I've been here before, this NT is local to us and we're members. The last time we came here, we had a nice pot of tea, cups and saucers. It was really pleasant and a nice treat. So I was more than disappointed to be served a tea bag floating in a disposable cup for the extortionate price of £2.70. This is a disgrace. You should be ashamed of yourselves. I also ordered a couple of sausage rolls. These arrived eventually, but not before I'd almost finished the tea. I'd have had a sandwich, but as it was 12:30, all these had gone. You can't provide sufficient sandwiches to last through lunch apparently.

Excellent provision for allergens. I feel that it is a shame dogs are allowed into an eatery and that it is unhealthy and not appropriate. The presence of clumps of dog hair confirmed that.

Very disappointing lunch @ Kedleston Hall Restaurant. 1. We had to queue for at least 15 mins to place our order with only 1 person operating the order point / till. 2. Having queued up, I was then advised that Cornish Pasty was not available so had to make a last minute order switch. If a board had been put up, advising of any unavailable items, I could have sorted my alternative order out whilst queuing. 3. Having ordered a Cheese & Onion pasty instead of the Cornish Pasty I wanted, I received a pasty which was practically inedible. It had been massivley overheated & over baked, resulting in a pasty that was burnt, hard-baked & couldn't been identified as having anything to do with cheese or onion. Usually I would have sent it back, but the lengthy wait & queue made this impractical so I attacked the pasty as best I could and left the completely inedible pastry crust. Would definitely not recommend or return.

Lovely outside area to eat in as well as the old hall kitchen. Just mind the rooks who are ready to collect the crumbs. Lovely home made soup.

An unforgettable experience in the heart of the Peak District! We had an amazing meal at The Bear Inn — truly one of the highlights of our trip. The 16-hour braised ox cheek with red wine reduction was absolutely out of this world — tender, flavourful, and cooked to perfection. We also tried the fish and chips, which were beautifully crispy on the outside, flaky and fresh on the inside — classic done right! It's the kind of place where you instantly feel at home. Nestled in the stunning Peak District, it’s the ideal spot for a relaxing meal after a day of exploring. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be coming back!

We have been coming to the Mundy arms for years since moving to the Derby area and We are all gutted to hear it's closing, especially since its the best we've know it in all the years we've been coming. The current staff are head and shoulders the best they've ever been. Service is exceptional, genuine friendly staff who aren't putting on faces, they are happy to be there and that is something that any pub would kill to have. We wish them all the best in the future. The only disappointing things is that we found out the pub was closing via email and Facebook the Friday 12th before they shut on the Sunday 14th. This seems very short notice for all involved. Thank you for everything Mundy Arms!

Tucked away but worth finding. An old fashioned pub with excellent service and very well kept Ales, and an excellent selection. They offer food, only until 2.30 and bar snacks. Plenty of seating inside with snugs and even more covered and outside. Well definitely be back.
