and hit the spot. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a reasonable Indian!

Really nice meal here today. Went for a birthday lunch, having moved locally and with fond memories of visiting over ten years ago. Food was good, butter chicken delicious and good breads. Friendly service and leftovers to take home. Would recommend and will be back!

I recently organised a large private event for a university society gathering to celebrate Deepavali at Khan's. The food was buffet style and amazing especially the meat bhune masala and the vegetable samosas! It was a great turnout and the staff at Khan's were extremely helpful during the planning process and throughout the whole event. Highly recommend for any large gathering as they do have a more private downstairs area that is perfect for large dinners :)

Delicious mutton biryani and paneer tikka. Khan’s always delivers on flavour, great delivery service and best value for money.

Visited Khans restaurant for dinner and the meal prices were very reasonable however I would have to say quality was not the best. I have had better in London. Nevertheless, filled the spot.

Me gusta que mi comida esté caliente. Los nans yacían en un plato y se habían vuelto masticables y duros. Deberían traer nans frescos. Al pedir encurtidos en lugar de traer una bandeja de encurtidos, el camarero solo trajo una pequeña cantidad. Tenía grandes expectativas de este restaurante pero no volveremos. Ya esperaba un buen lugar para cenar cuando decidí ir a Khan, alguien ya me lo recomendó. Lo que no esperaba era la maravillosa decoración interior y el sabroso jugo de mango que servían.

I’ve been going to khans for 20 years of my life. Since the age of 9, with family and friends, and now I come here three times in a month with my husband. The waiters take your order down correctly and food comes within reasonable minutes. They also serve popadoms and sauces while you wait for your mains. Portions are also more than expected, for the price they charge, it’s really good. I see the same customers when I return and also see lots of mixed ethnicities and elderly and locals, which means it doesn’t just jump out to the Asian community. Very family friendly and lovely to just sit and chat, with desserts or tea, after the food is done. The environment is comfortable, but that doesn’t mean the waiters are careless, they do their jobs and get it done correctly. I also got this restaurant to cater for my Engagement and Wedding, I had many messages and compliments on the food. Lots of people asked about it and loved the starter and mains. Recommended meals: Chicken Bhuna is DELICIOUS, vegetable Bhuna, crispy Onion bhajia, veg biryani or chicken biryani, thali, samosas, chicken tikka, and raita sauce. All the meals I’ve tried and loved. I am a huge food critic and have eaten in different countries, e.g. Malaysia, Thailand, Bali, Cappadocia, Morocco, Venice and still going! Please do try this place out, it’s a gem in the middle of Bayswater.

Food is generally okay but some dishes were too oily. Layer of oil on dishes very visible. Perhaps lesser oil? Enjoyed the fried rice and biranyi.

I think this is probably the one of the best Indian restaurants in London. I’ve tried many after living here for 15 years. The service can be a bit rude or come across that way but generally the waiters are quite friendly. The recipe for the food that they use is hard to beat, all mouth wateringly delicious.

I’ve been visiting Khans for 5 years now - the food, historically, was always great - it can sometimes be a bit hit and miss now with certain dishes. The tandoori chicken is excellent, butter chicken is good - nan’s are always very good - mixed grill is ok. Fancy drinks (non alcoholic) look and taste good.

We were walking by and noticed this place which looked like a good place for late lunch. After walking in we noticed some empty tables but were made to wait by the waiter.

Have been to this restaurant before a few times and found the food to be tasty, but on this occasion it wasn't as good as it normally is.

Went for Dinner, requested table booking on phone which was declined and been asked to walk in and wait. Food was OK and I myself being with Asian background, I know what top quality tastes like. Service was fast and though impression was just eat and leave and make way for other guests.

If your order received is different from what you ordered...its YOUR fault, couldn't possibly be their website. Told be delivery man don't use website!?? Then accused me of lying even offered to pay for the dishes they got right so as not to waste their trip ( btw only o.2 miles) but started shouting at me insisting i pay foe whole incorrect order. Had.to shut door on his rudeness!

Absolutely awful service. Food undercooked and rude staff. Two members of staff ganged up against a female customer. Arguing and fighting with another group of people. Just awful.

Delivery ordered 2 mutton buryani. I had two guests, all our opinions were it's not buryani, it was rice mixed with sauce, this time looked like buryani though, the whole dish only had about 4 small pieces of meat. The meat wasn't great and there was no buryani taste. Last year Ramadan I ordered same and what I got was rice and sauce but this didn't even look like buryani, my friend and I was shocked, only a week ago we had ordered same and it was amazing. I called the restaurant today and they never apologised. The manager's answer was ignore my comment about meat and repeatedly say do you know how we cook the buryani and he hasn't had complaints before apparently! This is not normal! The response is an indication that they know what's happening. Would never order from here again.

Great staff. Vast menu. Grills and curries are great. Don't expect atmosphere. JUst great food. I have gone back there over the last 10 years or more. Never disappointed

You can't reserve your table in advance unless if you are a very big group also you will arrive and you will not find your table, you might wait between 15 mins to 45 mins. The system as following: You enter the restaurant, you should remember how many persons were before you and also who arrived after you so you can know when your turn will be .. Then in case if you are looking for a table for 2 persons, one of the waiters will shout table for two, if you are lucky enough and you managed to remember who came after you and who was before you then no one will take your turn, otherwise you will enter with a battle with the guests fighting " I came before you and I was here since one hour blah blah blah" This is unprofessional way and they can manage it in a simple way by listing down the names based on First come first served and based on the table capacity. Food is average and maybe below average

Born and bread in west London , but moved to Denmark 40 years ago. But every time we come back to London, we must have a curry. Have visited khans many times and Can only say , it’s been good everytime. Coming back this year 5 may at 7 pm. Looking forward already.

Khan’s is my one “must” when in London. The food is authentic and tasty, served without delay and is always hit and fresh. The lamb mince kabobs are exceptional.

I have been a regular here for many years and appreciate the slightly dated and authentic feel to the place. The food is good - generous portions - and is reasonably priced. Waiting staff friendly and often rather eccentric. In fact I visited for dinner on Saturday and returned for lunch on Sunday. Nothing fancy but a great experience - and the no alcohol rule enhances the atmosphere rather than diminishes. Good mix of young and old, and solo diners and larger family groups.

To me Khans is famous! Its history has lived for many years.

Goed Indiaas eten hier gehad. De mixed Tandoori grill was lekker en goed van smaak. Het personeel was niet al te vriendelijk maar het was dan ook wel erg druk op dat moment. En alles voor een prima prijs.

I haven’t been to this restaurant for years, and whilst the quality of the food is not to be faulted the fact that they have stopped serving alcohol was a disappointment. They have previously commented that this was a choice they had made to promote health. I think this is absolute rubbish and the reason more political. I am not a drinker, but if I am treating myself to a rare meal out, then as an adult I would like the option of having a glass of wine with my meal. If they choose not to sell alcohol which must have reduced their takings then they should at least charge reasonable prices for the non alcoholic drinks they are serving. I paid £3.95 for a glass of ice water with some lime and mint, which was called a mojito. I remember back in the day this restaurant would be heaving on a Fri - not anymore and I for one will not be back again.

Old-fashioned ambience, dated decor, unnecessarily bureaucratic - yes, Khan's is a genuine throwback experience. And the food was remarkably good

Super food , great service by all three who looked after me and my son this lunchtime there attitude was impeccable as was the food.. I can’t imagine why people say otherwise but I guess that’s “tripping” for you !!

Visiting London to reminisce given we brought our children up in and around Bayswater, visited Khans but can’t comment on the food as we left before ordering. Having been seated for 10 mins without being asked if we want a drink or ready to order but the table opposite finished and the next customer was served it was disappointing, typical attitude as they don’t need regular visitors as tourists come and go. Extreme disappointment, stay away.

I was meeting with a friend for a meal, and we decided to drop by here as we have seen it busy many a times, but never been. The restaurant is quite large inside, although with a dated décor. We started off with a portion of lamb seekh kebabs and chicken tikka – not bad, but not great either. It only got worse from there….. For mains we ordered the lamb biryani and a chicken karahi. Both were terrible, the biryani was quite dry and the meat didn’t seem fresh either. As for the chicken karahi, it seemed to be mixed with canned spinach for some reason, and really was horrendous. We also ordered some nan bread and roti to go with the chicken, and they were probably the best part of the meal.

We went there with friends who've known the place for 20 years. They told us the staff was grumpy but the food was good, and they were right. It is certainly not a prestigious restaurant where to take your family for a gold wedding celebration but it is a very priceworthy and effective place - we were 5 who ordered starters, nan bread, main dishes, sides and several drinks (no alcohol - the restaurant doesn't serve any) for 100£, very reasonable.

I always try as much curry as possible when I am in London. This place is a standout in Bayswater. I generally do not go to alcohol-free places but my husband recommended this and it was worth it for the excellent jalfrezi.

Han pasado 22 años desde la última vez que fuimos a comer aquí. Decidimos ir a la carta en lugar del buffet de almuerzo que estaba disponible. Teníamos el camarón Briyani, pollo Tandoori, Sag Paneer y el pan Naan. Son buenos lamer los dedos. Y la porción que servía era buena, suficiente para 2 personas hambrientas.

First visit to this restaurant. Prices are very reasonable which was just as well with regard to our starters as for £3 ish the portion of samosas consisted of two small but very nice samosas and a bit of salad. The chicken biryani was really lovely and a huge portion but strangely they brought the starters and the main course at the same time. We knew it was a no alcohol restaurant which was no problem to us but I thought I would try the alcohol free cobra thinking it would taste the same as the real thing but that was a big mistake so at least I know that now. Surly but reasonably efficient staff and in keeping with most restaurants in that area they add 10% service charge which I object to the principal of but it is difficult to avoid.

Been recommend by friend to visit the place. Made a phone order for delivery to our apartment which came very swift within 30min. Food was above average and we enjoyed it.

Khan’s , solid Indian with swift service, tasty food and no alcohol to even be tempted by. There is no clever cuisine here, but that can be just what you want Having said that their peshwari nan is the best I have ever had

Stylish Indian restaurant with spacious seating area for small groups of a large party. The food is a mixture of authentic tastes and also adapted dishes for the western palette. If is a well known and established brand popular with locals and people that may travel just to experience Khan. The food is very good with a high standard of cooking but portions are small and expensive as compared to other Indian restaurants. Your paying more for the location than the food.

Was organising a Deepavali dinner for my society with Iqbal and the staff were super friendly! Very helpful with the arrangements and very flexible with the menu, the private event was held in the basement and was arranged to make the place feel comfortable. Definitely our go to restaurant for our annual dinner!

Last night we had a dinner at Khan's Queensway. Food was expensive compare to other South Asian restaurants in Green Street, Southall. Taste was full on Onion. seems like you are having Orion only. Order Peshawari Naan and I never had a Peshawari naan like they serve Sweet and completely different taste,as myself from Peshawar and I know how the peshawari naan is. Anyway one of the wait was arguing while I explained him. Poor customer services as all the staff were talking in their own language which makes you more uncomfortable. At the end when I paid my bill the wait insisting for the tip. Though they already charged ( Service Charges as well ). When I asked a question about the service charges and tips. They said Service Charges goes to the company account. As far as I remember UK Government announced that the service charges will goes to the employees account. Anyways Never again and will never recommend to anyone as I am working in the area. Masla Zone is much better option next door. Thank you

Been here many times. If you are looking for a posh restaurant with great ambience and super service, this isn’t the place for you. If you are looking for authentic food, with that home cooked taste then this is just the place. The biryani has the home cooked taste, the Balti Chicken, Keema Mattar are my favourite, along with the mixed grill. The Thalis are good value and is great if you want to try a selection. The Jalfrezi is very hot and different to anything you will taste in any other restaurant and it is an acquired taste if you don’t like really hot spicy food. All in all a smashing place with really great tasting food.

We went out to have Indian food, and found Khan’s. It is a very big restaurant with a lot of noise from all the guests. It isn’t cosy I would rather say it’s a food factory. The food we had was very good but we prefer Indian food to be a little more spicy than what we had in this restaurant. Nice and polite service. The price was ok.

The food in this restaurant is very tasty and fresh and they have very professional and helpful staff always ready for you. I always go for dinner there or have take away as they provide well.

I have been in this restaurant many times and never disappointed. Generous portions of tasty food with a good variety . If you are looking for a delicious Indian food this place is the best but it’s not a fancy restaurant.

Came back to Khans with my son after along time something have not changed much, however the food was as good if not better than I remember.

I ate here on a Wednesday evening together with a bussiness relation. We arrived here around 20:00 and there were more then enough tables .There is no alcohol served in this restaurant. We took as drinks the mango Lassi which are really nice but filling. We had three starters; the shrimps, cod and the garlic nan. All superb. The chicken Balti and chicken Madras were good. The Madras was a little bit on the mild side for my taste.

More than a decade ago, this was one of the top Indian tables. Today is another story altogether. The decor hardly changed and is tired, plain table and chairs, dishevelled waiters. The quality and standard of Indian food in London has gone up so much in the last decade that it has left this restaurant all the way in the back. The food was good and tasty but certainly not exciting. Sadly, this restaurant has stopped serving alcoholic drinks. There are now far better Indian restaurant and far more modern and innovative than this one.

The best Indian food restaurant in London, what else do you need! Try not to eat everything on the menu though because everything you order will taste just perfect!

This "hole in the wall" restaurant came very highly recommended and did not disappoint.

Maybe because I went during a busy dinner period, the service was wanting. But Khan's is a Bayswater institution and you know that the food will be good.

It looks like in India, smells like in India, the waiters work like in India, and the thali tasted like in India. The prices are cheap. I thought it was a great experience cause I felt like in India. They also have both salty and sweet lassis!

Por mi Estándar asiático el sabor eran pobres y no auténticos. Pedí varios tipos de curry. Todos los platos de curry eran de color similar y buen gusto. I love this place! They have many indian dishes to choose from for very affordable prices. I always go, the atmosphere and style could be improved but for a filling meal with friends it is perfect!

This place is well-know by locals. Our cab driver was driving us to an upscale Indian restaurant called Jamavar and said instead we should go to Khan’s for better food at better price. We still went to Jamavar which was very nice but tonight we tried Khan’s and our driver was absolutely right!!! We paid a lot less and the food was as good and if not even better. The ambiance is different. The service was very good and efficient. Honestly a little gem in Notting Hill. The portions are very big for the rice and the naan bread.

Vor vielen vielen Jahren waren wir hier und es war sehr gut. Was wir aber jetzt da erlebt haben war nicht schlecht sondern sehr schlecht und ungenügend. Essen war nicht warm, der Spinat angebrannt, Gemüse zum Teil undefiniert überkocht. Saucen waren ölig usw. schlechte Bedienung und unfreundlich. Da gehen wir nie mehr wieder hin.
