Kate's Kitchen in East Ayrshire

My Work Colleague and I both got the Macaroni & Chips out of here today and it was probably the most disgusting thing we've both tasted since...well...forever. The chips tasted like reheated Microwave Chips and the Macaroni itself was almost beyond description, like some kind of weird synthetic tasting yellow goo. Honestly, their Macaroni tastes like an experiment gone horribly wrong and I'm gutted that we wasted £9 and 20 minutes of our lives going to collect cartons of hot crap. Suffice to say my Work colleagues and I won't be eating from here again.

Have eaten here a few times and dont understand why I keep returning as my order has never once been correct, thismorning I ordered a soup with pepper and a roll with slice onion and brown sauce, I left with a soup with no pepper and a roll slice and fried egg with pepper,

My partner and I have bought food from Kate's a few time, whilst their food for the most part is lovely and fresh I have to comment on the very poor quality of customer service that we have recieved now on more than one occasion. On our most recent trip the server didn't utter a single word,reluctantly gave us a bag after we asked for one and quickly walked away after our service was finished. No manners, no customer care - nothing. Very rude. As this has hasn't been a one off it makes me very disappointed as we travel to get to Kate's specifically for their food which won't be the case any more. :(

Las sopas eran servidas fuera de inmediato y a la izquierda detrás del mostrador, sin embargo, tuvimos 50 minutos de espera para los rollos de que la sopa estaba helada. Por el momento nos fuimos con nuestro almuerzo fue tiempo diner!

Excellent take out for lunch or early dinner. Great idea allowing text orders too. Watch mid week at lunch when it can be very busy around 1pm with school kids.

Lovely wee shop. Staff are really friendly. Food is amazing. The club sandwiches are great. Excellent text and collect service

Good wee shop to get your morning bacon roll or a panini and chips for lunch. I always think the test for these types of places is the amount of footfall they receive and Kates Kitchen is always busy. Despite being busy you will get your order fairly quickly and it is always fresh. Great value for money and worth stopping at. Parking is limited outside the cafe so be prepared to park down the street a bit.

A fairly new enterprise but one which has proved very popular in the locale. Offers a range of foods and beverages. Reasonably priced with good service. Could perhaps ask patrons to dispose of takeaway cartons properly as school children litter the streets with them!

Have been here a couple of times and have always found it good value. It is spotlessly clean and the quality of the filled rolls are very good.

This is a lovely cafe , the food is good and the staff and atmosphere in it is great. We have had lunch here a lot. There baked potatoes and soups are excellent and at a good price.

Went for take away rolls this place is really clean can sit in. Rolls were nothing special but service was quick. The cakes etc looked fab but will try again lots of homemade items which looked lovely but for area it was a bit overpriced but staff should help make this place a success

This shop just opened 5 minutes round the corner from us. It does exactly what it says on the tin, fresh, clean and generous portions. What else can you ask for really!! I often get a ham salad roll and its bursting at the sides. The only downside is its popularity and parking gets a nightmare especially in the mornings, no fault of the owners though, mainly due to the poor parking efforts of the customers! Keep up the great work...

This wee jewel has just opened in the Bonnyton area of Kilmarnock, in a busy road where passing traffic might just miss it. The staff are friendly and helpful, the displays are tempting and the food is delicious, freshly cooked and served. Nothing is too much trouble for Kate and her staff and we will be recommending this lovely fresh cafe to everyone. Have had the take-away roll and sausage which was great but today we dined in. Tomorrow, it's afternoon tea with my mother, this is the ideal place for small get-togethers and quick breakfasts or lunches. Not very big in size but big in welcome and quality. Keep up the good work folks. This is just what the area has needed for a long while as the only eating in establishment is either the pub or the supermarket both at the bottom of the hill. The menu goes from breakfast rolls to burgers and paninis, baked potatoes and meals such as chilli con carne or curry as well as daily specials and salads. Something to please most tastes.
