Kekik Kitchen in Bromley

Love restaurant with great staff and great food. A party of 6 had a birthday celebration and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience there.

Authentic, freshly cooked food at a very reasonable price. Very friendly service and the house red wine was spectacular. I’ll be going back for my birthday next week.

Great menu especially the set menu which is great value. The dishes arrived in a disjointed manner. The salad that was supposed to be with the main came with the starters and there were no vegetables with the chicken shish.

Unfortunately we were given a bottle of white wine which was different to the one we requested on the menu - apparently they had sold out and guessing they assumed we wouldn’t notice the cheaper bottle we were given instead. Waitress didn’t know what the difference between the wines was either. Although, we did get a little bit of money off the wine on the bill. Starters were okay but tiny portion (3 calamari rings). They also bought out bread and salad with the starters (bread was lovely). When asked if the salad was for the mains, they told us it was complimentary, however there was no salad with the main course which was advertised on the menu, so a bit contradictory? Rice was also bland. Chicken, however, was lovely and a good size portion. Probably wouldn’t return unfortunately.

Starters were extremely small for a hefty price! It As like having expensive samples . Quantity of starters should be revised. Main course was basic, rice was not good, not cooked as you would expect for a Turkish restaurant. The meal was dry. And the wine lacked taste. I would not go again!

We had a wonderful window seat (family of 4). Enjoyed the food, we had Lamb Shish Iskender x 2 and Chicken Shish Iskender, Falafel and humous salad. We were presented with an unexpected starter bread with salad and salsa which was lovely and had a great bottle of house white wine. Excellent service, friendly warm staff who were attentive. Recommend without hesitation this Turkish restaurant which is under new management.

Have been here for lunch a few times and it has always been pleasant. Went there last night and wasn’t so good, the food was nice but the service not so good, ordered wine for the 5 of us and was offered another bottle but said we’d have another when we’d finished the first, when we asked for the second bottle we were told that it wasn’t cold and they’d put it in the fridge, we asked for an ice bucket because it wouldn’t of taken to long to get cold and then had to ask for it to be opened. The salad for the kebabs should come out with the actual meal, it was brought out with some bread and everyone thought it was complementary and tucked into it, not a problem but made the others feel guilty as they’d eaten part of our meal, one of us wanted a Greek salad with chicken, which wasn’t on the menu but they did have Greek salad no chicken, seemed a bit of a problem just to add chicken to it. Once we had finished our meal the table cleared and wiped and wasn’t even asked if we would like desserts or coffee, it was almost like they couldn’t wait for us to go, it was 9 o’clock!! Shame as we would of had more wine, coffee and desserts but ended up going to a pub to finish off our evening. Won’t be returning.

I visited here with my friends. I had hot prawns to start and chicken shish for my main. The prawns were so delicious, probably the best I have ever had. The chicken shish was cooked perfectly. You can choose bulgur or rice. The owner is very friendly and chatty. Would be nice to have a dessert menu, they only had 1 dessert on offer which none of us liked. Would definitely return.

Visited as a family of four whilst on holiday. All our meals were delicious, couldn’t fault anything. Staff were very friendly and attentive which added to the enjoyment of our visit. My son had vegetarian moussaka which he said was the best he’d ever tasted. Would definitely visit again!

I have visited Kekik previously and enjoyed the food and cocktails and was glad for the recommendation from Kurdish friend. For my second visit to the renaned Dedem, the service was good and the food extremely tasty but the portion size was considerably smaller, just 3 cubes of chicken and 3 cubes of lamb. I had asked for more salad instead or bulger wheat/rice but this was not given. My family have Turkish food at least once a week/fortnight and this was the first time after a Turkish meal where I haf left hungry and decided to get something to eat elsewhere.

The best Turkish restaurant i have ever been in London! Strongly recommended! The food is great, the owner is great, the staff is lovely 🙏🏻

If you want to eat good Turkish food this is the restaurant 😋. Good place to have a good dinner with your girlfriend or boyfriend 😉
