KFC in South Bucks

ordered delivery via uber, wrong food, some missing, and the uber driver refers us to the restaurant and the restaurant refers us to the uber driver - never again

We visited for a lunch break 17th August travelling eastwards around midday and the place was a tip. It was a disgrace. Tables were not cleared and wiped, bins were overflowing, there were no staff around to clear…. They were clearly overwhelmed by the conveyor belt of customers. Health and safety may have felt well within their rights to close it down. KFC chicken was tepid and soggy, and it was delivered really quickly (by the inhumane method of automatic ordering), so it must have been hanging around under the lamps for quite some time, and I had to traipse back for a missing dip I had already paid for. The ladies toilets were disgusting; some blocked with toilet paper, fronds of paper all over the cubicle floor along with various liquids?? and inadequate hand dryers. And we paid good money for this! As a result we have vowed never to stop off at a motorway service point ever again.

If there were a prize for the worst KFC in the UK, I suspect this one would win hands down. When I visited in early April 2024, half their ordering machines were broken. We managed to order on one eventually but it wasn’t possible to make a card payment on it, so we then had to queue up for a second time to pay at the till (as if we were in a Soviet shop). Once the two very glum staff had eventually given us our food, the 3-piece meal came with two chicken legs and one minuscule thigh (despite costing £10) and there were no straws, no fork / spoon / spork (even though we’d ordered beans) and no KFC hand wipe. There’s lots of other options at this service station. I suspect all of them are better.

Now for a fast food outlet this did impress me. We called in here on our way home after being at WBA Football watching Aldershot lose 4-1. We were all quite hungry and decided we would opt for the KFC this time as we had eaten at the McDonalds on the way up earlier in the day. Well this was our best choice of the day. The food was all piping hot and really very tasty. When you ask for boneless chicken that's exactly what you get and its great quality and value. The meal deals are superb and we all ate like kings. Very impressed and would certainly eat here again when passing.

rubbish chicken tasted like rubber ! only got 9 chips stone cold anyway so it didn't matter! do not go it is horrible.

We had stopped at the service station and decided we would get something to eat from here. We ordered via the machine which the receipt didn't print out so had to check with the staff whether the order had gone through and that the order was ours. We had the new teriyaki burger which was nice, the chips we had were ok, we had a small gravy which was quite watery and not the best flavour and could have been thicker. The drinks we had seemed to be quite watered down and didn't seem overly fresh. The other food we had was ok, typical KFC quality.
