Ordered from here a few times. Food quality is alright. Took 2 hours for delivery, which imo is appallingly bad. No communication. Gave me a £7 refund. If you want quick delivery, this ain't the place for you. Probably my last order from here.

Been living here for over 4 years, driven past here so many times. Even the friends who live around the corner from the shop had never tried this Chinese. WOW, some of the best Chinese I have eaten. Fresh, full of flavours not greasy. Highly recommended every dish was beautiful ❤️

Ordered on line at 6.30pm, called to find out when we would get delivery after 1 hour 15 mins, told it would be another 15-20 mins. Eventually turned up after 2 hours! Food was nice but delivery was awful

Have used multiple times before with no issues - this time was a disappointment - duck was very fatty and not crispy - Beef in Black Bean was bland - more beef in Gravy - maybe just an if night as they have been great in the past

Food was horrible the chicken was over done and hard my child chocked on it the rice was crunchy and bland, the chicken noodle soup tasted like water with no flavour what so ever and the chicken balls were greasy and unpleasant

This is a decent Chinese takeout. Food is cooked well, not greasy and tasty. One of the best Chinese takeouts in Grays. Would recommend. Only issue, its cash only.

It's a takeaway so there isn't an atmosphere but the food is banging and great selection.

I preordered my food for 8pm and was told it would be delivered at 8.05. the food finally came at 8.45!... really messed up our evening. and took ages to get through to the restaurant

This was my first time eating from The Chens Garden, and it won't be my last. I ordered through the phone and the person was friendly. I booked a food delivery. Delivery took 1 hour and 15 minutes (Friday night). The only downside to a delivery is that you can not track the driver, so I didn't know when it was going to arrive. All food was delivered hot. The chow mein noodles were full to the brim of the tub, the sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style could have had a bit more in the tub but still a good amount. The chicken balls were a good size and had a nice crisp to them. The food tasted great! I will definitely be ordering from here again.

Great food just wish the website would allow delivery to be more easily accessible as after two attempts it automatically chooses collection..

Chicken quality in chicken curry really bad, jelly lumps all over it, inedible.. other than that rest of the food was good

Delivery time advertised was 30-45 mins. Once order was placed, new delivery time of 1 hr 15 mins - 1 hr 30 mins was advised. Eventually order was delivered after 1 hr 55 mins.

Apart from the late delivery the food was ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT 👍

Roast pork wasn’t good, everything else ok

We usually do not have problems with Chens Garden. Unfortunately, tonight we had to cancel our order as it was over 15 minutes late. We have put this down to it being a Friday evening and they must have been very busy. We will stick to mid week orders in future

Food taste nice but the rib portion seems to reducing every time.

Honestly the best Chinese I’ve ever had in a long time. Not greasy and full of salt only full of great flavour and great portion sizes.

Allways use Chen gardens , never had any problems, the food is always hot and tasty, delivered is always on time or early, would highly recommend.

Always go there on a Friday. Food is nice, fast service, friendly staff.

Both alright went cold quick but nice. Just the first driver that delivered was a bit rude. Proceeded to tell me my drink was being delivered by someone else while he was walking away from me so had to ask him what he was saying. Should have said it to my face bot with his back to me near the car. Rudeness

The delivery was super quick within 20 min of ordering and the taste and quality of the food was on point 10/10, this will be the only place I order from for Chinese food.

orderd before and it was nice (sweet and sour chicken) but gave me the worst food poisoning was awful. thought id give it one more chance just ordered some soup and curry and rice it was so salty it was dreadful
