I spent 1h45mins here and ordered 2 drinks and a sweet treat during that time. Thing is I went in here to order breakfast but they dont sell anything vegetarian except a potato scone. My drink was also served in a dirty glass. When i ordered the second drink he didn't even say thankyou. The owner asked me to leave because I was using a laptop. He was rude enough when I first went in telling me I couldn't plug it in. Then he told me "he didn't mean to be rude" but I needed to leave as "its not an office" and he "needed the table". At this point there were 2 empty tables. Really rude man. This man really lived up to the stereotype. I got the impression he didn't like the look of me because I was out of town AND was using a laptop. There's a much friendlier cafe for non-locals and non locals alike few doors down the same size of the street and I'll be taking my business there in future.

Since we had set up camp in the village we wanted to have breakfast so we went with the motto where locals go to eat, it can't be a bad thing. We were warmly welcomed into the small, down-to-earth coffee shop run by the owner. We were very well advised for the first time, he recommended the Scottish breakfast, which he, because we ate this for the first time with Haggis and Blackpudding, in trial portions. We were very pleasantly surprised. And it was cheap too. A few days shortly before our departure we had dinner there again. Repeatedly good fresh quality. Simply delicious and highly recommended. Food was top quality. We will definitely come back when we are in Scotland again. So kessy retiring isn't possible, you're too good for that. Kind regards from good old Germany from Monika and Jörg

Popped in for a place to sit and a bite to eat before 10am. Had my wee boy 3yo with me and straight away we were welcomed and made to feel at home. Ordered a crispy chilli chicken roll and chips which were banging. The service was outstanding, the wee man was tired and crabbit but he was made to feel so relaxed. The banter was impeccable and I would definitely come back if I've ever got a free half an hour in Cowdenbeath.

Love coming here. Kids love it too as Jim always makes them laugh. Food is good, typical greasy spoon.

Waited a while for two suppers which was fine as it was a nice day. I usually go to other chippies so thought I'd try this one. I wish I had went to the other ones because the food was so oily it made us both feel sick. Not joking I had to spit the bit of fish out onto a napkin and tried to eat the peas which were fine but could not eat the fish. It looked delicious though, one other thing was the batter made it look like it was a thick bit of fish but when you bite into it there was barely any fish inside it. Anyhow I decided after feeling sick I would just bin it, when I picked the napkin up it was oil soaked, now remember this was from one single bite of the fish. That's a lot of oil if one bite has soaked a napkin. Unfortunately I won't be back. Near £30 for food fit for the bin which in this climate isn't ideal. I couldn't just go elsewhere and spend the same again, not to mention being put off due to the amount of oil. Overall disappointing experience that I don't wish to repeat.

Sushi was not cold and nothing really tasted like sushi from any of the places I've ever had it (30-40 times in the last 10 years). Imitation krab used as well instead of real crab. Haggis roll was alright, as was the tempura, but definitely not going back. Quality was less than supermarket sushi.
