Bracken Hill Fisheries in Wakefield

First time having a Chippy T from here after being recommended by a friend and couldn't fault it , service was excellent and the fish n chips n Yorkshire caviar ( mushy peas ) tasted superb and weren't greasy at all , certainly visit again . Service was very quick & efficient to serve up excellent food .

After a long drive to collect a parcel I was feeling quite hungry. Very pleased to find a chippy . Parking on site. Nice lady served me a big portion of chips a fish and mushed peas and a drink . Had them open and sat in the car to eat them . Very tasty food I would go again but would be 145 mile round trip . But I've marked it on the map incase I find myself up that way again

Fantastic fresh good quality fish and huge portions of chips make this definitely the best village chippy. It is also the best value for money. I only visit the other chippy if I fancy scampi as this one doesn't offer it which is it's only downfall.

Used to be a good chip shop now not so good everything too Greasy took one bite of the fish and binned it. Absolutely will not go again ever

What can I say, bought my dad a special, large fish and he absolutely loved it. No grease whatsoever. Friendly staff. Definitely a weekly treat for him. Best around, simples xx

Fish and chip supper last night chips were just out of fryer so were perfect I had fish bits not fish but was very nice the batter was crispy and not too thick great value for money staff are very polite and friendly .I will be visiting again I can highly recommend a visit.

This is a handy fish and chip shop. It’s not open all the time and the food can be abit greasier then other fisheries but it is cheaper to reflect that.

Nice little fish shop called on way back from Victoria garden centre on way home.

Ordered 125 chip butties for a group of runners in the village, all was full of chips & packed individually, bread cakes nice & fresh. Chips was hot, light & fluffy. All made on time & gave us come peas & curry sauce which was nice surprise when we unpacked the butties. Will definitely be going back for large quantities as well as family dinners. With speedy service & friendly staff this is the best chippy in Ackworth, don't know of any chippy in the area that can deliver what has been delivered here.

One of best chippys around, worth making the drive from neighbouring village to get some. Clean environment and friendly staff. Reasonable price from other chip shops around. Curry sauce is to die for!!!!!!

Had fish and chips take away and they were absolutely delicious. The batter was light and crispy the fish was white and very fresh and the whole meal was cooked fresh and piping hot. Couldn't fault it.
