Kebab Erbil in Stockport

Had the set meal for two, absolutely delicious! Great value and everything was totally fresh. Absolutely my favourite takeaway in Cheadle. Unfortunately it’s been shut for two weeks since. I really hope it hasn’t shut.

Great food (plentiful too), plus a surprise lentil soup when we arrived that was unexpected, great service too, this business deserves to and I’m sure will do very well indeed !

Good respectful staff, clean surfaces and flooring, quite empty at times however food still very delicious, new ownership too so that's a bonus, give them a try I'd say and I recommend the kurdish kebab and chicken wings (ask for some extra sour seasoning with the chicken wings) 😋

Using cheap product, have tried other kurdish resturants and the kebab meat is 10x better. Food was so bad yesterday, gave me the dry'est chicken i've ever seen in my life. Sat on the toilet all day today: Never again.

5 Stars. The food was amazing very tasty and cooked to perfection. The Price is very reasonable and the staff were very accommodating and so friendly. They even brought us soup soon as we got in to warm us up which was a lovely gesture . We would highly recommend and we will definitely be returning very soon. Thank you Erbil Cheadle 😊

Attentive service received in this child friendly restaurant (they have a beautiful fish tank.) Delicious food (shared the special for two, £20), freshly prepared in front of our eyes. We were given a delicious soup starter as a bonus treat after ordering. We'll be back- thank you!!

Exremly slow service. Food was over cooked. Chips were made firsr then sat there for 10-15 mins while rest of the food was made. Shwarma was poor. Prepped in a container. And then cooked in hot plate. Worst food the family had In a while

I loved the food. I tried lamb Quzy, lamb biryani, and Kurdish kebab, and they were all pretty good. Salad, soup, and fresh bread come with orders. It's clean, quiet, and family-friendly. It's not the best customer service, but once you get your order you won't care. This is a great place to have a nice and tasty dinner with friends and family.

Food tasted weird.. All burnt All tasted horrible Staff weren't very nice Staff were dumbstruck and dizzy and they had no clue what was going on.. We had to wait 40 minutes for our food.. We dined in.. Atmosphere was all nice and decorated though.. Everything else was a disgrace!! Never coming here again!!

When in here tonight for the first time , the young girl didn’t seem to no what she was doing ordered a mixed mezza starter which came with our main , no sauces on the kebabs had to get our own cutely and ask for the drink we ordered . Don’t think I will be going back .

Incredible, authentic & affordable food, lovely staff & spacious and neat restaurant! I couldn’t take pictures of everything we ordered because some dishes were too good looking to wait for pictures. (chicken wings, lamb tikka) We all agreed it’s our new favorite restaurant around! I highly recommend the Erbil Special and the Mixed Meze with a jug of Ayran 🤤

It was a really good place, not too busy and we were served by a friendly helpful waitress as soon as we sat down. We got served a starter of a lentil soup which we weren't expecting and it was unbelievably delicious. I ordered a mixed shawarma (chicken/lamb) with chips and salad. The salad was fresh and plentiful, definitely not shy with the portion. The shawarma had a really good home cooked flavour and cooked in their own fats. My wife had a Kurdish Sheesh kebab and the same salad. The lamb melted in your mouth and tasted light. We had a small meze platter and a side of rice and a side of chips extra. We struggled to eat even half of what we had. The food was really good quality. We had a nice surprise at the end when the owner treated us to a delicious piece of baklava each. The whole meal was excellent value and I'm looking forward to going again sometime soon 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞

Thought I'd give this place another chance but that was a mistake. Ordered 6 chicken sharwarmas with naan and was bitterly disappointed with the following elements: - Filling had hardly any chicken and what was provided were small grisly pieces of thigh meat - Majority of filling was salad so should be renamed to 'Salad sharawarma' - Requested Naan to be seperate as takeaway order but was not packaged as such therefore when opened was soggy - After finishing was left hungry as portion size was so small and had to eat again

I usually don’t do negative reviews. However, this deserves a fitting review. Repeating the other true reviews that this is dry and tasteless. Given a 1 star more specifically for the tiny portion sizes and for getting the order wrong twice over.

The most weird kebab I’ve ever had. Dry meat on dry bread no sauce no fresh salad no nothing. The chips had hairs in them. This place is disgusting

Lovely first experience, the business owner is friendly and welcoming as when you are seated in the restaurant to eat in they offer complimentary soup which was a kind gesture..I do have a picture but not posted as family member was eating it. we ordered the mix kebab, mixed salad mezze and yoghurt drink “ayran”.. all was nicely made and would go back again and highly recommend.. my personal favourites were chicken kebab, hummus and the Potato salad..pricing was reasonable. The restaurant is a nice addition to Cheadle , hoping to order dessert next time :-)

Kebab Erbil in Cheadle! Our first time visiting and we thoroughly enjoyed. We ordered the £20 special for 2 with an additional side of rice and chips. We were served x2 large naan along with a plate full of meat (kebab, lamb tikka, portion of chicken wings, chicken tikka) with mixed salad on the side, beautifully flavoured. The portion was amazing, that good we even ended up taking left overs home. The total for 2 people with multiple cans of soft drink was £30, super happy. Certainly do recommend this place 🍴😍

Eaten here a couple of times, got chicken tikka, lamb and chicken shwarma, each time has tasted lovely, good flavours and presentation. Will definitely be returning

The lamb tikka was dry and tasteless. My young daughter was looking forward to some chicken wings and chips. The wings were burnt and the chips were inedible and tasteless

Went in with a group of friends. We ordered various things off the menu, chicken shawarma, lamb shawarma, mixed kebabs, Aryan etc. Be warned, everything comes with a big plate of rice! This particular day they had no chips, nor flafel as the machine was on the blink. The food was prepared quickly, it was fresh and flavoursome, although perhaps a little bland for me. The service was really good and they really looked after us. The restaurant has a handy room for salah upstairs, and there's plenty of free car parking in the car park at the back (note, it's only free where 6pm, but only 0.40p for 2 hours). Recommended and would go again .

Although we were the only ones there but i think food was good. One thing i ll say was they were not doing half of the menu.

Had a takeaway, only had a chicken/lamb kebab and chips but can easily say best kebab from stockport station to the white heart, proper enjoyed it. £8 too.... absolute bargain

It’s the best and delicious kebab. I ordered for 2 person I got 2 fresh naan and salad it’s full tested nice guys don’t listen to anybody to what they say sometimes wrong first test and then you will now how is delicious kebab and the staff really gd and friendly. I’m really sorry I say this for this lady name is SOLIN JAMAL you are completely wrong if you needed more naan you can order extra. At the last I say thank you guys for this new Restaurant really nice place.

Fantastic food and service will try again

Purchased Kurdish kebab grill which came with salad and two naan. Enjoyed kebabs as tasty, lightly seasoned, and low in salt. Naan also really nice. Didn’t enjoy salad due to cross-contamination with sesame.

We call them request delivery, when the my order arrived their presentation was awful and disgusting, the meal were very small, the kebab was hardly cooked!! They hardly deserve to even think of give them nothing.... bad quality food Very bad presentation

First time here. Calling itself a restaurant is abit of a stretch. It’s a takeaway with indoor seating. Service poor, food okay. Probably not somewhere we’d revisit. 2.5 stars.

As a Kurd who has tried many kebab restaurants, I can happily say this one felt right from home! The food was great. The staff were very friendly and kind. Special thanks to Kak Omar for the mastaaw! It was delicious 😃

We ordered 3 tikka kebabs and they got the order completely wrong and gave us 2 kebabs in one naan bread. Portions were small and salad was tiny - no sauces offered to take away. Prices are very expensive - substandard food and experience and we won’t be going back.

Lovely fresh food with great service, highly recommend

The schwarmas here are amazing with really fresh & interesting salads BUT they never have enough. Three times now we’ve been around 6-7pm and they’ve run out of lamb and chicken schwarma and the skewers. The staff member said that you need to come before 3pm. This is no good guys. You need to cook more schwarma, especially the lamb - it’s really great and popular and you can’t be running out by late afternoon. “It’s expensive” the guy said. Hmmm.. come on Erbil, your prices are not exactly cheap and you can’t be running out of your best stuff before the evening has even begun. We would have given Erbil 5 stars as their mixed Schwarmas are super tasty but they keep running out of them. Cook more schwarma Erbil. Everyone loves them them round here. Especially the lamb!

Looking at other reviews here and don’t understand what the fuss is about, the food is delicious and the prices are very fair especially considering the excellent quality and great location. The meat at the front of shop you can tell is extremely fresh, the bread is traditional and made in house and tasting incredible! The interior is beautiful and very clean, it’s about time there is a Kurdish/Iraqi restaurant in Manchester that is on this level, will be retuning with my whole family soon. Thank you for the service 5*

What a little gem we have in Chealde. Popped in for a bite to eat on a Saturday afternoon. We were met by very friendly staff. The inside decor is smart but it has a nice casual feel about it. We were given two complimentary small bowls of very tasty soup while we looked through the menu. When the food came it was very well presented and more importantly fantastically tasty. I had the chicken shawarma and rice while my other half had chicken skewers with naan and salad. The dishes came with some amazing flatbread that complimented the food. What was really surprising was the cost. This was great food that was really inexpensive when compared to other restaurants in the area. I recommend that if you have the chance to give Kebab Erbil a try.

Cold, tasteless and stale food and yet PRICEY. I would strongly advice to AVOID this restaurant! Shame on the business owner to call it Erbil Kebab and for bringing shame upon Kurdish cuisine.

I have been to this place tonight at 7.25 with my friends. We ordered lamb chops and kebab and chicken kebab and lamb tikka.we were very disappointed at the food . Lamb chops over cooked and so dry 😩 and tasteless. Lamb tikk dry and tasteless . Kebab wasn't nice at all . This place doesn't have any management, and customer service is quite poor . I won't recommend this place to anyone. It is quite expensive as well. We are very disappointed 😞 😔 we will never go back there again

The best Kurdish and Middle Eastern restaurant in Cheadle village Can’t recommend enough

Hi, if anyone like the Kurdish or Iraqi food, then I highly recommend KEBAB ARBILRestaurant. Specially the Kebab made from grill mince lamb meat and served with salad and specially with Kurdish bread, and don't forget to drink hand made Airan, and all these with good price. Many thanks for all wonderful stuff.
