KFC Cambridge Services A14 in South Cambridgeshire

Great services when ordering my food I believe ritish is one of the employers name who served me ! Thank you for my food was lovely ☺️

As a wagon driver im still surprised that in 2023 we can not carer to the drivers who have to pay extortionate rates to park at a setvice station. The leastbwe would appreciate is a working, clean shower facility. Have any of your staff tried to use your showers, they flood, there is no room in them, there is no where to dry yourself or to hang tour clothing other than a single small door peg adequate only for a coat. The UK road network is horrendous we know that, because people dont give a #*#* about what does not affect them. The attitude towards drivers stinks, reported shower to staff and they had NO interest.

Came here on the way down south. Just a quick stop for a quick bite. A sunny day and we had our Bulldog with, so we took a table outside in the picnic area. It was busy, so ordering took a while, but still fine. Had a combo with two fried chicken burgers, wings and two kinds of chips. Two cokes with that. We were happy with the standard here. It was nice and hot. Still crispy and crunchy. Felt freshly prepared. Prices fair. All we looked for and all we expected. A nice quick meal. Would stop here again.

Although the coffee was up to the normal standard, this was far from the relaxing stop we needed having driven from the Midlands. Service was not swift, so a queue developed and even when there were no customers waiting, the constant coming and going of other team members and noisy gossip made it very wearing.

This Quorn x KFC, vegan ‘Imposter’ burger, albeit sad looking with just a dash of mayo and few limp lettuce leaves, delivers a southern-fried flavour with a range of herbs and spices in a soft seeded bun. I did actually enjoy this meat-free option - being a big fan of Quorn anyway - but didn’t enjoy the attached price of 4.29 GBP just for the burger alone! I was told explicitly by the staff at this A14 Services the accompanying fries were not suitable for vegans. Not tremendous customer service by any stretch but it’ll do for a passing visit. So-so overall.

Ok for a quick comfort stop. The usual shops M&S, KFC etc. Toilets in reasonable condition. Lots of roadworks going on in the area but at the time we visited no workmen were in and it was fairly quiet (11am)

Staying at Ramada Inn at Camridge Services and indicated open until 11pm.Went down at 10.15pm and everying closed up.Why ??I apprevaite not very bust but surely you stick to opening hours even if for business customers as worked very late but knowinf KFC would be open for a meal.Now going to bed Hungry as hate McDonalds, except for breakfasts.:-)

My partner had a zinger fillet burger today 05/10/2019 12:55pm - the burger was so pink & raw we politely approached the the gentleman behind the counter to report this issue, the manager came out she explained the situation of the matter, the manager states he doesn’t work in them it kitchen and he has no clue... which I found quite unprofessional & very poor customer service. Absolutely appalling!

Very nice food and at the normal price unlike so many service stations , lots of seating available and free parking too.

I will show as much effort in writing this review as staff show in preparing and serving food and customer service. The end.

Granddaughter didn’t fancy hotel menu so kfc was a treat at an economical price . Quick to get though the queue. Good value

We tend to use this service station when travelling in this area. We have always found ample parking and the Facilties are always clean and easily accessible. There are lots of roadworks going on and getting into the facilities can be a bit of a trek and it’s best to follow the signs rather than rely on satnav. kFC seem to cook the food to Order which is great as it’s fresh and hot. There is never much of a wait

The services is in the middle of a huge infrastructure project and is pretty tricky to get into - it all looks a bit bleak to be honest! Once inside, standard Costa fit out & good service - thank you to Cisle:) Unfortunately no Gluten free porridge :(

So little choice for travellers.. Forced to Xtra Cambridge. A dismal place. Sullen staff. Very little open so no choice unless it's KFC or McDonald's. I went for KFC a bad bad choice. A lacklustre staff member. Awful cold food and covered in fat. Inedible and a total waste of money. Absolutely revolting I took it back and got a shrug of the shoulders. No management to raise concerns with either. Thanks Xtra. You are brilliant.

Ok it was a busy day but tables were not cleared and were piled high with dirty cups etc. They had run out of proper cups and were using paper cups. Service was slow and staff were uninterested. Will not return.

On a coach trip so popped in for a quick snack waited so long to be served and they still got the order wrong was on the coach at this stage so couldn't go back l had items missing so just had to leave it.

We went to Ed’s for burgers. Wish we hadn’t! Waited ages to be served to greasy, unpalatable food. Outrageous price for fries. This place is a pseudo American joint and it’s about as American as “Coronation Street” Slow service is the main feature. These service stations are ghastly and we only stopped out of necessity, but Ed’s is not good!

Used self service that was quick and easy to use then waited about 10 minutes before my order arrived my order was direct of the menu nothing removed or added burger seam hard in a few places and the bun did not seam very fresh I would of taken it back but was already back on the road will not be returning

Check your order before you leave the counter because if not and you are missing something you will be in for a fight to get it. Rude. Food was adequate when we got it

Popped in here on the way back from Gloucestershire. Lots of parking, clean facilities and lots of different food outlets.

Driving London to Leeds and stopped off for some food. We were pleasantly surprised by the wide array of cuisine. Decided on noodles. Noodles were truly poor. My mate found a massive mushroom/ bean thing in his noodles which put us off. I got a milkshake from Ed. The milkshake was better than most and I’d like to add that the employee in Ed’s (probably called ed) was an affable young gentleman that made me feel appreciated and listened to, as a customer.

All the food was Cold and the Manager was very rude to me do not recommend anyone to go there because it is absolutely rubbish

Cambridge services is always busy and we always stop there due to the facilities being great however this time we were shocked. The toilets were filthy and had not beem cleaned in sometime. Also there was no soap in many of the dispensers. The kfc gravy was lukewarm which is odd because normally it is piping hot.

Everytime I visit Costa at the Cambridge 'Extra' Motorway Services on the A14 there is always a long queue. The manager does not seem to be able to keep his staff. The tables are slow to be cleared and are full of cups. The space looks in need of attention. It is often short staffed and the result is a lot of disgruntled customers. Whether a franchise or managed by Whitbread, this particular Costa Coffee needs a shake-up and some positive management, so that staff want to stay. It was the final straw when the cups weren't even filled up properly!

This is a large and busy service station with the usual fast food outlets with queues however we found a bit of sanity and absolute piece in Patisserie Valerie. A quieter and more comfortable seating area which is kept spotless (tables cleared as soon as vacated). A wonderful selection of cakes and savoury items to choose from the display area. Tea was served individually on wooden oval trays consisting of real tea leaves in an infuser pot together with milk and sugar selection (hoorah for "real tea").

Bog standard KFC but lots of missing menu items (krushems, some burgers etc). Staff mostly friendly but one who wouldnt speak - only nod or shake her head - not helpful at all and does not answer your question. Lots of tables to eat at (shared with other outlets) and mostly clean. Not great, but not bad either,

Stopped for lunch and had the rice box with some cheeky chicken bites on the side. Fresh, well cooked and a well presented rice box. Another great KFC outlet.

After a recent visit to friends we called in at Cambridge services, ideally located on the A14, this is one of the new breed of services with everything based on a circle, it had everything , we used Ed"s diner but there was a great choice of places to eat.

Stopped here on our journey, lots of places to eat, lots of space to sit, we varied our choice on the way there and back, however the gents loos pong something awful. They are clean but the smell of them hits you

These service are a major coach stop, the coach bays were full. Inside it was push and shove long queues at all the outlets except one. If we had waited at most our 45 minutes break would have been over, very slow service except for one.

over priced food £28 to stay in truck park with no food voucher all other services give a food voucher it cost me £7.95 for breakfast will never stop there again nor will I buy fuel

Apparently plenty of choice, prices as you'd expect these days. It really is starting to be worth going off into the local town for real food at reasonable prices. Got KFC from bored staff and as usual the chips were almost cold by the time we made it to the car. WH Smith is starting to be a joke the prices they are charging.

This review is based on three trips to the KFC at Cambridge Services on the A14.

We often stop at these services for a quick cup of coffee and a snack. The toilets are clean and the eating area although noisy is pleasant enough with a good choice of outlets including M&S;, McDonald's, WHSmith, Costa Coffee and Patisserie Valerie. What a rip off that is. Chocolate Croissants at £1.55 to take away and a staggering offensive £2.70 to eat in!!

This was the absolute definition of "can't be bothered." 'Cold' drinks kept 'round the back' and presented warm whilst fridge had three cold small drinks in it. I asked if I could have a cold Pepsi and was told that it would be 'put in the fridge while my food was made'. I asked how long the food would take to cool down a litre bottle but the irony was lost, though I did manage to do a deal where I got the three cold drinks lovingly kept for display purposes in the huge fridge. "Do you have knives and forks?" "No." Got them from Patisserie Valerie. This is what's known as 'captive audience service'.

Food is fine but the staff were slow, rude and made tons of mistakes. Eds Dinner is opening soon so will be going there instead

Have eaten here a few times. Usually because there are lots of queues at the other outlets. Quick service and food is ok. Plenty of other places to choose depends how much time you have.

Very busy services. Disappointing queue time as only 1 person taking orders. They were struggling to keep the dining area cleared and clean. Food was as you'd expect.

We'd been travelling back from Alton Towers to Norfolk when we got the urge to pull off the A14 for a break and a KFC. The services themselves are well maintained so thats a plus point.
