Wow! Amazing catering for our canal boat event from this wonderful cafe. They met all the challenges we gave them and along side a marvellous array of sandwiches and jammy scones they created a divine gluten free coconut & lime cake for our celebrations. All beautifully presented and reasonably priced Thank you so much. Sarah & David

Lovely spot for coffee and cake by the canal! We really enjoyed our visit - the Victoria sponge cake was delicious - moist and lots of butter cream and jam. There’s a nice shaded outdoor terrace - plus a garden with tables, chairs and shades just above the terrace up a paved walkway. They offer nice sandwiches too - we had a tasty ham and cheese toaster. A great place to watch people using the lock in their narrow boats.

My wife opted for a cream tea which looked great and I went for a beautiful piece of quiche with lovely fresh salad and dressing, homemade coleslaw, chunks of bread and a chutney. We stopped off here after a stroll along the canal. It was late afternoon, but there was still enough choice from the delicious assortment of cakes. I had a biscuit slice, which contained chocolate & dried fruit, whilst the other 2 members of our group had a generous slice of carrot cake each. We also had a pot of tea each, including one Earl Grey. We opted to sit outside so we could watch the boats, but there was plenty of shade which was very welcome on a hot afternoon. The gentlemen who served us was very friendly, as was the young man outside mending his ice cream cart! It made a pleasant change & we would definitely go back. Great service & food!

What a find! Superb, huge, fresh-(daily)baked scones, and proper, freshly-(Bristol-)roasted espresso. (The cakes looked fabulous, too - again, all homemade, often triple-layered). And such friendly service. Lovely outside seating area but inside is beautifully cool in this hot weather.

Stopped on a trip from Cinderford to Romsey , have driven past many times but never had time to stop, husband and son had ‘small ‘ breakfast and I had toast and jam, the breakfast was a great size, quickly served and tasted great, really good value for money . Toilets and rest of premises are really clean and can’t wait to visit again

Popped into here on a recommendation while cycling. Lovely hidden spot with great cakes and coffee. Bike friendly with lots of bike parking, pumps and spare tubes. Would definitely recommend a stop here!

Ok so Lynne and I are back at The New Inn with friends having yet another superb meal. We have now eaten here a few times and I feel I should commend the staff and the chef ( who we found out his name was Ronnie ) very nice touch when he comes out of the kitchen personally to ask if everything is ok. Once again superb service and our friends also commented on how lovely this superb pub/restaurant is. Even when we pop in for a snack Pizza that is just superb. Well done all at The New Inn. we certainly will be back and so will our friends. You guys deserve to do well as you always go the extra mile. Thank you, so refreshing in this day and age . We will be booking for a meal again l this Saturday night with some more friends. all the very best Ian & Lynne

The Bradley Hare is an elegant enterprise but tends to cater for diners and private parties rather than dog walkers looking for a pint and a sandwich; indeed the lunchtime snack menu is almost non existent. On occasions the bar closes completely to facilitate private functions. In short, the Bradley Hare is perhaps more of a "restaurant with rooms" rather than a traditional hostelry.
