Kebab House in Brighton and Hove

The chicken doner tasted terrible. It was like eating rubber. I think because this kebab shop is in a good location, it thinks it can get away with serving food past it's sell by date and not fresh. I genuinely wouldn't advise anyone to purchase a meal from there.

Decent place, decent food. The owner is a geeza! Fair play. Will come again if around these ways again 😎

Absolutely vile! Visited Brighton with three friends for a long weekend, and we'd saved ourselves for a late night kebab after a night on the town. How we never came down with food poisoning is a miracle. The Doner meat was the thickest of I've seen in my life - inedible. The 'homemade' chilli sauce was bitter and the mayo was watered down. We all spent the next day attached to the toilet. I wish we'd read reviews before coming here. Avoid this place like the plague for your own health! I'd give zero stars if I could! Vom!

Just woken up after having a kebab from here last night. Feeling lucky to be alive. The doner meat looked like a grilled wellington boot. There was a drunk girl being wrestled on the floor outside - not really relevant to this review just wanted to share. What concerns me is that I don’t think I actually saw any real food in this place, there was a decoy doner spit behind the counter. The sign has been removed from the front of the shop, I presume to avoid bad press. Honestly it’s our own faults for going here. Don’t know what I expected from a kebab shop on west street open at 3am on a Sunday night. Take this review as a cautionary tale. Enter at your own risk

🗣️Don’t waste your money 💷💷 We are four friends went there, ordered lamb doner n mix doner kebab was stale, not fresh, chips was old just fried second time Food was worst, we told him to change n to give new cut kebab the men he refused to give, it was a bad experience there, we don’t even eat the food he saw that, the wasn’t friendly, we had to pay full amount nearly £60. My suggestion will be to avoid that Shop if you don’t want to waste your money.

Food was halal, good and large portioned. The guy was very gentle and served well. The service was super quick. Eat in and take away available. Open all night till 5 am as he said. Yummy.

Wouldn’t feed it to my dog or even a homeless person how you can call it a kebab is beyond me. Would be 0 stars if I could of done

The photo explains it all, lamb Donna and chips , clearly asked for garlic sauce and we have been given mint yogurt, this Donna meat is inedible I couldn’t even chew it just vile

Possibly the worst kebab shop I have visited and that is saying something . Despite the shocking reviews i decided to give it a go as it the only place close , and OMG I wish I hadn’t. Ordered a mixed kebab and all I can say is Im lucky I didn’t end up in hospital with food poisoning. I have attached a picture of the filth in question. Rotten

I'll be honest. I've had this before, after many drinks. But Jesus. Please don't go here. Food is awful, kebab is dry and has no flavour. They are skimpy on the sauce and salad. Drunk - As a last resort - Sober - Jesus, go to a bin, be better food thrown away.... They are only in business due to drunks losing their taste buds... COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY! Walk an extra and get a burger king 🤣

My expectations were already low for a kebab place on West Street... And this didn't disappoint. Luke warm chips, a sprinkling of cheese and garlic mayo that tasted suspiciously like tzatziki. Just go somewhere else!

Kebab House doesn't look like much from the outside but it's my favourite place for late night eats in Brighton. It is conveniently located on West Street (where many late night venues are) and it benefits from having some seating (no need to eat it on the street). Their fries and garlic sauce are the perfect finish to a night out in Brighton, in my opinion. Is it the best food you'll have ever had in your life? Absolutely not. Does it taste like the best food you'll ever have in your life when it's 3am and freezing? Absolutely.

I can only give 3 stars today. The large kabab was.... Well small. It was also pretty dry. I still ate the thing though.

If you are going to call it chill sauce it should be spicy. Better call it mild sauce instead

Made fresh to order burning hot homemade hot sauce with actual flavour. I recommend the chicken and chips.

The typical end of a night out was early for some, but the chap was nice, helpful, and polite. Half the cabinet were empty and looked a little tired. Little expensive for what you are getting really. Friend enjoyed the chicken kebab but was heavy on the onions. Needs a face lift. I really can imagine it's busier later or earlier in the morning when cluns are kicking out.

Food is prepared with zero hygiene i think, it was for sure stale. And the place seems to be not cleaned from weeks. And all this wasn't the worst part, their attitude is, they are unnecessary so rude and cold..

Went here for a romantic meal. The waiter was rude, no candles and the first course was just some weird mystery meat wrapped in bread for £9.50. Needless to say I ended up with dry balls that night!

We went there once. After long day of exploring the city ans shopping I was extremely tired so came across this restaurant and went there. The person was really nice and respectful. My husband really liked the taste of Kebab but for me the food was not really as tasty as I expected (my opinion) 🫢 So it depends on your taste, you may like it or may not.

Amazing so kind employee and service food just to good and comes hot and lovely the food is delicious recommended for everyone and better than any restaurant in the country in my opinion it sells everything on any occasion

This is such an exceptional neighborhood takeaway restaurant. The kebabs are absolutely delish and the servings are large and super fresh. We’ve had about half of the items on the menu and they’ve all been great. The owners are lovely and welcoming and it’s around the corner from my family’s flat so very convenient and open late. Highly recommended.

Bought a chicken donor kebab last night. Unseasoned and not even sure if it was chicken. My friends took a bite it and was horrified too. Absolutely disgusting. I don't even know how they could mess this up.

I wouldn’t wish this upon my worst enemy, let alone feed this to the dog. How has this establishment not been shut down? I feel robbed to think I paid £30 for a ‘Meat’ platter to simply find out I have remains of god knows what in a metal tin. ‘Chips’’have seen better days…AVOID.

This is one of the worst Turkish kebab houses in England rather. Don’t ever go and have any food there. Food quality is very poor. Imit was my utter bad choice of going into this restaurant.

I said I was vegetarian and they put beef chilli on my fries despite me saying I was veggie and asking for ‘chilli sauce’ not chilli con carne. I only realised half way through eating it which really annoyed me

If I ever have a kebab, it’s normally at the end of the night after a good amount of beers to fend off the hangover the next day. Tonight, my girlfriend and I fancied one and we were both fully sober-just had a proper hankering for a massive kebab. Logged onto Deliveroo, ordered a lamb donner and a chicken shish kebab with all the trimmings from Kebab House and they absolutely smashed it. Definitely up there in one of the best kebabs I’ve had. (The others were in Berlin). But yeah, Kebab House on West Street are wicked!

I never ate from thr store, but I was a bike courier and I had many times deliveries from them. If you want something hygienic this is can not be serve here. its incredibly bad and the smell of the store is disgusting. But because it's close to pub probably many drunks will not understand the taste even.

This was shocking. I had decent kebabs from this place up until today. The food smelt, it tasted foul. As if it was a day or more old. This was unacceptable. Never gonna order from this place ever again.

Honestly I would put no stars if I had the option. Chicken was hard and dry. The lamb donor was also dry and hard only had 2 pieces I didnt receive my 3 cans of coke. They are amateurs also looking at all the negative reviews I'm surprised they are still trading I will never go there again as it was the worst.

Apparently this place is now under new ownership and the food was delivered on time and was delicious fresh and clean and tasty no complaints. I would not give it to the seagulls!

Just terrible, filthy dirty and the only bloke serving didn't seem to see us let alone serve us... didnt even ask for payment had to ask him how much it was and suggest I should perhaps pay?? As for the food I had a lamb shish it was like dog food. Just avoid and head to the lanes only went here as wanted something quick on the way to get my car fom Regent Square car park after a day out in Brighton.

I don't know where to start. First, I was happy to find a middle Eastern restaurant nearby. Then all my craving for a delicious middle eastern food was crushed. The person at counter seems uterly rude. Lamb meat is more like rubber. Very dirty tables. Messy sandwiches. Work with hands and no gloves. Never again.

Do not order from here, it is foul. Half ended up in the bin. We accidentally ordered a takeaway from here not realising it was a 1 star hygiene rated after-the-club kind of place.

Do NOT eat here... I went for some late food after a night out - and my chicken was not cooked! What's worse is that when is reported this, the man protested my decision and was very rude. Only after a major commotion would they agree to serve me something edible. Luckily I was "clear-headed” enough to notice this, as no doubt they are peddling uncooked mess to hordes of drunk people leaving clubs who will only realize the next day when they have food poisoning. This place is an absolute disgrace.

El kebab con salsa muy picante estaba a la altura de lo esperado a las 00:30 de la madrugada. Lo que hizo que mi experiencia como cliente fuera poco satisfactoria fue la ergonomía poco acertada del lugar. La barra metálica lateral que se ubica frente a las mesas de madera me obligó a tener la espalda inclinada en 17,63 grados hacia delante para poder sentarme sin golpear mi hombro. Además, los fluorescentes blancos provocaba cierta sensación de discomfort visual.

Nos ignoraron mientras estábamos hablando y no parecía demasiado molesto.La calidad de la comida era realmente mala e incluso tenía pelo. El lugar no parece limpio tampoco. Sentí remordimiento después de comer desde allí. Definitivamente nunca volverá.

Good kebab. A lot of good meat. Air-conditioning is missing, otherwise I would rate the place with at least one more star.

The only problem I had was that the Donner meat was "Grainy". I don;t know if that was down to the way it was cut.. Or just cheap meat. Lovely Falafel and choice of salad.

The meat is of good quality, not too oily or fat. Tastes very good. The portions generous and the prices are decent. The place though, should look much cleaner and tidy. There has been an effort at the half of the sitting area. Why not all? The guys that work here are polite and friendly. The shop should be looked after much more. Some easy changes to look more attractive and trust worthy.

The kebab is over £5 which is a bit pricey. The chips aren't vegetarian as they're cooked in the same fat as the meat. The vegetarian kebab is alright but a bit basic.

Inundada con cerveza, nos decidimos por un Doner Kebab. Entramos y elegimos 2 cordero y una de pollo. Generoso para repetir de carne y ensalada. Dio en el clavo. We have come down all the way from Edinburgh to try the kebab at your house and we were disgusted with the quality of the food and hygiene was atrocious and we tried to bell ya but you didn't pick up. Without a doubt you and your children will attain this treachous behaviour and quality standard of food. We visited here for lunch recently and as a family we had a lamb donor, falafel burger and regular burger... The only one out of the group that was decent was the donor. Probably wouldn't try again.

Me gustó mucho el shawarma kebab que probé y por más o menos 7£ tuve una comida completa con papas fritas y bebida.

Me fui el domingo por la noche si las vacaciones de mayo. El miembro del personal estaba interesado en todo lo demás me bar el cliente. Él no cumplió con mi línea y yo tener que repetirlo, ya que estaba hablando con un colega. Pedí ensalada de lechuga y sólo se servía en mi kebab. Sin duda fue el peor kebab que he probado y el servicio era grosero. Nunca más.

Had a shish kebab, did ask them not to over cook, as it makes the chicken dry. Unfortunately the chicken was dry, which did spoil the kebab. Chilli sauce could of been hotter that is my preference.

Los miembros del personal era muy grosero, limpieza de tienda, que era muy pobre. El tamaño de las porciones estaban bien, los precios exorbitantes teniendo en cuenta la calidad es chocante. Patatas fritas (patatas fritas) estaban cocinados varias veces, carne Doner estaba seco y muy fría. No es nada agradable. Llena un vacío, pero sin duda no lo recomendaría.

Large portions, well cooked, good quality, value for money chicken donner kebabs, with an great chilli sauce. Ate here several times and always great.
