Called in for food before a movie. Very quiet Tuesday afternoon. Ordered our food (easy enough to do) and served within minutes. The two staff members serving looked bored and it felt like we’d interrupted their boredom by ordering food. However, both meals not that hot, I’d imagine they’d been sat there for a while waiting for customers. Doubt we’ll be back.

Abrupt, rude, unprofessional. Lack of knowing I had to add sauce to one burger as was plain.. refused refund Claimed I could get same food again when back in store when that isn’t local to me as I had a friend drive me back from that area gave a code to get equivalent food when back but food so disappointing I don’t want to go back anyway just my money back as I won’t be having the food from there now.. said they were understaffed and couldn’t tell my friend when at drive through there was no gravy to get the the side window to then be informed there was non.. sounds like small things but when added up all comes to one big mess.. I’ve worked in hospitality for 11 years and know when service and quality is bad..

Absolutely horrendous. My husband & I called in as we were pushed for time. It is a long time since we visited this particular venue, but we wont be returning. The chicken was over cooked, extremely dry & tasteless. The chips were the same, with far too much salt added. Do they not know salt is bad for some people. Absolutely awful & I would not recommend. However, we have to give a shout out to a young worker in there called "Reisa" (I apologise for the spelling, but I'm unfamiliar with the name, so I hope it's correct. I know it's pronounced "Rice-a). Thank you young lady, you were a wonderful help.

Yes it’s fine ideal for families ,food was nice, Blue light card discount could be better, used to be 25 percent , staff are very young and courteous always pop in when am in the vicinity.

Awful. Staff are not organised. Don’t care about customer service. They all looked miserable and chaotic. Not once did any staff member look at customers, just called numbers, slid trays and went away. Got half an order. Customer service replied once. No refund for items not provided, but paid for. Customer service clearly have never been in Metrocentre KFC as they say staff usually have a high standard of service. Very poor in all areas.

They lost our order so regardless of the fact we showed the manager the bank transaction, nothing was offered to correct the situation. Were told to wait for a refund through the bank...... I have never seen anything like it -

A joke Gateshead branch wanted regular chicken no drumsticks told no problem ,then meal come only drumsticks asked for refund told sysy down waited but had to leave asked for voucher told no then tried to call and email a joke please try to call or email impossible I drove to the shop asked manager to give me a number to make a complaint or email address was told they had to get permission to give me this 😂😂😂how pathetic do not use this company ounce they have your money you are not needed

The service and the food were equally as bad as each other (so to speak) First it took me 10, minutes to order as the lady on the till could not understand a word I said , poor English was spoken back too, nothing at all against her but why is she even working in here if I had to repeat myself over and over again, and of course got the order wrong , and to add to that it was simply the worst I have ever had at any KFC... If this to continue operating they need to really dig deep and think about every aspect of the whole customer experience.

Absolutely disgusting service the orders were backed up sitting getting cold I had ordered tea but they said I didn’t then a “Lauren” jumped in and started being mouthy so I said is the manager in ..”I am the manager” and started waving in front of all the customers and saying bye.. 4 other customers said that was disgraceful I ended up with no drink even though I paid .. well done kfc for employing a manager with no customer service… would never come here again

Ordered food via screens to be greeted by a member of staff 5 minutes later brandishing a cloth and bottle saying you ordered wot dink .And I mean wot dink meaning hot drink I replied yes to be told we have no hot drinks .then was ushered to the front to then have to wait another 5 minutes to obtain a refund do not use this KFC never have what you order and staff are so not interested in the customer it is a joke .Go to McDonald's better class of service

Terrible experience, I ended up leaving with no food because the staff took just uner 10 minutes to even acknowledge me at the till, I had waited at the front desk to place my order as it was quiet (I usto just order at the self service machine). I wasn't acknowledged and just ignored while two women packed one takeaway. As a full time waitress myself customer service is extremely important and ironically quite easy to deliver, things such as serving your customers. After I had left to wait with my boyfriend who has ordered on the screen the old woman behind me still didn't get acknowledged for another 5 minutes and had to literally ask will one of yous serve me which she was responded with a careless and patronising "she will when she is ready darling". Awful experience not to mention how quiet it was . Lazy staff, bad attitude, Bare minimum wasn't even met.

We’ve never really had any issues with the food and it’s certainly better than Popeye’s downstairs however after tonight we won’t be visiting this particular branch of KFC again. I know it’s not really the staff’s fault as they can’t help who comes in but tonight it was full of stupid kids mucking about and messing around, I was sat in a booth and some teenagers behind decided to start beating the s*** out of each other repeatedly and banging into the booth and moving the entire seats, I switched seats to avoid being bumped or hit and this only made them worse to the point my husband had to shout over to them to stop as they almost bumped into me! They looked embarrassed and apologised but the staff did absolutely nothing to help, I was hoping one of them would have come over and said to the lads to either behave to respect other diners or leave but they didn’t, to be fair they were rushed off their feet and were probably too scared to confront them or say anything as you never know what kids might turn around and do these days however it is unacceptable to allow this behaviour in your restaurants! Because my husband was forced to take matters into his own hands and raised his voice this unfortunately meant that we were then stared at by other diners for the duration of our meal. We quickly ate and both agreed we wouldn’t be back, I stared the other diners down and said in future we will go to the KFC located outside next to TGI Fridays where you get served quicker and there’s no stupid kids! You also usually have to wait at least half an hour at this KFC for your food. Never again! The food was also tasteless today!

No good at all and its not good at all waiting for my meal for 20minutes because l was hungry and you didn't deliver my food in time for me and you need to be faster bringing out peoples meals and drinks

So I ordered a zinger burger, I’ve had no issues with them whatsoever I quite like them, but I’ll not be eating another one any time soon as it had a lot of pink inside of it, I’m not talking about the fact that the marinade had dyed the chicken as it wasn’t that sort of pink, absolutely disgusting genuinely felt ill

Went here to get a bite to eat for my partner who was having a major dietetic crash thought we could sit for 5mins while ordering food. Yet we get thrown out even though she was having a major dietetic crash 2.4 was her reading. Never have ii ever heard so much disgust and more P***sed off for the fact that i got kicked out just because she was having a dietetic crash. Above all else the chicken was still bleeding inside. Who's actually got the qualifications to actually be a chef in that place above all else wheres the respect gone in this world.

Absolutely disgraceful, waited 20 minutes and ended up leaving at the end. Took 10 minutes for 1 family to order at the counter, couldn’t pay at the Machine, and I eventually left. The person at the queue just stared at the family and the family just sat looking careless at the queue. Never coming here Again, I hope all the staff are fired. Do not come here, packed McDonalds is better.

Gave the woman “Elizabeth”a £10 note when paying for something £3.50 she gave me a dirty look and repeated £3.50 to me like i was an idiot i proceeded to give her a ten pound note and she gave me another dirty look and got the change out 🙄 not impressed kfc

It took 20 mins for the food to be served. The chips were cold and soggy. If you’ve ever seen gold rush with Charlie Chaplin he cooks and eats a shoe, my burger tasted exactly how you’d imagine the show would, dry and tasteless.

I have just found it terribly hard to get the attention of the staff at the counter of KFC. I repeatedly yelled out hello and hello and got blatantly ignored by a young man.

this place is the definition of 'fast food'! barely even had my order out of my mouth and it had arrived! Simple good grub also!

There was a lot of self service boards available to use after you’d sanitised your hands but we never saw the actual screens being cleaned or sanitised! Granted this may be impractical but I don’t know the rules in the fast food outlets post lockdown!?...

I’ve took my daughters twice this week , However today I was quite shocked at the men’s urinals absolutely terrible, the floor also had wee on , I went in the morning Sunday 12 January 2020 puts me right off my food ,also I noticed dropped food under the tables , the food was lovely though,so was the lady serving,

I visited here recently and was utterly astounded to see one person on the till and one person putting the orders together during a half term holiday, when the place was absolutely packed with a queue literally out of the door and around the corner....

Visited on Saturday 19th October, we just wanted something quick and easy for lunch, we ordered via the electronic machines, however lots of tables free, but stacks of people waiting for meals. We waited awhile for two wraps and chips. When we tasted the chips...

Tables dirty and full of leftover food, floors dirty and food all over them, bins full, service friendly but slow

Went to KFC for lunch and the food was nice however...no napkin we were given blue roll from girl behind counter there was no salt etc out also place was filthy. Food all over floor, bins full and dirty tables. This isnt the first time...

Went through the 'drive through' KFC next to the Metro Centre today, & was very please with how nice our bonless meal was. Service was fast and serving staff at the window were polite and helpful. Fast and tasty food just what we needed!

Despite the long queues when we visited recently, the service was very speedy and efficient, the staff polite and pleasant, the seating areas clean and tidy and the food served hot.

Called in our way past to do xmas shopping,never again! Place was filthy,tables covered with previous diners left overs,food on the floor,under tables etc. Staff were so slow,very unenthusiastic,felt like they were doing you a favour serving you. Queue was very long,half a dozen people in front of us left,complaining about the length of time waiting. We were starving so got our food and found a relatively clean table. Chicken was hot but that’s about it. Need the staffs backside kicked, loads of better people desperate for work. Management need to read all the negative remarks and do a clean sweep on the shop!

not enough staff to see to customers and queue was long and very time consuming for those in the queue as customers waiting were getting very agetated but the staff were handling things well and the food was hot when served and the place was clean at this visit but toilet needs a bit more attention to be cleaned but apart from that it's not been to bad in here the day as long as the foods OK why bother much about any thing else just be patient with there being less staff

There was a queue on arrival, service slower than expected from this fast food chain. As others have said needs cleaning. As KFC is my preference for FF places was disappointed, was advised after being given food that they had run out of mayonnaise and that their machine was not working for loyalty cards so could not add my points. Shame as this is conveniently located near cinema. Suggest better management of the place ensuring well stocked, with working equipment and helpful staff.

Very scruffy. Food dropped on floor and not enough staff to clean up. Awful customer service from someone calling himself manager...arrogant and unapologetic. Unhygienic. Don't take my word for it read other reviews.

Staff dont look happy, service terrible, slow for a fast food restaurant. Restaurant seems always untidy.

Probably the worst quality KFC we've ever had, that along with the not so brilliant customer service, my wife took her chicken back and was snarled at "what's up with it like" Won't be going back, that's for sure

This is a review of the blue mall KFC. We tend to eat in here because they are very busy and so the chicken is usually fresh and there's a bustling atmosphere.Today we took a takeout of a 6piece bargain bucket £10.79. got it home to the hungry family and there were no chips. Manager offered us chips if we drove back to the metrocentre or a £4 voucher to cover the value of the chips.This is barely adequate customer service. Covering the value of the chips is not the point - the point is supposed to be cover for the bad experience.

I am writing this while waiting in drive thru. I have now been in queue 20 mins!! I originally was at front. No cashier on window to take order so I tooted to get attention. Didn't work so tooted again. Still no sign of anyone so drove round to collection window where a girl advised short staffed and someone would go on window. So annoyed I drove back round to the end of queue. Got served by ignorant girl then I had to wait for food. I have not been waiting 30 minsTerrible customer service. I'm fuming!!

This one is near my office so I stupidly keep coming back hoping they will get it right one day. But today is the last straw. The place is dirty, always a huge wait, the burgers look thrown together by a 2 year old. Today they had run out of cheese and they got my order wrong. I ordered large but it was put through as regular. They have never got my order right here. I always have a long wait and then the did is crap.

Felt uncomfortable eating my food in such a dirty environment.Not a clean table to be seen. Half eaten food everywhere and even the seating was filthy.Absolute disgrace. Manager showed no interest and should be sacked.

Fresh cooked chicken all the time, not dry like some places. served with a smile, wish they were all like this

Food was nice but to be honest I was gutted. Never had the best thing in it my gravy when I got home. Also no wings and no pop corn chicken. Gutted to say the least

The batter on the chicken was crispy and tasted like it had been there quite a while, but apart from this it was okay. It filled a hole I guess. I've been here in the past and it was better, I assume because it was quieter when I went on this occasion the chicken had been left longer which meant it was crispier.

Visited here with a few friends for lunch and it was disgusting!we queued for 25 mins then a very young cashier served us, she got my drink order wrong and the man putting the chicken in the meals dropped my meal on the floor so they had to get me another one ! Eventually we sat down at a table which was not cleaned and the young cleaner was making no effort to clean our table after asking him once ! I opened my meal to find greasy chicken with a few scabby chips a mini popcorn chicken and yet again the wrong drink, I took it back to the woman and she said she was busy come back later so I sat down and had that drink ! When I bit into the chicken it was very tasteless and very greasy inside so much as you could see the oil in the chicken breast! I leave my meal while my other friends finish theirs and when my friend opens his meal he finds that the boneless box he ordered was intact anything but boneless, he took it back and got a refund! I went to the toilets to find them in a terrible state All in all this was a terrible lunch and it is a terrible restaurant and the staff are even worse especially the cleaning staff!

Not a particularly well run KFC. Stopped for dinner after a day shopping in the Metro. Service was quick enough but there were no buns available, with tortillas offered as an alternative. Then it turned out that there were other items ordered that they had run out of. Finally the actual order, as amended, was wrong. Tables not cleared or cleaned. Not impressed.

This restaurant is ok for a quick bite to eat but I was a bit worried about the state of the toilets they where filthy and the tables looked liked they haven't been changed for a while.This place needs a good deep clean hence to say I took my food home.

Had lunch at KFC on ground floor of Yellow Mall. The service is pathetic - order taken by apathetic staff. No receipt which has order number on given. Staff shout out order number when ready - didn't know my order number even though I asked for my receipt. I was totally ignored. Finally received our food and had to find and clear a table ourselves!!Following the meal we visited the toilets - totally disgusting. This place is not worthy of the KFC name.

My wife and I visited KFC felling today at about 14:30 but we hadn't been for a long time approximately 9years !!! We were served by one of the most cheerful, polite, happy and helpful young women we have ever been served by in a fast food establishment. On the receipt we got from her it said LORRAINE and the young woman who served us had extremely short hair but no name badge like the others had (that's what we can remember) . As soon as we approached the counter she welcomed us with "hello there sir And madam can I help you??" Huge smile very polite, it was wonderful. We diddnt know what we wanted but LORRAINE asked what kind of thing we "fancied" then went on to tell us about some of the options we could both have and we took her advice and we were not dissapointed, my wife especially enjoyed her rice box and the extra hot wings she suggested to us and we ate all 8, delicious!! All the way through us ordering and waiting for our food (which was about 3-4 minutes because they were waiting for the hot wings) LORRAINE was extremely polite and ALWAYS had a smile on her face trying to cater to us and the others that were in the que and getting ice creams for the children that came to the counter. Another young lady turned round and put our food on the counter and said quite simply and plainly "there you go wicked meal and rice box" no smile, no eye contact, no apology for the wait and proceeded to turn back round and continue an unwork related conversation. LORRAINE saw this came to where the tray had been put and then gave us our meals and drinks and said "there you go sir I am sorry about the little wait but I really hope you enjoy your meals and hopefully we see you again soon and you could try something new again, next time". Marvellous!! This visit was brilliant and watching her smile and being cheerful, even when clearing the bins in your dining area and clearing table, made this a very enjoyable experience and needless to say we will most definitely be back and hope we are served by LORRAINE again. My wife has said to mention though that some of the other women wearing black coats were more interested in chatting about their hangovers and boys and hair and going out, leaning on counters and not doing much which is disappointing considering the service our young lady gave. In the whole time we were in KFC the young woman who served us must have been out in the dining area at least 4-5 times and each time communicating (with a smile) to the children and their parents and apologising if scraping the chairs was disturbing peoples meals, she was back and fourth with bin bags full of rubbish, clearing tables and serving customers, getting ice creams!! She truly was a pleasure to watch. We just thought that despite some of the reviews the felling bypass KFC has got dosent mean that all staff are the same. If every visit will be like today's then we will defintely be going back!!

Since a recent refurbishment this KFC is a cleaner, brighter, more pleasant place to be than ever before. Food good, nice and clean, friendly staff. Thumbs up.

Despite all the other bad reviews I've never had a problem here. Always been served quickly and the food has always been nice.

We Took our Grandsons for KFC at The Metro Centre, right I know it's always busy but I feel more effort should be given to the state of the tables in the restaurant. Your literally sat playing with fries at your feet and yogurt or sauce all over the table. The food can be hit or miss sometimes. We tend to use KFC very sparsely and normally to treat our Grandchildren

This is for the branch in the yellow section of the Metrocentre.I don't know what was worse; the dirty restaraunt, dirty kitchen, cold and badly thrown together sandwich slathered in ketchup, the totally flat Pepsi or the utterly miserable, yet pushy woman who served me. It couldn't really get any worse unless the fries had been cold. Crap.

We visited here for an early tea. We don't eat at KFC too often because of the way the product is cooked. This KFC is a standard model, situated directly on the mall. The food, service, and general cleanliness were all fine. Price is compartitive with other KFC units. It got quite busy, but the staff moved things along nicely.

Called into KFC METROCENTRE as we had been shopping! On walking into the establishment I could not help but notice the state of the floor! There were chips, bits of chicken, straws and napkins everywhere! The place was generally very untidy and looks dirty! Not a place that you would wish to sit down and eat! My partner waited in the queue whilst I visited the ladies! Seriously! They look like they had never been cleaned in months! The door locks hardly locked, toilet paper strewn everywhere and to top it off the hand dryer was broken! We just got a crushem and left without buying food. Couldn't sit in that dirty untidy mess to eat! Total put off!

Visited with my husband on a Sunday afternoon. Waited 15mins to get served. Waited 5more on food which was cold. Every table was disgusting and the chairs where covered in crumbs and grubby. Really disappointed as my local KFC is half the size with hardly any staff but is always spotless!!

Good value for money. Restaurant filthy again. My kids love their snack boxes which are great value. I take them when we go shopping at the Metro centre. Every time we go to either KFC in the shopping centre they are both filthy.

We visited the metro centre for the day, decided to choose KFC, as fast food, convenient, located upstairs, it was very clean pleasant seating area. We had the meal deal, food was tasty, well presented and hot. The staff were pleasant, helpful and friendly. Would recommend for a quick snack.

Family visit for lunch. The food was pretty average at best. In fact poor compared to many KFC's. The service was ok but the tables were quite dirty. Will probably not return.

Only visited during school holiday to please my grandchild. Was not expecting much, but got even less. While the chicken elements were fine, the other bits were poor. The fries were cold. I ordered a salad and when I reached the table, I realised there was no dressing and no cutlery. When I raised this with the staff they simply stated they had run out of dressings and gave me two spoons.Plain salad with no dressing is rather boring!
