KFC Elgin - Linkwood Place in Moray

Says closes at 10pm but has been closed last 3 x times I’ve past before 5 pm. What a waste of a building. Useless.

Shut twenty minutes before 10pm on Saturday. Waste of space

Filthy male toilets. No soap to clean hands. Loose taps. Water everywhere. Food tray served to us had sauce smeared all over the bottom of it Outside bins overflowing. Rubbish all around the building. Image what the kitchen is like. We await the generic response saying you'll try to do better, even though that promise seems to be going on for many many months. Poor show guys.

Probably the worst KFC in the UK for food. Gravy is poorly made. It's the nearest KFC to me, keep going back thinking it will improve. It's closed 2 days a week, no idea why. Always a mess outside with rubbish. Staff are friendly on the plus side.

Food chicken was a bit bland, fries were decent though

They are always understaffed here, feel sorry for them. Service suffers massively because of this. Waiter 30 mins for my meal on a quiet Tuesday afternoon.

Placed an order through the app for takeaway, staff were pretty quick in packing the order but when I got to where we were eating I discovered I was missing two large gravy’s so went back to the restaurant and spoke with the manager Brodie who only offered to replace one as she had spoken with the staff packing orders and they all claimed to have put them in, was made out to be a liar and Brodie was very rude in how she spoke regarding the missing items

Lovely food and quiet when we were in.

Usually pretty quiet which means its pretty quick. Does what it says on the tin. Good enough food. Price is on higher side for fast food but for an occasional treat its good.

KFC has always been a hit or miss. It's becoming much more of a miss. Since COVID and still to this day they don't let anyone use bathrooms.There's no point of them being on Just Eat as they are never on it and always seem to close when you put in an order. Items usually missing and replacements like two small gravy to replace a large gravy. Have even noticed things going out after the time stamped sell by times. It's horrendous how much the food industry standards are dropping.

I was waiting in the queue for 30 minutes to 40 minutes just to be told there is no chicken I find that absolutely ridiculous

Gone to shambles, food quality awful. Never been the same since John left the establishment. Even tried offering him his job back on a lower rate! He refused, stating the environment was in disarray.

18th agust 2024 at 6.45pm. I bought 10 piece drum stick. It was horrible. Dried out batter. I don't know how many hours that chicken was but . I put it in the been. How can you sale this chicken to someone and ask money for it. This happened before but I guarantee to you will never happen again. Because we will not come back

Needs to be updated. Not serving the latest drinks or desserts. The app is not linked, so you have to order at the store.

After many months of avoiding this Restaurant due to lack of cleanliness and unhelpful staff we decided to have a look today. OH MY GOODNESS!!! There is not enough praise can be given to the massive improvement. Told the manager our thoughts and congratulated him on the amazing turnaround. Everything and everyone was pleasant. Will be returning.

Never had an issue with the food, but the place is a bit grubby and the bins in the carpark are always full..

The chicken was terrible. As an American I think they should burn this place down on the 4th of July. Or maybe Guy Faux night. Keep in mind the last time I ate here was 10 years ago. So hopefully they’ve improved. I look forward to trying it next time I’m in Elgin.

Normally I wouldn't share a negative review but in this case I feel this is necessary. I went to the drive through to order food and was met with silence for a long time so decided to drive to the window where the young man serving me was very helpful. They were out of every item I wanted from the menu and offered to substitute sauce in one item which was great. But the manager dealing with the member of staff was absolutely horrible. They kept shouting at him and saying very aggressively no we don't have that and then not offering any other options at all. After the young man took my order the manager kept shouting, when he asked for help, he treated him terribly, asking why he couldn't do something he hadn't been trained on, and shouting over and over about everything. I understand that fast food can be a stressful environment - I have worked in a similar paced kitchen myself, but to treat your staff like that is a disgrace. It was so uncomfortable for myself to witness and the poor young man serving me looked incredibly deflated as he had his head bit off countless times, for what was a very minor issue. It is horrible to see anyone treated this way and I hope that the management changes as this was apalling and some of the worst treatment of staff I've witnessed in 7 years of working in hospitality.

KFC is (was) my favourite takeout restaurant. However, this Elgin Linkwood Lodge branch is utterly terrible. From missing orders, cold, tasteless chicken, waiting for ages for your order and recently they joined Just Eat, well don't bother, the order just gets cancelled an hour and a half later.... Just a really unfortunate experience really. Rather go to McDonalds.

Food was okay. But seen better. The place is grubby and needing a good clean. Floor had crumbs and debris over it. All kiosks not working so only orders at til. Lots of staff but seemed slow for number of people in store. The toilets were poor, needing a good clean also.

Not open . Should be but no notice in the door . Poor customer service if you can’t even have an apology we are closed sugb

I dont really understand how this restaurant is still open, order through just eat they take 15 mins before cancelling my order then they close the restaurant, 5 mins later there restaurant is open again then 5 mins later its closed agaim took my money dont answer calls makes no sense why bother opening ?? Put me off even trying to order in the future

Asked me what extra sides I wanted as I didn't take drink didn't give the options available OR have them listed so didn't take I also couldn't hear them properly but trying to get them to understand this was so difficult it was like they were working to a script and my problem wasn't on it ....won't be back

Took food out to motorhome to eat.

Excellent tonight , but need to keep up with the rubbish outside , birds pulling it out of buckets

The woman who got me at the drive thru window had terrible customer service skills, she wasn't bothered with me at all. For being a chicken place, the chicken was rank - it was like biting into something that was so tough I spat it all back out and gave up.

Is this place even open any more? I pass by it a lot, often when looking for somewhere to stop for food and it's missing out on so much trade.

Chicken was lovely, chips were not. They looked and tasted like a mix of old and new chips but weren't very hot either.

Very untidy, tables not being cleared or cleaned while we were there. Food was average at best.

Seems to be shut more than its open lately. The place is filthy everytime we've been in. Tables are always dirty, floor is like a sheet of grease is on it. Even the barriers around the tables are thick with dust and dirt. Yet it's always empty and yet staff are stood about doing nothing. Food is generally either cold, wrong, or they forget to put it in. Portions of chips are terrible, we had less than 10 in each of ours. They don't always have certain types of chicken ready so have to cook some. But sit the rest of your order on the side to go cold for 10 minutes why they wait for it.

3 of us had different meals, the chicken was hot and tasted lovely could have done with a bigger portion of French fries

Staff don't seem to care about their customers. You are given a dirty look when you ask how long your food will be the food, not what it used to be.

Place was absolutely filthy food was abismal chips were cold chicken was dry as a stick. Bins were overflowing floor was covered in food and debris staff had a couldn't care less attitude. Would never eat there again. A shame for whoever has the franchise that your staff let you and your restaurant down

Disgusting staff are horrible and food was freezing. Complained and told they don't toast the rolls or wraps and it obviously cools the contents quicker.

Absolutely shocking service having to wait at the drive thru forever to get served food. Is this not meant to be classed as ‘fast food’? Maybe employ better staff or train them properly.

Overpriced and awful. The quality of food from this place for what they charge is disgusting.

Horrendous service today, the first thing i saw was a member of staff drop food off a tray onto the floor, pick it up and serve it to a table, the experience was somehow downhill from there, they didn’t have what i ordered so i had to have it swapped. We had to move tables due to a family coughing constantly next to us with out of control children. Dirty tables left throughout our 20 minute visit whilst staff danced behind the counter and called table service numbers up to collect their food instead of giving table service.

Ordered takeaway here Saturday lunch time. I should have taken the complete lack of customers as a sign. After waiting 10 minutes after i ordered i got my drink. After another 5 minutes I was told there were no mini fillets ready and there would be a 5-10 minute wait. I asked if I could have something else instead, after much discussion between staff I was offered chicken popcorn, I said this was already part of my order. I was offered another small chicken popcorn instead of the mini fillet. I accepted this change. Another 5 minutes later, my burger now Luke warm and my chips the same I was told that there was only 1 corn on the cob available, I had ordered 2! Saturday lunchtime, no mini fillets ready and no corn on the cob! Got my order and left. Settled down to eat it only to discover, no gravy! I had specifically ordered this. There's absolutely no way I will be back and there is absolutely no way I will recommend going there. Do yourself a favour and go to the McDonalds next door.

Would possibly have given more stars, but when we arrived at 0820 PM despite checking opening times on Google (also on restaurant door), the should have closed at 0900 PM, but the doors were locked and the one staff member gave us a glance and walked away, even the drive thru was closed early.

I use this kfc once a month. there is always something missing and you have to check on the spot or turn back, a tragedy. the same for years

Ordered a wicked variety meal, got just 6 bits of chicken! Got it here to take home to family, had to then go out to buy fish n chips as no boneless pieces for the kids. Tried to contact them, no answer!

The food was hot and fresh, probably the best KFC we'd had in a long time. Sadly that doesn't make up for the ants that were crawling over the table, walls and our feet. Crumbs all over the floor and tables and bins outside overflowing. Visited 10th June 2023 at 6pm.

Worst KFC I’ve ever eaten from! Chicken was all burnt, few strands of slaw on my wrap and the buckets for one tasted disgusting! Kitchen area was like a local youth club and food hygiene standards were questionable! Won’t ever go back and wouldn’t recommend either!!!

Worst KFC I have used for a long time. Service was ssssssssslowwwwww. Took 19 minutes to get my food. There was only 3 people ahead of me and 2 behind me and nobody in drive thru. One of the guys who came in behind me got theirs before me. When I did get my order which was 2 zinger burgers NO MAYO singles and 4 piece bucket takeaway burgers where clarted in MAYO even when I went to counter to specifically tell them NO MAYO as I'm allergic to mayo

Was the first customer on the day I was there. Got a take away brunch. The person who served me was really friendly, think her name is Jenni. Will make a turn when in the area again.

Place is in dire need of a clean. The touch screens were disgusting and the tables and seats needed a good wipe down.

Drive through Food ok. Though the breaded bit fell off my chicken Service extremely slow. Especially for "fast food"

Place is never open when it supposed to be and when it is the food isn't the best

I'd like to give this a higher rating but in all honesty I can't do it. You can't go wrong with a cheeky KFC and I can't and won't fault the food. However the cleanliness of this KFC left a lot to be desired. The litter outside was piled up, and inside the tables needed a good clean across the whole of the dining area. We cleaned our table with our own hand sanitiser and napkins. It may be due to a staffing issue, I've no idea, but I do hope that going forward the Manager looks at this issue. That aside, good parking on site.

I had a hot wings and meal but I was waited for 35 min on Monday afternoon not too busy but the rice not worthy at all they gave me like frozen the wings was good.

Dirtiest filthiest KFC I have been in, people coming in and leaving as it was so dirty, a disgusting disgrace, for the money it should be spotlessly clean, was going to sit in but went back to car.

As someone who has frequently ate here in the past but hasn't been in for food for over a year I thought I would go find out what changes have been made since my last visit. The 2 servers on the tills were great, attended to my dietary requirements and was extremely nice. Now to the chicken I have had some great chicken and some awful chicken in this place but yesterday whoever was in kitchen amazingly cooked. I had the mighty bucket for one and chicken was lush and fries piping hot could not ask for a better meal. Best I have seen the establishment run since last visit. Full credit to whoever was running the shift from front to back they clearly had a team who respect their manager. Read some of the comments beforehand and I don't know who they was talking about in some of them but it certainly wasn't any of the staff working yesterday.

Shut Again! 13:12 on a Friday and the drive thru is shut and the doors are locked. So many people turning away. Great service KFC Elgin - may be about time you close your doors for good! Don’t do reviews often but this is not your first time of delivering poor service. At least put a message on the door or update your web page.

The food is good if you like KFC and the driving through is efficiently operated. Inside is a little less appealing.

Made the mistake of using the toilet before eating. Toilet looked as though it hadn't been cleaned never mind that day but for a week. Disgusting!! Never be back.

Went in with my family we intended to eat in but upon seeing the state of the place we decided not to. The place was a mess food smeared on every table. Will not be coming back to KFC again In Elgin.

Awful experience. Staff got no idea what they’re doing. Asked for a student offer, they scanned the code but didn’t put an item in the bag. Happened 3 times now! Mixed up the orders, didn’t get an ice cream I paid for. What a joke

Food was OK, but the service was sloppy, went inside for food, was ignored, and as a double amputee I left the restaurant and jumped in my car, went to drive through round the side of the building, and got served straight away, staff inside very ignorant and not very nice.

Ordered 3 meals from the Elgin Drive tru today (04/01/23) after waiting 30 minuites, we got home to find we have completely been given the wrong meals. No recipet was given and when calling to inform them , we are asked ,"what do you want me to do" ?........🙄🤬🤬

Had to wait 25 mins from the time of ordering to get a family meal. Food was greasy, not very hot and staff were very slow. I'd recommend trying somewhere else. If I wee KFC (the brand), I wouldn't let this place tarnish their name.

Ridiculously slow service when it wasn't even busy, place was an abomination, bins overflowing, trays and rubbish all over the tables, mens toilet had toilet paper all over the floor, water everywhere and no soap in the dispenser. Will never go back to that location, absolute disgrace of a place.

If i could give this no start i would. Ordered a rice box zinger to come home and find no bloody chicken in it. Totally a disgrace and no one knows what they are doing

Went there today with my 10 year old son, we were first in when they opened, the tables were dirty, from the night before, toilets had not been cleaned, and the women serving, was very abrupt, and miserable, as hell, didn't even get my order correct, suppose to open at 12,but was 10 minutes late, could not of been for cleaning the place
