This old pub was amazing open fire and a very warm welcome

Visited Monday 21st Oct 2024. Despite umpteen very enjoyable visits and excellent staff, barwoman was very rude as was the person in charge when I complained. Completely different bar and atmosphere from previous visits. Will not visit again. (I'm referring to the afternoon).

Cracking Pub and atmosphere. Made to feel so welcome and the beer and drinks were great too.

Tiny pub but packed with energy. Heated tent outside with benches if you want more space. Friendly bartenders and great atmosphere. Nice selection of beers

Stopped here on a recommendation and it didn’t disappoint for authentic atmosphere…says something when you e been there since 1720!

300+ year old pub selling the best Guinness in Belfast, missed out on the Irish stew, only negative was the ropey toilets, but these things can be fixed.

What a place! Went on a normal Thursday night, the place was jumping. Beer quality was spot on. Bar team were excellent. Musicians outside were excellent. Historic building, that oozes character. If you're in Belfast you should make a point of visiting.

Food and drink were great! Busy, happy and comfortable atmosphere. A great pint and some good soup options!

A must go to pub. This is a great old pub. Can sit inside or outside. They do live music inside and outside. The decor is good. The place was busy after 6pm. They do Irish stew.

This bar dates back to 1720, it's meant to serve some of the best Guinness in the City, that's from locals not the bar. There is often live Irish music, it's a busy bar most of the day. The staff and customers are very friendly, the atmosphere is great. They serve food, though I haven't eaten there.

You go here for the atmosphere such an amazing place to have a beer. Had live music when we were there so it was busy.

Very old and traditional with a great Guiness (£5.40) and sporadic live music. Step back in time. Filthiest toilet in Belfast however!!!

Good price, warm atmosphere. For a tourist bar, this is almost not felt and the staff is friendly!

Thank goodness for food tours because otherwise, I'd never have walked in. Kelly's Cellars dates back to 1720 (older than America!) and is one of the oldest in the city. It's like stepping back in time. It does not look like much from the outside and, to be fair, it doesn't look like much on the inside. But that's all good because it was an awesome stop. Because it's a food tour, it can't just be beer so with our freshly poured Guinness, there was a bowl of Irish stew and a slice of fresh bread. Does anyone need anything else to survive? It's a little dark, there were some people who looked a little young to be drinking at 1 in the afternoon and the bartender was super busy pouring Guinness. Awesome!

I had read up on this extremely old pub online. Built in 1711/1720, I just needed to visit. Thankfully, sunday at opening time isn't mad busy. I say this as it meant I could sit next to the log stove fire and sample arguably the best Guinness I've had in Ireland. Once I'd spotted the Irish Stew that was on offer with crusty bread I knew this also needed sampling!! It was simply brilliant!! The 3 days I've had in Belfast have been topped off in the best possible way by visiting!! Put this pub at the No1 of your list!!

Great local pub in the CBD of Belfast. Good pints with ample choice. Great atmosphere, fun decor. Local folk musicians gathered around a large table and played excellent Irish tunes for hours. We heard they play for their beers. Good patio too. Apparently, you don’t come here for the food.

This is a great old pub opened in 1720. Quirky interior with low archways especially behind the bar. Full of history with pictures all round the pub. The outside seating area is large with ample seating. Again the star ratings don’t go high enough for this great pub.

No joke the Guinness zero I had today was better than guiness I've had at other pubs. Guy at the tap was helpful and funny.

Just a really fun local spot to enjoy a gin and T or pint! Full of energy in a cool traditional Irish pub! Arrived late so not sure if they served food, we had some chips which hit the spot as we've never had them in the states.

This was a brilliant place and Jamie the server was fantastic made our visit memorable. All servers should have the experience, ability and personality of her x

Service can be a little slow when there is a massive crowd but you will get served. People who stop in are very friendly to have a chat with.

I struggle to place the best Guinness with Kelly's, Maddens or Whites. Nevertheless Kelly's can't be missed!

First time in Belfast, a great place to visit. Love a bar with history and this has plenty of it. The Guinness was great the craic was great ,music and atmosphere were top notch..

Great place for a few drinks. Plenty of outside seating. But definitely check out the inside. There was great live music on in the afternoon midweek so there must be music there regularly. Quirky place....well worth a visit.

Recommended by two locals and we were not disappointed. Irish beef stew was delicious.

Really liked this pub with its traditional Irish vibe. The Irish Stew was amazing. It was the only food option but so good. Great selection of Irish whiskies.

We went to Kelly's as part of a pub crawl, this was our last stop. The atmosphere was absolutely incredible as there was a live bad (they were really good) and everyone was dancing. I'd say that the downside were the toilets as they weren't super clean, but considering it was a Saturday night, it's to be expected I guess.

Very traditional (1720!) with real locals ;-) After a bike ride around Belfast in the pouring rain, just the thing to warm up with a stew/soup and a pint. Recommended!

One of the best puns I've been too in Belfast so far ...absolutely amazing pint of Guinness as well as a wonderful outside area with live music...this is a must visit pub ....highly recommended 👏

A lovely lively bar,full of character. I bought a pint of Guinness and sat out side and listened to the live music being played, great atmosphere and everyone was friendly and happy.

Best place in the north of Ireland for traditional Irish music and I must say the staff are amazing and sound as,and for the stew 🍲 it's absolutely divine

Someone paid £5.4 for a pint but my 1/2 is £3.5 probably because of the tourist tax, tho I am a Brit just as a non-white. Which changed my 5 star to 3 star review. Then went to Duke of York and instantly realised why was it fully packed on the other day. Live music already on at 5pm Monday, however weirdly on a Tuesday it ends at 6 and only resumed at 7:30. Both in and out door seating have its own charm. Really nice decor honestly. Also not the pop live music you hear in most Irish pubs but good Irish version of 80s(?)

I've visited this pub many times while in Belfast, and it never disappoints. The outdoor seating is fantastic for soaking up the summer vibes and watching the world go by. The pints are always top draw! and the staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming... As you'd expect from a great Irish pub, there's live music, and on Saturdays, you can enjoy professional Irish musicians who bring something special to the atmosphere. It's the perfect spot for a few summer pints when the weather’s on your side!

Didn't get food this time round but the stew is definitely the best in the city ! 😁 Lovely lively place.

We had one great night there but the second visit wasn't good. I was accused of being drunk and swearing and they just came out and took my drink away. No discussion or ability to ask who I was supposed to have sworn at. It spoilt a really good weekend

It says it opens at 12pm on Sunday but they told us to come back half an hour later even though everything seemed to be open. Not professional.

A must go to pub in Belfast . We've been twice now and both times we experienced a great busy pub with excellent live music .

I spent my first night in Belfast at Kelly's Pub, and it was a fantastic experience. The music was fabulous, and the vibe was perfect—just what I was looking for. I also took the opportunity to try Ireland's famous Guinness. For me, it was okay, I'd rate it 3.5/5. Overall, Kelly's Pub is a great spot for a lively night out with excellent music and atmosphere.

The Tunes were awesome. Service was great, bar keeps were quick and helpful. Belfast Tradfest this week made it even better.

This is a real gem of a boozer. Inside is traditional and outside there is a lovely undercover seating area that copes with all weather conditions. During the summer months there are numerous hanging baskets full of the most beautiful flowers. Live music is often available and the price of drinks is lower than other pubs in the local vicinity. As far as I'm aware Kelly's only sells Irish stew, but I can highly recommend this as the taste is beautiful. A pub well worth a visit, you won't be disappointed.
