Agra Tandoori & Balti Takeaway in Thurrock

First time back in a couple of years. Food not as good as it used to be in the 80's & 90's, and some meat dishes can have excessive oil on top.

First time I’ve ordered from here, deliver was super early! Food was ice and hot like it had just been given to me at the shop! Nice large chunks of chicken too!

Lamb tikka taste like cardboard

It’s been a while, but good to be back and food as good as ever. Really enjoyed the Chicken Phall. An excellent meal.

Food has always been good from here. If you want the dishes to be more flavoursome just ask! Our order was large - 3 chicken biriyani Shashlick chicken tikka korai shami kebab lamb chops plain Nan daal chicken chat puri Bombay aloo lamb jalfrezi

Shop manager. Placed an order-on New Year’s Eve , not only was it over an hour to arrive, but when it did it was wrong. Two portions of onion bhajis were missing and two green salads. I called to inform the restaurant of this and I just got attitude from whoever was on the end of the phone. Not happy after spending £60 + on my order. Five mins later the missing parts arrived, unfortunately these were also incorrect? Three green salads were delivered and no onion bhajis. I had to call out to the driver and tell him, ten mins later the items arrived. The rest of the order was now cold, really disappointed as never had issues before. Bombay potatoes were both cold on opening as well. Not sure what’s gone wrong tonight but not very happy with what was received this evening. I will certainly think twice now before ordering again as it’s only when things go wrong you get to see the true colours of the restaurant and staff, and this was poor on both fronts. 🤬🤡😤🙄

Ordered in the day for delivery in the evening and it was bang on time, hot, and deliceous.

Excellent food and service. Tried the new Chishni dish tonight, really good, if you like a bit of sweetness this is perfect. A lovely meal.

Terrible food. Flavourless , horrible, everything tastes the same . Only decent thing was the bloody rice ! Should be ashamed to charge 35 quid for a meal for 2 and it come out worse than a morrisons fakeaway!!!

First time we used this restaurant, the food was fantastic, the portion size was perfect for us too. I honestly enjoyed my meal and will definitely be ordering from this establishment again.

If you spend £40 and you order 4 popadoms a little bag of onions thrown in would not go amiss . Only Indian I have ordered from that you pay for it 🤔

The aloo chat wasn't what I expected. It was like a aloo curry. Also the keema naan hardly had any minced meat in it with dry bread.

Pappadom portions was too small ,Biryani wasn’t up to the mark.

Not the best. Popadoms stale, Nan too doughy & not cooked properly, onion barjee burnt. Packed the curry at the bottom and squashed everything on top so leaked everywhere into the bag…. ☹️

Tried this first time and I am in love, I love biryani and it is difficult to get authentic curries and biryani in Grays, but I have found it here. the Bangalore Phal is VERY spicy, I am from South East Asia and when I said Spicy, I really DO mean SPICY. LOVE it, will definitely order again

Rubbish naan bread they were rock hard had to throw them in bin

Naan was missing but I rang them and was offered the choice of delivery or a free one next time so will have a free naan with next delivery. Food was hot and full of flavour. Chicken was cooked well. Spices were perfect. Would definitely order again.

Lovely Jalfrezi and Chicken Tikka Masala. Best I've had in a long time .

We have ordered before without problem but ordered this evening (29/12/2021), order came quickly enough although poppadoms were stale. One of the currys was missing main ingredients, called informed Arga takeaway about the curry. They said they would send another one straight away but had to chase up what happening after 40 mintues. Everyone had finished there meals and the rice and other sides were cold by the time that the replacement curry was received, even then they only sent a half portion.

Food was freezing cold, naan breads stale 2 mains a naan and a rice £28 rip off

Ordered at 19:37still waiting to collect at 21:02 not good enough time management, for 3 basic curries no extras no starters no changes to the menu shocking was a loyal customer won’t be in the future

I have used this Curry takeaway for a few years now, but after having our 3 curry's delivered to work on a Saturday night shift with most of it spilled out everywhere I will never use this Curry house again. I ordered a Vindaloo and after managing to scrape half a curry out of the bag I would say that this was also no hotter than a Korma.. Very disappointed guys, you need to change your delivery driver as he must have been bombing it through Grays town..
