Katie's Kitchen in Erewash

Katie’s kitchen is a lovely local cafe with friendly staff and good value, well priced food and drinks. I come in multiple times a week and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. Definitely worth a visit for a good local business to support!

Called in here for food recently, The staff were very pleasant, but it had a sort of transport cafe atmosphere. The food was okay, but nothing special and tasted like really cheap ingredients. We Left here stinking of fried food as there was no ventilation at all. Unfortunately, not one to return to.

Visited Saturday morning 12th March 2022. Wasnt busy at all. Good menu and well priced. They do Gluten Free and opted for gluten free breakfast which was a good plate of food. Didnt have coffee this time but a pot of tea which after a good brewing time was quite weak. Not sure if the hash browns were gluten free has i had a side affect 2 hours on, the first since going gluten free in december 2021

No visible Covid19 track and trace in place, tables were well spaced out so it felt relatively safe but need to implement at least "table service" only rules instead of ordering at the counter unless ordering takeaway. Good old fashioned filling breakfast with very good service at a very reasonable price, plenty of parking across the road at the precinct.

Visited today Tuesday 27th Oct 2020. Not been here for sometime and is now under a new name and ownership. Wasnt too busy, no NHS check in for Corrid 19. Very basic inside with no atmosphere at all. Small menu. Prices not too bad. Lattee coffee had no taste, was just like hot milk and not very hot. The café itself was quite cold too. .Probably wont visit again

Love this place since its been taken over by new owners. The decor is clean and tidy but very up to date too. Staff are very friendly and go out of their way to assist with anything you need. Sausage cobs are jammed packed full of gorgeous sausage, hot and tasty. Coffee is gorge and just right. Totally lovely vibe going on here, with all new seating and a new menu I seriously cannot wait to try some of the lunchtime treats. Would highly recommend - don't let this hidden gem hide away from you!
