It certainly deserves its low rating. Unpleasant and inefficient staff and, probably, the worst fries we’ve ever eaten … and we eat quite a lot of fries.

The place is absolutely filthy. Toilets a disgrace. Tables all dirty. Smears and finger marks on all windows, glass and surfaces. It wasn't even busy. Staff were nonchalant and dismissive. Won't return

We visited this branch on Sunday, 25th February. The food was cold, and it took an excessive amount of time to be prepared. The staff appeared disinterested and inattentive. For instance, my son ordered Sprite but was served sparkling water instead. When we inquired about this, they simply apologized and informed us that Sprite was out of stock. I requested a bottle of water for my son, but it was served warm. Upon requesting a replacement, it was placed on the counter rather abruptly. The overall cleanliness of the establishment was lacking, with priority seemingly given to Just Eat and Deliveroo orders over dine-in customers. The restroom was clean. However, there was no hand soap in the dispensers.

I applied for a cook job. Staff seemed nice at interview. Was given a fair amount of e learning to do for before the first day. No problem. Then asked to come in a day early to do more e learning. Atmosphere seemed off the whole time I was there. Met one or two nice people but most were really toxic. Front of house guy made disgusting comments about disabled children. Site was an absolute tip. Put me off KFC. Walked after a few hours. Mainly due to the toxic atmosphere. Assistant manager was a Machiavellian ****. Realising that a big part of the cook's job is removing all of the bruises and broken bones put me off too. The other cooks were sound, though.

This was the worst burger I’ve ever had from KFC. Chicken looked like it had been sitting ages, it was dry and over cooked. Kids meals £4.99 you don’t even get chips you have to add them on, and one fillet? Hardly enough to feed a child so you have to add extras on which they didn’t even give to me! Had to go back and ask for them. Can’t understand why it’s £26 for a large box meal and two kids meals. None of the food was even nice it’s a joke.

Young lady at the counter don't even try to help with order and give us wrong information. Really bad service.

Lovely family tea today, made all the more special by the service provided by John in particular. He went out of his way to be both helpful and pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was also great - what we remember KFC to be like. Tasty sides and lovely hot and succulent chicken. Many thanks again.

Absolute shocking from start to finish. Decided to have a drive thru meal and only 2 cars in front of us. Sat there for about 10 mins before they took our order, no apology for the delay and not welcoming at all, needs to go on a customer care course. Drove around to the window to pay and collect our order and could not believe that as well as the original 2 cars that were in front of me, there were another 2 further in from waiting. It then took another 10 minutes to get to the window to pay and collect the order and our drinks were waiting for us, very warm cokes. We then sat there for another 10 minutes waiting for just 2 fillet burgers and chips. It was then I realised that it was the same guy taking the orders as well as then taking the money and passing on the food. There was no apologies for the delays and when we did receive our food, the chicken fillets were over cooked and the chips were warm and very soft. Shocking and will never go back there again.

Staff are really terrible, rude, hate their job, everything is an effort for them.. really terrible environment to be in. They were blasting music so loud I could not hear my friend sat opposite me, Asked twice to turn it down, but both times were ignored. Food is sub standard, small portions. I am still surprised this place is still in business

The batter on the chicken was soggy, very greasy but the chicken was nice and hot . The chips were cold. The music was loud. The staff were friendly and a lot of food for the money. Just not a good food experience for me.

In the men’s toilets no hand soap, let me them know at the tills the response was “we’re not in charge of the soap” pretty unhygienic makes you wonder how do they wash there hands in the kitchen 🤨, alright scran tho. Should probably have hand washing facility’s in a food outlet?

Have visited here 6 times this year,never once had krushems or a hot drink available,but 3 out of 6 times no gravy,totally unacceptable . This establishments needs a good new manager that can get it into shape.When will the company accept they just havent got it right at so many of there restaurants. Wont be spending our money here again.

Ordered on delivery which took them 30 minutes to accept the order . Then for the food to come 30 more minutes later freezing cold , which is actually a 5 minute drive at best . We spent £25 there and didn’t even receive the food we ordered . We ordered 2 gravy’s and also 2 bbq dips , which neither came in the bag which was paid for. If the company has ran out of these items they should not be on the app to be sold , and even if they do run out they should ring up to ask us for any alternative seeing we have paid for the food which never came . And instead of asking the customer what they would prefer instead or even offer a refund they gave us 4 chips instead of 2 and the popcorn chicken was freezing cold . Only thing that was eatable was 3 piece chicken . And to assume we would want more fries without any sauces baffles me . If there’s no dips then why would we want more fries . And to replace gravy which is a sauce they gave us corn on the cob which to follow was also Luke warm at best . Would not recommend delivering from Kfc marsh Barton . No thought about the paying customers at all . Just lazy and lack of respect for the paying customers which the money goes towards there pay .

This has to be the slowest drive through in the world. It briefly improved a few months ago, Sadly it has slipped back to snail pace. On top of this they often get the orders wrong, today I ordered two large meals and got regular instead. Not good enough! Must do better!

Went through the drive through ordered the gravy mega box, crispy chicken, great gravy, condiments in bag without asking and polite servers.

Absolutely horrendous experience from the start. Approached the drive through to be greeted by a ‘girl’ who had absolutely no manners. Moaned, grunted and sighed at our order which was simply a ‘8piece boneless feast’ Her attitude was clear she didn’t want to be at work which effected our visit. We had been told there would be a 10 minute wait, as to which wasn’t a problem to us. Everything we had asked for, from side to drink seemed to be such a problem to the ‘girl’ we had on the other end of the order point, which at that point put us off giving over any money for the food therefore we said Thankyou and goodbye. Something needs to change within this branch as it isn’t the first time I’ve received a bad experience. I will not be returning.

I found the staff to be very rude here, I had to wait over 10 mins when I asked excuse me how long do I expect to wait I was told “I’m busy” to be told if I don’t like it to cancel the orders so I did & left. The time before that I visited they never had lids for the cups and as I drive I needed a lid. They didn’t offer alternatives & they get rude when you ask them! Not good customer service skills at all. You never get a correct order the time before I went in they gave me the wrong burger & had a go at me for their mistake! Fuming that’s the last time I EVER go to KFC.

This is my first ever review as I never felt the need until tonight! Run by a bunch of kids!! Met at the drive-through by a kid with no manners scratching his head constantly who could not get the order right or even care. Picked up our food wrong order, the mess on the floor and kitchen was disgusting…. food and food boxes kicking around on the floor.All visible while you wait at the window. Park up in the car park and the food stone cold and not even half a portion of fries and corn that had been cooked 2 and a half hours before. Go in and kids in the back mucking around and only one girl wearing a mask! Who was looking stressed bless her. I can't comment about inside KFC as we only went to the drive thru - wish we had sat inside seeing as there was one car in front of us who was placing an order but took ages, turns out they can taken their food without paying full price as they kept cancelling / changing orders.When we did eventually get our food, it was hot and tasted good and enjoyed by all in our group.

Visited here for the first time in ages. Very impressed with the quick service and friendly staff. Chicken was moist, but not greasy.Love the dried. Real fries with skin on a real improvement on the regular fries.

Popped in with a friend. Well decorated, clean tables and loos which isn't always the case in other restaurants. Quick service although it was lunchtime and very quiet. The drive thru seemed busy. All in all we had a good experience.

Did the drive through KFC, it is still Incredible as to how long this takes, exceedingly slow at taking orders, think there is just one man doing everything! Great chicken though!!!! Service has not improved since the last time I came here.

I actually wish I could give 0 for the service.Went in for lunch and waited for about 10 minutes with a dozen other people in the queue as we were totally ignored by the 4 staff members who prioritised the orders for the drive through. We decided that we couldn’t be bothered to wait for someone to decide to start serving the people in the restaurant and walked out. I feel the service in KFC in general is poor,but I have to say this was the worst yet. I won’t bother to visit here again.

We last went to this KFC about 12 months ago and were very disappointed with the service. We decided to give it another try tonight on the way back from a weekend away. We were served by a young man called Aidan. What a change in service!!! He is a real asset to KFC. Greeted us warmly, explained the menu really well so we could tailor it to our needs. Worked quickly and just had a lovely disposition about him. He seemed happy in his work and genuinely happy to serve us. As we were leaving I asked him his name and said I wanted to give feedback about him and thanked him for the way he had served us. To the powers that be, I think you have manager material there. Nurture him and treat him as well as he treats your customers.

I ordered a 10 piece wicked variety bucket with a large gravy and 2 corn. When the order was delivered, there was 2 small beans and 2 fries (we were expecting 4 fries). I phoned KFC customer service and was directed to Just Eat customer service, talking to Just Eat, we were informed that that you don't get any fries when ordering with them (meaning you pay the Just Eat charge with fries), the restaurant had for whatever reason, swapped the sides we requested for things we didn't even want. My mother in law only eats KFC with the gravy, none of us eat beans, resulting in nearly half of the order going to waste. There's a £3 charge to order through Just Eat and they thought a £2.50 refund was an acceptable. Moral of the story, if you want fried chicken, go out and get it yourself, otherwise it will be an expensive waste of time.

Have been to this KFC a few times, and the service is so slow. It takes ages to get served as there is only ever one person taking orders, and they often are bagging them up too.

Came here on a QUIET Sunday evening, staff were stood laughing and joking to each other, there are currently 4 other people in here waiting for orders, that’s it.. and every table looks like this.. I had to clear one off myself for my partner and I to sit down.. disgusting.

We keep coming here and everytime my ratings for this restaurant has never been more than 3 stars .....sadly today it still is 3 stars.

I don’t often visit a KFC but my nephew is a fan and as an end of summer treat we went. It’s a part drive through and seated restaurant, we queued I might add it was very busy there were several tables not cleared and food on the floor, they looked short staffed and a little flustered, eventually reached the counter ordered given an order number and told keep an eye on the order screen. Watched & Watched our number moved up and down seemed smaller orders & drive in were being served first people who had arrived before us were seated and eating, , then ours was up went over to collect, run out of serviettes Oh!!

Every time we’ve been in there, It’s been awful. Not really sure why we’ve been back since the first time. Coffee machine has been broken for about 6 months and never any staff.

Only 1 order before ours! There's was wrong after waiting ages! Got ours about 15 mins later! Was cold! Food was average but nothing special! Every time I give this place a second chance I’m always let down. Two visits they closed an hour early no excuse. Then once closed early because of technical problems.

Arrived to find the drive through closed, no explination just cones blocking it off. Served warm drinks as the ice machine was broken.... The bins outside were overflowing looked awfull. Wont be going back.

Arrived after being stuck in traffic. Qued until person in front was served and server said I’ll be back in a minute. He then stood waiting on food to come from back to give to people already served which is fair enough if food is there but when it its not and server is being bone idle without even a Word of apology. you either have to wait 10-15 minutes for the food, even when the place is empty, or the place is just closed with no explanation what so ever.

We called here on the very hot bank holiday Monday. To find that the crushem machine was out of order. No sign on the counter. Didn't find out until we reached the counter to be served- 15 minutes of waiting.

I have visited this KFC on a few occasions and each time I have been disappointed with different parts of the experience. Quite often the chips are cold even when eating in the restaurant.

Food was good, tried a rice box and would definitely have again.

Without doubt the most revolting kfc I've ever had! The "coating" was just like fish batter,absolutely no flavour, fire tasted like spicy cardboard strips and the chicken VERY pink!!!!!!

Visited today with my daughter and friends, 20 mins to get served by the one person on the till at 6:15pm on a Saturday and waited 30 mins for my food to actually be served, there was one man making up all orders for drive thru and restaurant! The woman on the till was very polite and friendly just a shame she was the only one! As for the guy making up the orders who missed 2 things off and I had to go back to the counter again, stood right in front of me and said the other member of staff 'what does she want?!' Whilst pointing at me! Well why dont you ask me, the customer, next time and stop being so rude! Sort it out and get some more staff! Appalling!

Can't complain about the food but each time I come in a busy evening/weekend they seem to close the drive thru and seem under staffed causing massive delays to get your food.

Nothing wrong with KFC meals but the drive through wait was a joke, it took us approx 20 minutes to get through the drive through and it wasn't even busy. Definately never going to visit again

Surprised by the reviews on here about the long waits, I have never even queued in this KFC, but usually visit on a weekday lunchtime so not sure if this makes a difference!

After choosing KFC rather than all the other fast food outlets on the estate we were left disappointed.

Usually when we visit KFC we like to go through the Drive thru but on this occasion stopped off to eat inside - i wish we hadnt.

Went in, ordered big variety bucket and extra hot wings. Asked for 8 dips, the chap at the counter seemed to have trouble counting how many dips do I get for free and for how many he should charge me, but that is not the main problem...

The queue got longer and longer...the staff seemed to disappear even further. The chicken was tasty, but cold chips, and a Christmas burger that had the minuscule amount of everything was just shocking. The staff didn't seem bothered. No urgency or care for customer. Won't bother to visit again. Don't think they would care anyway!!

We went to the new KFC on Marsh Barton, but the drive through was closed as apparently they didn't have enough staff to run it. We ordered our meals but they arrived cool by the time we started eating them they were cold. Come on KFC you usually do much better!

Arived at midday on Sunday 2nd October; Drive through closed; Que from the serving counter to the door. OK Kids Hungry will wait; 20 Mins later got served; Had already cleaned the table we chose as no one in the dinning area cleaning up. Ordered food, no hot drinks availabe, no Crushams available and no fanta orange drink available - Only drink available Coke of which I never drink so poped across road to Starbucks for a tea to have with meal on my return. Chicken bucket arived and portions looked under cooked; hot wings good - Wife says domnt make a fuss as staff realy bussy; people now queing outside on the pathway. Dident enjoy the meal and for a brand new KFC facility its operational service has let it down; The parting gift of course was the Chef outside having a cigeret in public view. Sory wont return again. Stephen.

KFC at marsh Barton exeter is very accessible. Eat in or drive threw. Good humoured staff. Good service. With minimum of wait. Been here several times easy choice. And chicken cooked as it should be the KFC WAY.

What a disgusting, filthy, horrible fast food establishment, I can't think of many worse to be fair and I've eaten at the golden horn in town, Firstly why is the place being run by kids? I waited 30 minutes to be served and a further ten to receive my warm food, chips were so limp that a splint wouldn't have saved them. Seats covered in week old ketchup, every bin over flowing and it was dead in there, I can see why now. I couldn't fine a single reason as to why it was so filthy as there were enough staff, and it's brand new, maybe the kids running the place were more interested in playing Pokemon go than actually doing what there paid £3 an hour to do. There attitude to work was pathetic, It's a dive, should have put a Burger King there.

Just popped into this kfc. The place was not busy at all but the queues and wait times were ridiculous. After queuing to place our order for our two medium pop corn chicken (nothing else) for 15 minutes we then had to join another queue for another 15 minutes to get the actual food.

The drive through was really long so we thought we would go inside and we were third in the queue. 20 minutes later we got served. 20 minutes! The drive through was also gone by the time we got out... They were more worried about the drive through being served than those inside. No real apology for lack of service.

Visiting Exeter for the day and popped in here to grab something quickly. Great customer service and good quality food. Would definitely come back.

I thought I would try this new establishment as the usual one we go to at Digby kept getting my order wrong so thought I would try this one.

Last time I visited here was 4 years ago. Nothing much has changed except that the place was filthy. Food was spread over the floors and the area where the trays are left had a open dustbin with food and cardboard overfilling on to the floor. To make matters worse the door to the compartment had a broken hinge and was wide open. Just watched people piling more rubbish on top which fell out on to the floor. The areas close to the large windows were extremly dirty. A health inspector would have a field day.

Just called into this new establishment as we were late getting home and needed something to eat. This was our first visit. Very good parking and a very busy drive through. There were only four other customers inside but the drive through was very busy. The food was very hot and tastey. On the downside the waste bins were all overflowing with cartons cups and bits of waste food on the floor. All of the tables needed wiping and looking not good. luckally my wife had some wet wipes in her handbag. So she could wipe down the table we sat at. Even the floor hadn't been swept for a while. That said the food was good but they need to sort out keeping the place looking clean we noticed as we left that the tables out side were also dirty. As we only live within 5 minutes walk of the property for them to keep our custom they will need to sort this out.

We popped in here at 12 pm mid day last Saturday after a trip to bear feet. Easily walk-able and lovely and clean. The only thing that put us off was the exceptionally loud man behind the counter who was obviously trying really hard to act cool and joke around. Even the lady behind the counter looked embarrassed.
