Kaspa's Desserts in Rugby

I have ordered some food from Caspa’s. My order was confirmed. Waited for an hour and received a message that my order was cancelled. Very disappointed.

Dessert was nice. Service was slow considering there wasn’t many inside when we visited. Good selection of dessert choices on menu however counter top desserts were lacking looked bare Needs some Tlc inside

The workers were really rude to me and my partner when we ordered and gave a bad attitude. We also were told we could sit in even tho we were there at 9.30, 30 minutes before closing. We asked for a strawberry and cream crepe without strawberry sauce and it was covered completely in strawberry sauce. My partner ordered a brownie crepe and said the brownie tasted burnt and like it had been in the microwave which it had as I had seen it in the microwave while they were cooking our crepes. The crepes although freshly made had a rubbery texture to them and were mostly cold by the time we received them. I'm very disappointed in my experience.

After a blunder with my Uber eats delivery last evening . I called into the shop. The manager was very apologetic as I’d been charged and had not received my order. I was served my waffle.. this was delicious. Lovely friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely appalling customer service weighted an hour for my food whilst other got there’s before me wouldn’t recommend going they don’t like to work

i came here the other day and i found a masssive toe nail in my waffle, it might have been because i called the worker a slag for not putting enough lotus biscuits and it was international womens day but i hate women any way

Slowest service I have ever seen. Each person's food delivered more than 15 minutes apart. Staff rude. Been here an hour and only a quarter of the order delivered so far. Ridiculous, if this is the best you can do just shut the shop.

Ordered two banana splits and the bananas were not ripe. You are next door to Asda and could have got some ripe bananas. Disappointed

Went on a Friday after school, staff were lovely and service was good . The desserts came very quickly and were soooo nice , me and my sister were in complete heaven! Defo coming back asap😍

I went with my friend for his birthday and the staff were so rude! We were first served by a woman who kept walking off and going on her phone half way through our order. Then after we had ordered her manager came up to us and said the first member of staff had done it wrong and we had to pay extra. The manager was really rude and rolled her eyes at us. Then when the order came the order tasted watered down and not at all like Kaspas I’ve had at other stores. Will definitely not be going back.

Expensive ice cream and desserts in a plasticky shop. The staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful too.

Really rude. Slow service. Burnt waffles. Took ages to come. Didn’t give what we paid for. People who ordered after us got it first.

I think the concept could be great , but no welcome on walk in, lots of untidy tables, restaurant was freezing cold and the music was far too loud. Couldn’t have a conversation. Girl threw one dish on the table, second one with cutlery came 10 minutes later. Kids will love it but I won’t return in a hurry.

Tried to visit today with a guide dog in training, my friend had phoned 2 days beforehand to check it would be ok and was told yes it’s fine. Arrived today to be refused access and told that having a dog would be ‘unhygienic’. The lady was foreign and was not understanding anything I said. I asked for a manager she kept using her phone and then saying she couldn’t reach anyone. Then asked if I’d like a takeaway. I said absolutely not and left. Looked cheap and overpriced, and staff need training on 1. How to speak English and 2. Guide dogs are eyes for people that cannot see, they are not ‘unhygienic’ and do an amazing job changing people’s lives. I hope for that lady’s sake she doesn’t ever lose her sight and need a guide dog of her own! We took our business elsewhere to a lovely independent cafe that was more than welcoming for the guide dog and couldn’t have received better service.

There's a wide selection of crepes, waffles and warm cookie dough flavored and ice cream sundaes Or you can build your own We've been a couple of times and are never disappointed Make sure you're ready for a sugar high

This was our first visit to Kaspa’s I visited with both of my parents, there was a good selection of crepes, waffles and other desserts, there was also an option to create your own waffle or crepe if there wasn’t anything that took your fancy!On arrival you find your own table and you have to order at the counter, staff were friendly and checked if everything was ok. The desserts themselves were huge, and quite sickly, if there are a few of you are going I would recommend sharing. Our eyes were definitely bigger than our belly’s. I will definitely be visiting again with my partner and two young boys!!

Had a Smarties cookie dough desert with a couple scoops of ice cream. Came to around £7. Wasn’t bad, the dough was nice and soft. Not so much flavour, apart from the Smarties. Also not as big as the menu made it out to be. Presentation was rather nice. The cappuccino ice cream was quite tasty, I do love my coffee. All in all, it was okay, just not worth the price. Plus the interior is quite tacky, in my opinion. I’d come back for an ice cream scoop to try all the different flavours, but only to take out. If you want a cheaper warm desert, I’d recommend trying one of the many gastropubs in Rugby.

The restaurant was seriously lacking in atmosphere, it felt like closing time, the staff were not over friendly, and the food is somewhat expensive.I took my 2 children in, and ordered 3 waffles, 2 hot chocolates and a banana milkshake. This cost £30.The waffles were big, but made from Yorkshire pudding mix, and were light and had little substance. My kids Oreo waffles were far too sickly sweet, and they could not manage half of them. The hot chocolates were ok, but the milkshake was not enjoyable at all - it was as though they had used unripe bananas.The restaurant is always quiet when I walk past, and now I know why, we will not be visiting again, and I can't see it lasting much longer, which is a shame since there are too many empty buildings in the town centre already.

We went here as a family on a late Saturday afternoon. It wasn't busy and we chose to sit at one of the booths. The menus arrived promptly and once we'd ordered, the desserts came quickly. We had the Canadian waffles to share and they were yummy. The 3yr old had mango mania which looks nice but it's too big so the adults helped out, obviously. There is a good range of desserts and as the portions are big you can share and split the costs. I think the desserts are a bit overpriced but it's a nice experience to have a dessert in a restaurant. I'll come here in the summer as the ice cream flavours look really good. Go here once, and if you don't like it, next time get a dessert from Asda which is opposite and it might be cheaper.

Poor service! The cutlery was dirty and third time lucky we got clean cutlery! Took forever to receive our order! When asked at the till which nuts are included in on of the dishes, the cashier asked the manager and the manager responded....”nuts are nuts are do you mean?” Good job we don’t have any allergies.A funny story to take away but I’d rather spend my money else where!

My rating isn't on the food as you get what you expect from a dessert bar. Nice desserts although a little over priced. We waited 10 minutes to be seated, during this time no one acknowledged us, even to "say be with you in a minute". The restaurant was half full with. There were more empty tables that needed clearing up than there were occupied tables. When we were finally seated the waiter tried to sit us between 2 dirty tables, we refused and chose our own seats.When we went to place our order it took another 5 mins to be served, during which time staff were standing around moaning about work and looking miserable. Not a single smile during the service or lack of.We went for an offer any hot drink with a dessert. Our desserts came out separately. There were only 2 of us,how difficult would it be to ensure our food was served at the same time. Only 1 hot drink was bought out because they placed the order wrong.I was left disgusted by the kitchen staff. I wish I had seen this before our food was delivered and not minutes before we were about to leave. Staff were preparing food without any gloves, and I saw one chap wipe his nose with the back of his had and continue preparing food. I was left feeling sick afterwards and truly hope he didn't have anything to do with my food preparation.If there is a manager it wasn't obvious. The staff need better training and the manager needs to make their presence felt a bit more because from a customer service experience people don;t often mention the positives like good food, they just remember the shoddy service.It's a shame because it was nice to have another place to go to in Rugby, but not sure I will be visiting here for a while.

Me and my donny Sam and a few others popped out for dessert on a chilly Saturday night. Sam - Destroyed the strawberry shortcake waffle followed by a latè. Even thought the coffee took its time. Went up to the counter and had a few words with the boss man and he sorted it no problems! Ben - absolutely destroyed the bueno dough with a naughty extra scoop of gelato washed down with a blue bubble slush with blueberry juice balls, WOW! Best thing I’ve had on a Saturday night for a while

Just shining and nothing else! Poor food quality.. Poor service.. Very Expensive!! Once it's enough.

Waiting for a work meeting come a cross this place when having a walk. 1st impressions ok, front door was sticky. Met quickly and seated. Bit strange you have go to counter to order. Girl was great taking order. Putting drink in takeaway for me. Mocha was bit sweet for for me and I had to ask to get the cream I ordered. Guy who brought to my table seem lost. However the girl sorted it quickly where she came with my waffles. Which where very good with lots of topping. Little expensive. Given the lack of male staff interest. Little bit more to do. May be because it a new attraction. Will be going back with children.

I visited with a family of 6 adults and one child. Whilst the place was busy, the time between everyone else’s dessert arriving and my dessert was 10/15 minutes - by which time some people had already finished... awkward eating. They need to do more to bring the orders out together as much as they can. The dessert itself was nice.

Love kaspas and I'm so happy it's came to Rugby. Everytime I've visited so far the food has been amazing, only thing that let's this place down is staff. Only 1 or 2 of them look like they actually want to be there, they also seem to forget that customers can hear over the counter.

Came here Sunday am, not busy, shown to a table then given menus and that my friends is it, had to order my item after waiting 10 minutes, was not told had to order at the counter myself ! 15 mins later still waiting for 1 ice cream sundae so spoke to a staff member to enquire how long it takes to make an ice cream sundae as people who came in after us were being served, 2 mins later it arrived, ordered a bubbilicious well for 6.50 I expected something amazing and this was not that !! would I come again . Hell no id go to Iceland and buy two tubs of ice cream, sprinkles, sauce, and 2 sundae glasses and still have change for a fiver!

I went with my friends and I would like to say I would of rather gone all the way to cov to get them and paied the extra money we spent about £40 on them and only one turned out to be alright to eat the white choclate was drowned in the waffle and it was soggy and had a wet dog feel in your mouth I would never go back there for waffles they are nasty and I don’t think yoy should get them

Some years ago I was trying to close out a project in La Louvier in Belgium.My meetings had finished early, Report complete I had time to kill so I took the train from Charleroi to Brussels central. It was a Glory to God morning in October but by the time I had got to the Central station it was raining. Coming up from the depth like some troglodyte I pushed through the art deco doors and into the film noir down pour which made the steps down an hydro-electric over flow. I had for some time planned a visit to the Kunst in Brussels. Even with site coat and boots I was getting quite soggy and cold. The museum when I eventually climbed up the steps to it was off course closed on Tuesdays but the rain had been turned of by the film makers special effects team and turning the corner the smell off a waffle stand hit me and I found sufficient euros to buy a fresh waffle half dipped in Belgium chocolate.It was delicious and messy and moreish and remains an item on my "you do it for me bucket list".Well this Tuesday morning nearly twenty years latter was another "glory to god sky and weather" On a three line wip to attend a certain 6 year olds birthday party we arrived after school at this newly opened emporium purveying ice-cream (gello) waffles and pancakes. We claimed a table and as the place was filling up. the queue to place orders grew as the order in front of us was taking a long time to transact.It took us a long time to record our order as well a party of six 2 waffle variants and 3 ice cream conglomerations one being repeated to make a total of six.. They had run out of chocolate ice cream.We took to our seats and drinks came.After some time the plates arrived with lighted sparklers and we all staff and family sang Happy birthday.I had ordered a chocolaty waffle and the other was "bannofy" with sliced bananas.The ice creams were larruped in light and dark brown sauces which the birthday girl consumed with gusto and the 4 year old less so the two adult ice-creams one involving peanut butter were eaten. The two waffle based concoctions were much predated upon by the other adults and the children for the banana slices. The coffee was good. The whole outing cam to just under £45.The décor I found gloomy and in some way unclean but it was brand new and spotless. The noise from the schoolchildren on other tables was oppressive and reminded me of an occasion travelling on a train I wandered into a carriage full of school trippers. Unfortunately we could not upgrade to first class and escape the cacophony.I found the waffle tasty if a little soggy the sauce and chocolate was over sweet for my palate and short of chocolate solids.The children and young of palate seamed to be delighted with the fare.there are in my opinion better purveyors of "Italian" ice cream in town if a little less glitzy. As I was not cold wet and hungry I guess I was bound to find the waffle disappointing.The staff were helpful if a little overwhelmed by the technology and in the learning curve for swift service. I thought it rather expensive and nearly £12 head.I shall return and try a savoury option .

We went in and saw a small sign saying to wait to be seated - but were not greeted by a person for a good few minutes. We ask to be seated in a booth - as in our section there was 3 free. We were refused, ‘in case a bigger group comes’ baring in mind there were numerous other booths with 2 people. Not long after, another couple were seated in the very booth we were refused! We found this extremely rude! We stood up to order and took our coats with us to the queue as we did not want to leave them un attended, our table was then given away whilst we were in the queue with no one speaking to us! We order just one waffle and nothing else to take out and left. We planned on getting a few things such as waffles and milkshakes to share but were reluctant to give this place money!We will not be returning any time soon.

I can’t fault the food here, the desserts are amazing, but the staff are awful.- They take ages to greet you when you arrive.- They don’t keep track of who is next to be seated.- They are rude (literally everyone!) and don’t seem to want to be there.- Service is slow (30 min wait for an ice cream and a milkshake) and not all portions come out together.- They didn’t explain during first visit that there is no table service.- They get orders wrong.This is based on 3 visits so isn’t a one off. Such a shame as I love the menu choices but the staff put me off ever going again!!

Was really looking forward to it after a mention from my partner that you have gluten free and dairy free options.Wrong. You have ONE option. Out of all the items you have on your menu just ONE caters to intolerances.When it arrived, it did not have the raspberries, kiwi and banana that was mentioned on the menu to be a topper.Instead it had fresh strawberries and canned pineapple rings. How the hell am I supposed to eat a whole pineapple ring with a spoon.I would suggest a wide rimmed bowl, rather than a deep bowl, and not to put the raspberry sorbet at the top as it takes over the flavour of the other sorbet.The raspberry sauce was totally overpowering also.Having been a chef for over 15 years, I would have been able to make something 150% better than what we paid £20 for.Disgraceful.

Expensive for quality of food recieved, waiter spoke very little english and was quite short with us, they turned the hot chocolate machine off an hour before they closed and informed us of this after we had ordered 2 hot chocolates. Waited 40 minutes for 4 waffles. Not a great experience, will not be returning.

Although busy we waited 35 mins for food. Very young waiter with extremely poor English. Expensive for what you got.

Incredibly long wait for food, 2 waffles. Not impressed with the mardy waitress either. Not sure it was worth the 30 minute wait.

Not very impressed by very grumpy waitresses and having to reorder my coffee as they forgot about it.It was not busy at all hardly anybody there on a week day so shouldn't have to wait for ages for two coffees and a slice of cake.Thr cake was nice but I didn't like the vibe in there.Won't be going again.
