Went for the first time tonight, what a great place. Really friendly owner who definitely takes pride in his food and shop. Great prices, takes card, makes his own tartar sauce and has parking! Would definitely recommend.

Excellent food, service, and pricing. The young lady at the cash register was delightful. This was my first experience at a "Chippy" and I thoroughly enjoyed an authentic experience. The fish and chips were cooked to perfection and the portions were large. The mushey peas were new to me and were very tasty. I would highly recommend going to Carleton Fisheries. Especially if you haven't had an authentic Chip shop experience.

Absolutely fantastic. My family always get fish and chips on a Friday so it goes without saying, I've tried a lot of fish and chips shops. However, I've never had any as succulent and delicious as the fish and chips made in this establishment. This is the pinnacle of quality fish and chips.

Really friendly and helpful staff. Best Fish and Chips around. I would especially recommend the fish bites, which are really moist inside and crisp outside, and you get loads in a large portion. One portion of chips will do two normal servings, and they make their own tartar sauce.

Owners Mum makes the pies, we sat in an ate ours. Good vibes all round, value and decent food and such friendly staff. Found this place via google maps and so pleased we did.

Everything was delish and crispy, even after a 10min walk home - the cod, chips, battered sausage, homemade tartar & spicy curry sauces. I'm normally a "just at the seaside" eater but will defo be returning!

I would highly recommend this Fish & Chip shop now that it is under new management. Lovely thin crispy batter on the Fish. Chips are perfect & not greasy at all. We've had Fish & Chips from here twice now in the past few weeks. I would highly recommend the Spicy Curry Sauce, the homemade Tartar Sauce & the Fish Cakes. All nicely presented Paper Bags too.

Thoroughly enjoyed lunchtime fish and chips. Perfectly cooked, no grease! And complementary tartare sauce, my fave! Never been here before and came on recommendation. Will defo come again very soon.

Have visited twice in as many weeks now, I had a fish butty on both occasions and it was beautifully cooked, nice crispy batter that didn't hold all the grease and tasted delicious, my husband had chips the first week and chips and parsley fishcake this week and he was extremely happy with his order too. We normally treat ourselves once a week at the Wetherby Whaler but these were far better so I think we've probably changed our takeaway now.

Do not waste your money. Order was wrong . Food was inedible . We have just wasted £15.

Lovely fish&chips I will call again

Years ago they were the best in ponte, after many owners it has now returned with the previous owners, now back to the original quality fish is pure white, tip try the spicy curry sauce it is fantastic, ENJOY.

Under new ownership, popped in for some chips and they were lovely, looking forward to trying other stuff.

WELL, TEETHING PROBLEMS SORTED NOW, CHIPS R BLOODY GAWWJUSS, R RACH IS A SERIOUS REGULAR LOL, BUT WELL DUN LIAM, KEEP UP TH GOOD WORK X I have to say HONESTLY that i much preferred fish and chips when JAS & BOBBY HAD IT. .. ( and that's not just because they're my friends ) and 2 sincere and lovely people. JUST A SHAME THAT fish shop is abit out of the way for people to go to, e.g. all Chequefield.. , Harewood.., Willow Park,.. Cobblers,.. Areas, because it would have been ridiculously busy. Put it down near willow park shops and the other 2 chippys wouldn't have had a look in... it's only place my other alf would have fish from ( N HE IS NOT FUSSY, he would eat $##t if it wa coated in bbq sauce) Had t b JAS & BOBBYS FISH. So that sez it all.... soz new owners,bt i av t giv my honest opinion. YOU NEED YOUR OWN FOOD SHOP NOW BOBBY & JAS,( i tasted their own cooked indian food, & my sister n brother-in-law just about live on indian food ( th proper hot spicy stuff n all) uff,. N Bobby has taken them sum of his cooking, ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ so wot u waitin 4 Bobby :-)

Carleton Park Fisheries was taken over by myself Lyn White and my son Liam White on Monday 8th May 2017. We have made some changes to food, beverages and opening times and would greatly appreciate your feedback. If in the past you have been disappointed with either food, customer service given, opening times or all 3, I can only apologise and ask that you give my son and myself, the opportunity to serve you again but with food of a high standard and offering an excellent customer service. We do have a slightly different recipe for the batter now but the fish and potatoes are from the same suppliers as those used by Bobby and Jas.
