Great food. Very neat and tidy restaurant with an open kitchen to see your food cook live. Good variety to choose from and polite staff.

I went with my family several times and it never disappoints. They serve authentic 10/10 desi food with really quick and efficient customer service.

Moving from Pakistan to England has been a journey filled with challenges, especially when it comes to finding authentic Pakistani cuisine. I often found myself missing the flavors of home. However, my recent visit to Yum Yum Grill has been a delightful surprise that I just have to share. As a student, affordability is crucial, and this restaurant ticks all the boxes. The restaurant offers fresh, hygienic, and incredibly tasty food at reasonable prices. I ordered the Chicken Karahi and a mix BBQ platter, and I must admit, I was initially hesitant due to past disappointments with Pakistani food in London. But Yum Yum Grill exceeded my expectations. The food was not only fresh but bursting with authentic flavors that transported me back to Pakistan. Yum Yum Grill has become my go-to spot for Pakistani cuisine, and I highly recommend it to anyone who misses the taste of home.

I am expressing my disappointment with the service we received during our recent visit. We waited over an hour for our dinner—a simple mixed variety platter—while two other customers who arrived after us received their food well before we did. From what we could see, they ordered similar dishes, which made the delay even more frustrating. When we inquired about the wait, we were told it would be another 5–10 minutes. Just as we were about to leave, a staff member urged us to stay, saying our food was on its way. Even after it arrived, we had to request sauces separately, which should have been included without needing to ask. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy for a Saturday, so the service delays were especially disappointing. Unfortunately, the quality of the food didn’t justify the long wait either—it simply wasn’t worth it. I hope you’ll take this feedback seriously and work on improving both service speed and food quality for future customers.

Avoid this takeaway at all costs. I'm genuinely shocked that this place is allowed to operate under council regulations. I ordered a doner kebab, peri peri chicken, and fries, and the experience was appalling from start to finish. The staff claimed the doner was fresh and stored in a box—but I watched them pull out frozen doner and then proceed to burn it while reheatingI confronted them and asked to cancel it and give me chicken doner instead which they did but What I received was laughable—he weighed the portion like it was gold, and still only served what could barely pass as a child’s portion. For £8, it was a complete rip-off. The peri peri chicken was just as bad: clearly frozen, dry, and completely lacking in flavor. Nothing tasted fresh, nothing was prepared with care, and the staff were completely dishonest throughout. Please don't fall for this fake and paid reviews I will never return to this place and strongly advise others to stay away.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. They are here to rip you off. I have ordered 4 times from these people to give them the benefit of the doubt and 3 out of 4 orders have been terrible. Extremely small portions for twice the going rate.

One of the worst Pakistani restaurants their portions are a rip off order lamb biryani and you’ll get all rice. Best to stay away from them or hop on to ilford and there are better options out there

I am extremely disappointed with the lamb curry I ordered for £25. As someone who enjoys spicy food, I was shocked at how unbearably spicy it was—so much so that it was inedible and has left me with severe heartburn. I spent my hard-earned money expecting a delicious meal, but instead, I received something that ruined my dining experience entirely. For the high price I paid, I expected much better quality and balance in flavor. This is unacceptable, and I hope you address this issue seriously!!!!

Brilliant customer service. The manager Tahseen is very polite and helpful. We had to order food for 40 people for my son’s aqeeqah and were struggling to find a place who can take meat and cook for us. not only they helped us but made sure that we had the best food. We ordered Kababs, wings, lahori chicken karahi, chicken biryani, lamb karahi, butter naan, quarter pounders and chips for children. The chef made sure that we keep faith in him that the food will be good. The most hit items were the wings and the chicken karahi. Overall, the food was loved by everyone and they put in a lot of effort to get our order right. Highly recommend for bigger orders.

The order never arrived. Courier texted his bile was broken. The restaurant lady called to tell me that they have reported it to the Justeat. And now the webpage is saying "Food delivered - enjoy your food". It is probably the courier who is enjoying

Terrible service from this place. Ordered over the phone for collection and as in most restaurants they provide everything in the bag and you trust them that they have put everything inside. To my surprise they have only put 2 tiny pots of sauce when I have spent £50. When I called, the lady responded as they charge 50p extra and rather did me a favour by giving me 2. Honestly, disgraceful attitude

Decent Pakistani food at reasonable prices

Been here last month. The food quality was better before. But the food is still okay. I gave it 3 stars because of the service. I requested if the pilao rice in the platter can be changed for biryani as none of my family members have it. I was willing to pay extra and yet the lady serving said its not possible. Not sure why though. Most Pakistani Indian restaurants I have been to are more than willing to make little changes even if they charge extra. Also it was not that busy but due to take away orders our good came 40 MINUTES LATE!As an apology they gave us a butter naan which no one really eats in my family again. They could have atleast offered the change we requested. We were a regular to this restaurant but will not be visiting it anymore.

If I could give it 0 stars, like their hygiene, I would! First of all, we came in to an empty restaurant, and the manager was just sitting in the middle of the restaurant on his phone not even showing any awareness that we were there, until my dad approached him because he had been to this restaurant before a couple times. We sat down and ordered a few different things, such as the yum yum platter, the paneer butter masala and the samosa chaat and the mango lassi. To start, as soon as the platter came, we noticed a few strands of hair wrapping around the kebabs as if it was there for decoration. To our surprise, when we glanced at the kitchen, what did we see..? No hairnets, a couple guys with long hair and one with short hair and all with scruffy beards! NEXT.... after asking for replacement kebabs and receiving them after 10 minutes, when it literally looks like them microwave kebabs, we proceeded to wait 15/20 minutes, after we finished our food, for some plain pilau rice, which was supposed to be a part of the platter. LASTLY.... and possibly the most nasty thing I've encountered in a while. Whilst being the thickest mango lassi I've seen, my sisters were pouring the mango lassi, we saw flies and moths literally fall out of it!!!!! It was unbelievably grotesque. I took it straight to them and the manager and they were all so clueless and non chalant. Who let this guy run a business? He knows nothing! He thought giving £8 off our £90 bill is good enough. If we get food poisoning we are reporting this to the food standards office. I hope they read this, as we were nothing but nice about it, and the manager never even apologised properly, just continued to watch his shows or YouTube on his phone, because that's way more important than the standards of your business and customer satisfaction.

Every street in Chalford hundred is littered with leaflets from this restaurant. I don't mind getting leaflets, but at least put an effort into putting it into the letterboxes nicely.

Food is too spicy 🌶️ and also food quality very poor

I’m prepared to receive the order at one time then jut before the time the order time changes. I have had food from here before but the presentation is always different. Last time extra sauce this time none to go with the onion Bhaji. I also note that the spice heat varies each time. Today was ok but last time was spicier heat. If there can be variation can we have choice to ask for mild or hot.

This is the last time I would order from this place. Really wanted to support this business as we don’t have a lot of Pakistani restaurants near Chafford. The food quality keeps getting worse. Ordered chilli coriander naan and it was filled with dry crushed red chillies to spice a whole village - couldn’t eat it - the last time I ordered it was a completely different item- with green chillies and coriander. Daal maash was bland and half cooked. Had to bin all the food - never again. In the past they sent me chana curry with meat curry masala - I am a vegetarian. They collected it and delivered chana daal but as a vegetarian I couldn’t understand how can you mix veg with non veg food.

The worst restaurant first & last time gave me stale kebabs

The food was ok, it is authentic and that means some dishes are very spicey, but still quite tasty. The mixed grill was far too spicy for my wife, she could not eat it. Butter chicken was nice, savory flavour like you get in India, not sweet like the awful version of this dish you get at 'Indian' take aways, but it was very, very oily. The biggest issue I have with this place is the price vs the quality and quanity of food. It is not good value and I would not order again.

Well I did ordered yesterday chicken tikka masala in the afternoon, but instead of that I have relieved some spicy garlic chili chicken curry what was awful. Couldn't even ate that because it was so hot. I did report the issue with the restaurant but they didn't bothered to do anything with the order. Really bad service.

Food was amazing, lovely place. BUT It's FREEZING in the winter. Couldn't enjoy our amazing food because of how cold it was. Staff left the outside door open allowing freezing cold air to come in. We had our own little heater but did nothing in the strong winded cold coming in. Had to sit and eat in my coat. Can management please fix this!!! Then I can come back again and again instead of just in the summer.

I frequent this establishment weekly spending £40-60 but just finished my last Takeaway 2/12/23. The large chicken curry contained 6 cubes of chicken and the large lamb had 7 cubes so much added water in the lamb that it separated on the plate from the sauce and oil. How can you justify that. Peshawari naans are delicious.

Load of rubbish. Don't waste your time. Naans are just pre-brought and not cooked fresh on site. Butter chicken is 100% NOT butter chicken and goodness knows what type of chicken it is. The mixed grill is a joke and doesn't even have sheekh kebab in it. Very disappointing and nothing like the proper desi food you get in East London.

Took 17 of our family members our to eat to celebrate sons birthday. Everything went so smoothly. We pre-ordered the food and it came out on time, hot and fresh and was delicious. We had a few children so glad we didn't have to wait around for the food to be cooked. Service was amazing, definitely returning very soon!!

I arranged my daughters 5th bday party here with 30 guests. Just want to say thank you to the amazing staff for going above and beyond to accommodate us. The service was amazing, the food was delicious and hot, and the place felt like our own. We were allowed to decorate how we wanted with a cake table too and with music of our choice.
