Kathi Thai Kitchen in Greenwich

Kathi Thai was one of three enjoyable restaurants my son & I visited over the last fortnight.Based in East Greenwich it is a very short bus ride from The Cutty Sark/ Maritime area. A small unpretencious establishment with the usual basic Thai menu the food & wine was excellent & the service first class & unobtrusive. Look forward to returning.

A small, unprepossessing establishment in a row of shops hides a rather good Thai restaurant. Nothing out of the ordinary, just really well cooked Thai food and lovely service...A great find!

The meal was good quality Thai food. Nothing spectacular but tasty. Service was reasonable. Price was a little steep in my opinion. Deserts not the best. Atmosphere was ok as relatively popular place.

I found this place by searching for Thai food in the area and walked 30 mins out of my way (ignoring other Thai choices en route) because reviews looked good. I am very pleased I did as this is a great little restaurant. The staff are friendly and welcoming and thanked a regular for coming again when he arrived. The food taste great and I would happily eat here again. I had the chicken wing starter and the Duck (red) Curry from the Chef Recommends section. Both dishes I would order again. I recommend a visit.

Recommended locally by a foodie and I have to say it did not disappoint, It was delicious, friendly staff too. Finally a good local Thai

Food and service is amazing, pad Thai along with multiple curries are why I will be coming back here constantly. Good prices too.

Have been to a number of Thai in the central greenwich area. Far and away this is the best. There are better I have been to but not in greenwich. Excellent and tasty. It is worth pointing out that some of the local competition is well below par in fact one I can think of where one of the starter dishes genuinely resembled something that fell out of a dogs rear end.

Enjoyed our visit on September 26th. Used the NHS coved 19 app to check in. Plenty of hand sanitiser provided, all staff wearing masks and furniture well spaced for social distancing; felt very safe. Sadly the restaurant isn't able to use their beautifully embroidered placemats any more. The service is efficient and polite and the presentation of our meal was lovely. The sweet corn fritters were tasty; as was the squid starter, though it could have been more 'salt & pepper'. The ginger and duck dish was tasty and tender though personally I would ask for more ginger next time. The lamb shank dish was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our third visit here and will be returning soon.

Went for a meal tonight and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food came quickly and it was all delicious. Can’t pick a single fault!

The first time I dined at Kathi was with a group of 8 guys on one table, not an easy task. The food arrived hot and delicious served by happy staff. We have since been back for more of the same. I would recommend this restaurant highly. Good food good value I wish them success.

Ok - so the actual restaurant itself is more like a relatively run down cafe but the food - OMG - the food is totally exquisite. I don't live in the area but was lucky enugh to be taken there by a friend who lives round the corner. If you love Thai food and you live locally just GO. And if you live a bit further out - still GO!!!

Ate here with a group of friends and was blown away by the depth of flavour. The best Thai I've had in Greenwich. The service was fast, and even though we were the last ones in the restaurant, we never felt rushed. Definitely support this independent restaurant. There’s not enough good places to eat in SE10. We will be back.

Greenwich sorely lacking in decent restaurants so glad to find another to add to the three or so worth revisiting. Service was good and the food was of high quality and the prices very reasonable. What’s not to like? It would be great to see them prosper.

Honestly don’t understand the 3 star review. We had a fantastic meal at Kathi. Very tasty food, with real depth of flavour and very good portions. We are locals and will definitively be back again. Highly recommended if you are in the area!

Had lunch at the new Thai on Trafalgar Road. The quality of the Thai is average by London standards. We found the tastes to be subtle. It could/should be punchier as I believe Londoners have evolve to be more adventurous on trying something more authentic....
