Worst food and service experience I've had in a restaurant. After sitting at the our table and trying to get a waitresses attention to order they finally approached us after 54 mins to take our drink orders. Then it took another 40 mins to get drinks to us. When we wanted another round of drinks the waitress then told us there to busy to make cocktails so we could only order standard drinks

Nice and fast service, belly dancing 💃, decent size dance 🕺 floor, food is excellent, clean well maintained, pricing is acceptable. Also DJ and entertainment. Place is perfect for celebrating all kind of parties. Evening party is easy especially after 7am. Very popular place in Orpington I recommend this place.

Excellent food, good service and a cozy atmosphere. We really enjoyed our lunch and will be definitely coming back. All the dips and the Turkish bread is made in house and absolutely delicious.

We had a take away delivered. Fantastic quality of food for our kebabs, taste was great and the dish was very filling. Would really recommend Aksular! Delivery was quick and very polite.

Went here on a Monday night for a birthday evening. 8 ladies. We were the only customers. Food was good and reasonably priced but it was very chilly in there. Music was quite good and subtle.

Had takeaway for the first time this evening. The food was absolutely amazing. The meat was tender succulent and flavoursome. Good size portions. Would definitely order again. Will recommend to family and friends.

Absolute Rip off and not value for money. They charged 19 quids + service charges for a mere 6 pieces of mixed shish. Totally not worth going there. I wonder how they have been rated so well.

I dined at this restaurant the other night and OMG the food was absolutely delicious! So impressed! I came here last year and the food and everything was great but the other night the food was exceptional! Pop along and see what the fuss is all about, but I will 100% be returning! Delicious food and the most friendly staff. We came in late on a Sunday after our flight was delayed and the restaurant wasn't only generous enough to stay open a bit longer for us but also spoiled us with extra sauces and treats. And the 90s rock/pop playlist topped off the very delicious meal.

Sirloin Steak... The quality of meat very low, looks fade, chewed... 2 bites and "on the side" 😅 Better buy "the glued one" from tesco (£9)... Honestly the owner or chef should change the supplier. Medium rare stake come like has been cooked in microwave, not even the "stripes" from the grill can't see on it 😅😅🤦‍♂️.. Salad, wine, service was OK... Friendly staff, happy to tip £10.

Went on an early Sunday evening and we were the only ones in there. I've been told Friday and Saturday evenings are much more lively. We were really looked after and the food was delicious. The staff were attentive and helpful. We will definitely be returning!

I booked the restaurant for my 50th birthday for a party of 27. I have been to this restaurant a few times and had a good experience previously but on this occasion I have to say I was quite disappointed. I felt that the set menu of £40 per person was quite excessive considering what was served up. The entertainment was a little flat and the music that the DJ played wasn’t very good. We got the bill at the end and they overcharged us by a considerable amount. It would been much better if they had allowed us to pay the drinks as we got them as the bill was extortionate. They had definitely added extras onto the bill. To save all the arguments I paid the bill but I will definitely NOT be going back to this restaurant ever again.

Omg people I went ther with my family and I cannot express my happiness over the food that we had. Please try the lamb rimbs and. You won't be disappointed. The only downside is the carpark has a chain and cannot enter untill you call them. Friendly staff and really clean place. Do recommend this place

Amazing place and highly recommended. We had a wedding party at Aksular restaurant and it has been perfect. All food and service were fantastic. We had a warm welcome from management and all staff before our occasion and on the day. Thank you all!

Lovely restaurant with very friendly staff. The service was on point and the food was awesome. A great experience with the family. A special mention to Mario our waiter who was very attentive.

Terrible manager very rude shocking attitude. We ordered a sharing platter for 5-6 people where there was 5 of us so we could try a bit of everything. When it came there was 2 pieces of chicken shish and 2 pieces of lamb shish amongst the cheaper cuts like 4 chicken wings, 4 lamb ribs and kofte. It wasn’t enough to share amongst 4 people let alone 5. When my wife politely told the owner we couldn’t share the shish as there wasn’t enough, the owner got into her face and replied “you don’t get 1 piece of everything per person on a platter you get a few mixed things, also there is 10 of you trying to eat out of the platter for 5-6 (when clearly there was 5 people) and you’ve come here to eat so just eat and don’t cause trouble”. We all couldn’t believe how the owner spoke to us and my wife was so upset she couldn’t eat her meal. The staff was also rolling eyes at us for ordering tap water. We would have left but we were there with family for a birthday. We just calmly continued. The crunch came when the bill came, not only did they still charge for my wife’s meal which she didn’t have, but we found quite a few items that were added on which we didn’t have. Items added on were removed. This restaurant is now a no no with our family and friends. If you still want to dine here be aware of the bill and what you have had as it seems they rely on people not to check it.

This place is quite costly. It cost me quite alot just for a main course and in the end it wasn’t even worth spending so much money because the food was not nice. It was a disappointment. Do not recommend this place.

Service slow, manager rude , food small portions for price

Restaurant could not cope with being full, we were two tables of 12, the waiter spilt a tray of drinks in my lap, luckily I was wearing a black dress so it didn't show, he didn't apologise neither did anyone else or offer to pay for cleaning or even offer a free drink as a gesture of good will. Meal was a set menu, I had the chicken shish which could have done with a bit of salad on it. It would be a long time before I return, our waitress however, was lovely.

As a family of four we come here regularly my husband and I decided to have a date night there on Saturday the 10th December after trying to call them to book a table throughout the day I couldn’t get through we decided to walk in and see if they had a table available, the staff discussed seating us in Turkish which my husband could understand they said we’ll seat them but put them on a timer! After being seated we were given the “party menu” (which was the only option as they were busy) which was £40 per person and consisted of about 5 cold starters and 5 basic kebab main along with 3 desserts. We were quickly served our drinks we had to order our full meal including dessert at the same time the waiter stood over us while we quickly looked at the menu then our food was served in quick succession. Our glasses were taken away once we finished our first drink and we were not offered another. The restaurant was full of smoke from the grill and the smell of grease. And when our dessert came out (we chose the cheesecake) which was a 6th of an Iceland defrosted cheesecake. Our total bill came to £105 for two sauces two mains which was 3 tiny cubes of chicken 3 tiny cubes of lamb and a spoonful of rice a quarter slice of tomato and a 6th of a slice of tortilla wrap! and dessert was two “slices” of cheesecake one glass of Pinot Grigio and an effes beer we were in and out within 40 minutes. It was by far the worst experience of going to a restaurant that I have ever experienced and as a regular customer that goes there on a Sunday when it’s empty i would have thought they would look after us a bit more than that. If that’s how they treat their regulars then I wouldn’t bother going as a new customer. We won’t be going back in a hurry! Very disappointed.

I love the food at this restaurant and have ordered quite often but was rather disappointed yesterday. Their phone was off the hook, so I could not order....and 40 minutes after I ordered online (I was about to leave home to collect my order), they cancelled the order with no explanation!!!! I eventually went down in person to order and was the one to tell them their phone was off the hook. Aksular, do you want customers or not? 😳 I then sat and waited for my order.......which understandably takes a while to prepare (hence me wanting to order by phone or online!) Thank you for my free Turkish tea as it was cold outside....but you should not have waited for me to suggest it! 😏 That being said, I like your food so let's hope you do better next time.... and I hope the blonde lady with the ponytail is still there. She is lovely!!! Your best staff.

Terrible experience! Very busy and not enough staff leading to very upset customers! 1hour wait for a drink, 2 hours for any food! People walked out. Management rude and seemed oblivious to his customers requests. You have been warned! Do not book here!

Really sorry to say it was not a good experience. Food took too long to come and then it was cold and very bland.

Such an awful night. Meant to be a lovely meal for our Christmas work so only to have it ruined by lack of any kind of service. Only one waiter trying to handle a number of tables, the owner was straight up rude and very unprofessional. We never actually ate anything at this restaurant since it took them 2 and a half hours to bring us even our starters, we were lucky we were given 1 drink. Never returning back

The food is great, however, it was served late. The management and the waiters are nice, but time management is poor. Customers should be put first, once this has been done, this place will soar

If you are considering booking - consider again! Yes, the theme here is Belly Dancing, but there’s also the ‘belly feeding’ to be considered… I should have taken the clue given by the slender figure of the belly dancer… she had obviously waited to be fed even longer than we had! On Friday, my group of 15 arrived for 7pm, for a Christmas get together. By 9.40 we were still waiting for our starters to arrive. Belly Dancing was a welcome distraction but several members had to leave to travel home, without having eaten a morsel. I’m afraid hunger and frustration ensued and fortunately the noise level in the restaurant was high, which saved blushes given what little I could lip read of comments being made to the manager :-) Starters arrived sporadically, as was the case with the mains some while later. Past the point of hunger, lots of the food was wasted. Desserts arrived in the same fashion but with few of the party left to eat them. This has been, in a previous life, a well-run and great party venue. Now I would never use this restaurant again. Even the surly DJ couldn’t redeem the evening with some good old Christmas dance floor fillers, choosing to snarl at requests and do his own thing. Appreciate staffing may be an issue but if you can’t offer the service don’t risk your reputation by biting off more than you can chew……. We were offered some fashion of refund, but this will not compensate by any means to my reputation as the event organiser nor for a ruined evening for the team that rarely gets the opportunity to meet together socially. Thanks for that Askular. Never again and only the brave and pre-fed should entertain this venue.

Honestly awful! Took an hour for drinks to come and nearly 3 hours for mains to come out. Obviously overbooked. Other tables said the same thing. Rude staff.

Very good entertainment and food

It is a very friendly restaurant. The food was average.There were 6 of us but 2 had to wait for 30 minutes after the other 4 had eaten their meals to get their food. so we did not all eat together and the food was basic nothing special.. The belly dancer was good and it was lovely that she involved the customers but seemed that she included one customer for a long time she seemed to be giving a long lesson to one person who was a relative or family member which meant we didn't really see her belly dancing. There was music after which was good and it meant that we didnt have to elsewhere for a boogie after our meals. However the toilets were blocked and backing up and there was no water coming out of the taps to wash your hands.We didnt even get offered a drink for the 30 minute wait let alone an apology. It was a meal for my grandaughters 18th birthday and they accommodated a slice of cake with a candle.I didn't make a fuss about the issues but i was discusted that we didn't get asked if the meal was OK and every time we wanted a drink we had to get up and go and ask , 2 people ate 30 minutes after the the othersI think they need to concentrate on the customer service skills and their toilets. Not worth the money.

Such a cozy environment. Food and drinks were out of this world.

The staff were super friendly and the ambience was excellent. If you are looking for a place to have a reunion, celebration party or event this restaurant is ideal. You feel like you can actually celebrate, dance and enjoy yourself without the staff giving you looks or wanting you to stay still in your table and make no noise. The food is actually pretty tasty and with good portions.

This is THE best restaurant I’ve been to! The staff are amazing and welcoming, they even partied with us throughout the night! I went with a large group and they kept coming over to make sure we were ok and drinks were topped up. The service was reasonable quick as there was 10 of us! The food was excellent! 100% recommend this restaurant for food and entertainment!

Very average. Confusion over booking, despite confirming hours before arrival that evening. Food ok, not amazing. Service poor apart from one lady running about like a loony trying to keep everyone happy. Added two lots of service charge on to our bill and weren't very apologetic when it was pointed out. Toilets revolting and no tissue paper or hand towels. Wouldn't return.

Attended a leaving party there last Saturday which was fab but then a group of youngsters arrived .. under aged drinking and fighting took place where bottles and chairs were thrown .. spilled out into main road stopping traffic but they were shortly let back into restaurant.. there were families with young children there too… was disgusting behaviour.. never going there or recommending this place 😡😡

The food is ok but certainly nothing special. Some decent cocktails which you will need to withstand the embarrassment of the belly dancing, certainly not my thing but I have to say other people seemed to really enjoy it. I thought the music was very mumsy but I guess that's the crowd they are aiming for? My biggest criticism is their lack of knowledge of what is in their dishes - I asked for the allergy list but it didn't match their menu. When I asked what certain dishes contained they didn't know and said the chef changes things. I was assured that our food would be checked with the kitchen but when we asked what was in the very first dish they served it contained the very thing we cannot eat! If we had severe allergies then this could be really serious and is not acceptable. I would not return.

Would have given a 5 had they just taken care of 1 thing. Occasion: Had an outdoor party One of the female servers who might be in Her 40s or so was amazing and helped us finalise the venue else would’ve gone with Orpington GPO. Pros Great food Friendly staff Great vibes Reasonable prices Cons My only problem was the plates weren’t taken away on time which led to flies buzzing around my guests. I was at the time too embarrassed to say or do anything in front of everyone. I wish they cleared the plates occasionally without being asked as they were present to take the orders.

Had a delayed Xmas party due to Covid. Food good, atmosphere good, but never received our deposit. Queried the bill and was told the deposit would be paid into the account it came from which seemed fair and honest. No deposit issued, would not let me take the itemised bill on the evening either or photo it! Take note if you don't get the itemised bill they can not reproduce another copy for you. Take Note, have lost our business for Summer and Xmas now, all meetings are held elsewhere. Shame!

Lovely food and great service would highly recommend

A very disappointing meal. There was 18 of us. They took over 25 minutes to get a drink when the restaurant was fairly empty and charged 10% service. What a joke. We asked if we could go to the bar ourselves and was refused. Such bad service and the food was not great either I ordered a mixed Kebab see photo and that was £15. I feel it was very sparse for the money. We also ordered a rib eye. It is definitely not a ribeye, I do not think it is even beef. See photo The salmon was a real good portion but generally disappointed. The entertainment was good and as a group we made the evening fun. It was a real shame as the food and bad service made a 25 wedding anniversary memorable for the wrong reasons. Maybe just maybe that is why it was so quiet on a Saturday night.

Ordered a mix kebab which was chicken and lamb shish. Although very tasty, I was very disappointed at the portion size as it was only suitable for a child. Just 3 small pieces of lamb and 3 small pieces of chicken. Belly dancer was late so we decided to leave. Would not recommend.

I used to go to this restaurant every week and had a birthday event here when it was called Hisar. This was my first visit after change in management and l was totally disappointed. The manager was not welcoming or pleasant to us. On observation, he was was pleasant to the larger party bookings and not us which is not nice considering he had no idea about us or our support when it comes to good restaurants. Some of staff were friendly. Horrible energy from the Manager which was enough to put me off my food and tarnish the experience for us there. The food was tasty but unfortunately the lamb was overcooked and therefore not succulent. I advice you to change the pineapple juice/drink which is extremely poor quality. That does not compliment the good food you serve for those that prefer non alcoholic drinks. Please consider upgrading your juices. Customer Services in hospitality is key and this includes food made well and how you treat your customers. Do not judge a book by its cover too Sir or pass on your stresses and negative energy to staff and some customers. Being welcoming and pleasant is key and part of the dining experience.

Had a really nice late lunch, great selection of food. Everything was cooked well and the best calamari i've had for a long time. Generous portions and 50% off monday to thursday, so great value too!

The food was really good. Very neat place and a lovely ambience. The menu had lots of options to choose from. They had a special menu for mothers day but we could also choose from tee regular menu. They have kids options on their menu. Bread was complementary and we had two portions. Parking for customers is also available, not with loads of spaces but okay for a few cars. They've got toilets. Their customer service is good, friendly and helpful. It is a good restaurant to visit.

We was very welcomed by this young gentlemen was was seated straight away the service was amazing the menu however could improve was a little confusing for myself and my husband but overall the drinks , food service everything was lovely will deffo recommend

Great restaurant with tasty food and excellent customer service. Special thanks to Tatiana who was very friendly and attentive up until we left! The portion sizes were very generous and the restaurant was clean and spacious. We didn’t wait too long for our starters or main course which was great. They have a small parking space which holds around 4 cars but there are also residential roads available to park outside restricted times. Would definitely recommend for some tasty Turkish food.

Will definitely be going back on the Friday night turnouts,,belly dancing and dancing for entertainment and the food lovey brilliant atmosphere got seated at 1930 didn't leave till 2345 worth every penny

Probably OK for young crowd. Very loud music from large speakers. Not good for conversation. Food okay but not the best. Only the service was excellent but I left there with a headache so can only give one star.

BRING BACK HISAR!!! came here on Friday 10th December with 5 friends. I had booked table in October well in advance. We got the most awful table in the whole restaurant, in the corner & in the dark, couldn’t see anything & was ignored most of night.Food was terrible after waiting over 2 hours for the mains. Service was appalling. Been coming to Hisar for years for Xmas & birthdays. Normally Xmas they have Xmas crackers on the table, not anymore. They always had a turkey dinner, not anymore. The cheesecake used to be lovely this one I’m sure is now shop bought! No taste! I definitely won’t be going back again! Such a shame as I’ve had some great nights in there over the years when Martin & the Hisar team ran it. They always looked after you. This lot were not bothered. Didn’t want to give any stars but wouldn’t let me.

Food not good, we were 13 people and 7 of those didn't eat there meal. Portions very small and we where there 2 and a half hours to before we got our main course. Staff were lovely but think they just had too many customers.

Went out for a meal with my husband and his work colleagues. The food was delicious but customer service was poor. Drinks took forever to arrive, didn't even get some of the drinks we ordered. Also waited ages for desserts. Some staff didn't even understand what we was asking for. Won't return here sadly
