Gorgeous fish n chips (scollops too). Scraps very generous.Price wise brilliant!Would definitely recommend.Anything left over reheated in air fryer....still as light and fresh as the day it was fried.Absolutely gorgeous.

Best fish and chips in Stanley and Outwood West Yorkshire. Martin and his sister run a great fish and chip shop. Outstanding value.

Myself and the wife visited on the way home from work as we had heard good things. I must admit, when I first perused the menu I had a strong inclination towards Kev’s jumbo sausage, but the wife said I had to have fish instead. The selection of soft drinks is amazing : dandelion and burdock, cherry cola, limeade and American cream soda among just some of the treats available. But the main event was the jumbo cod and chips, liberally splashed with vinegar and salt, with a couple of sachets of tomato ketchup for good measure and a few onion rings on the side. It all tasted so fresh I had to go outside at one point and check that we weren’t at the seaside, and that the fish hadn’t just been unloaded from a fishing trawler and cooked for our delectation. However, obviously this was not the case, as we are in Wakefield many miles from the sea, lol! Kev - we will be back!

We work close to this excellent local chippy and usually go at least once a week. Good size portion of fish with a light crispy batter is really good and worth a try if you live in or are visiting the area. Smiley friendly staff (owners) Spam fritter (I know this is really bad for the flab) but these are great too if you like that sort of thing :O) yum yum yum

Great fish and chips. Always call here on way home from work for a lovely meal. Always been great for kids meals too. Even now they have grown up they still prefer this fish shop. Can always tell sign of a good fish shop they have been in the village for years.
