Kaspa's in Canterbury

Ordered a different cake and Received something else.

Recently visited and usually have a great time but all staff members just looked like they couldn’t be bothered which just ruined the atmosphere. Almost felt as if what they were asked to do was a chore. I am actually very disappointed because like I said, I usually have a great time.

Said on website it closed at 9 and we got at 8:30 and they was closed with 3 people in there joke man

Nothing wrong with the food or drinks, I would go back, it is what it is, just feels like it could be, spruced up a bit!

Clean job, especially the waffles 👍 They have an offer for a free scoop of ice cream if you download their app. Wonderful treatment from the staff.

I went there many times. I love their Sundaes. The staff are always nice and take the time to explain the choices on the menu. It's my go-to for desserts.

Drinks took a while to deliver but it was worth it as they was amazing

Says they close at 9:00pm… came by at 8:20pm, open sign on the door… but was grumpily waved away by staff as they cleared up 40 minutes early… shocking and disappointing.

Staff couldn’t care less, had to wait along time for them to give us. Few scoops of ice cream. The apple pie was bang average, asked for it to be served hot… they gave it to me cold. 👎🏻

Staff look like they are working their behinds off and tired, portions are really good value. Every time I have visited the tables have always been grubby. MANAGER please invest more in your staff they need reward and recognition!

How can you forget the waffle absolute joke

Kaspa's Canterbury I have just sent them this...Worst service we've had here. Ordered on the app but had to literally go and ask for dessert after waiting 30 minutes. Was told the order had not come through complete but when it was printed off at the till it was complete. When the desserts arrived my strawberry ice-cream had obviously been refrozen as it was so icy I left it. Then we waited for the order to be completed as my daughter had also ordered a drink and we had finished eating what we could of our desserts by the time this arrived. No apology was given and we we're just told they were understaffed which wasn't apparent as they had 4 staff behind the counter and at the time we were there it wasn't busy at all. Also the music that was playing quite loudly used the "F" word quite frequently which for a child friendly food outlet was totally unacceptable!!! We were going to complain on exiting but the counter had just got busy so we couldn't be bothered. I have taken photos of how icy my dessert was and after spending over £30 here I expected something better!!!

I came recently with my friends and we were all excited to have some good desserts. Unfortunately, all the drinks came separately and after long time and the cakes were worse than I thought. Services was 0….. ohhhh I forgot to mention that they served me both cappuccino and a tea without a spoon…

Decided to visit here to finish off a lovely afternoon at the theatre, so it was a treat for the family. Wish we hadn’t gone, no one actually acknowledges you when you walk in, a couple of window seats , which were taken downstairs so we realised you must go up , which wasn’t a problem. We then noticed a couple of people going back down to order, it would be nice for someone to explain this. Order put in and each dish was brought separately by a young girl after a considerable wait, we were missing one order and kept asking for it, eventually decided to go and ask myself, they had forgot again, still no sign of the order, we had all finished and again asked for the missing item, guess what, forgotten again, was quickly made and brought to us, they seem too busy talking and not taking any notice of customers. This team is going to loose a lot of business if this is how it always is. Tables were dirty, toilets were dirty and no serviettes , glad we had some wipes with us, we did ask for a cloth to do the table, but guess what, they forgot. These dishes are not cheap think it must be the experience people go for, unfortunately a disappointing end to a otherwise lovely day, maybe staff training should be given. Would never recommend.

Food was good and staff were nice but it wasn't particularly clean, even the menus were very sticky to touch. Booths chairs and tables were torn and damaged and the decor was falling off and taped up in places

I'm still waiting for my delivery, if says that it's been delivered when it hasn't and I never received a phone call to say it had arrived

Hands down the worst customer experience I’ve ever witnessed. Clearly being run by children who couldn’t care less about the place. We came in for some dessert and the staff actually moved away and avoided eye contact which was a very strange “greeting” I then asked if we were okay to go and sit upstairs to which they replied “yes”. We picked out a sundae and a guy told us there was no ice cream, no explanation offered, were they out of every single flavour on offer, surely not!? Was the whippy machine not working? At this point we decided we were going to give it a miss as we felt very unwelcome. When we left there was no apology, no communication not even a good bye just blank stares from 4 “workers”. I never leave reviews but this was so poor it needed to be documented.

They have recently been putting very little chocolate on waffle... it's just dry.

Won't be ordering again as this is the 3rd time I have ordered pouring cream and it's not arrived and the cheese cake is still partially frozen

I ordered brownie mess for take away but in menu it comes with brownie peices, strawberries and ice cream scoop. Even though there is no one in the shop they missed my ice cream in box.

Ordered through a delivery service. Part of the order missing. Can't contact restaurant. Number not available.dont think the phone has ever worked. Ended up going down to kaspas. Was told it does happen. Not eveytime you order. Won't be going or using again.

The brioche is not worth the price, it came squash and soggy. Dye from paper soaked into the cake making it inedible. £6 in the bin

Went in with my son for a birthday treat. We where the only people in there initially lady downstairs was welcoming and said hello but after that service was rubbish. Once upstairs the guy who took our order was really offish and there was no hello or greeting at all. I gave him my order and he huffed and puffed like I was being a pain. I didn't order anything unusual just 2 desserts and a milkshake and coke. Honestly most offish customer services. Our order arrived missing the coke so I went down and asked for that again no communication. Food was edible but not worth money especially with such poor customer service. I wouldn't ever go again.

Great place, except the staff who think it's acceptable to shout at each other and muck around in front of customers!

The workers are very bad they bought us the icecream it was melted all over the plate,the tables were extremely dirty and there was no clean table for us to sit on the hygiene level was 0 but otherwise the icecream were very delicious. Thank you

Food great but opened late 30 min wait until they decided they were open

Came here on Tuesday with my little sister. The young lad working upstairs with the grey ish cap was so helpful, kind and lovely. Will be returning thanks to his amazing customer service. Great food.

Although the food and service was OK the place is absolutely filthy, I couldn't use the toilet because they were disgusting and while I was sat at the table my shoe actually stuck to the floor 🤷‍♀️ glad I can't see the food prep area

Ordered from here a few times through delivery companys and something's always missing or wrong, twice now waffles have just been left out of the order. When you try to phone to find out why stuff is missing the number is incorrect and there is no way to contact the store.

Wrong items, someone did mistake and I didn't get what I paid for

Ordered both deserts with ice cream and didn’t turn up, both deserts were frozen, couldn’t eat so had to Chuck would definitely like to get refund from this order.

Ótimos sorvetes e cafés, com um excelente atendimento, no centro histórico de Canterbury. Nos 15 dias em que estive nesta agradável cidade, acredito ter ido tomar sorvete, e especialmente café duplo, no Kaspa's, todos os dias; ao ponto dos super simpáticos atendentes já até saberem que eu queria um café duplo :( Canterbury é uma simpatia, e este local é dos mais agradáveis e saudosos. Great ice cream and coffee, with excellent service, in the heart of historic Canterbury. In the 15 days I spent in this pleasant city, I believe I went for ice cream, and especially double coffee, at Kaspa's every day; to the point that the super friendly attendants even knew I wanted a double coffee :( Canterbury is a nice place, and this place is one of the most pleasant and nostalgic.

Don’t order the cookie dough…it is very small and misleading from the menu. Very dissatisfied with the presentation. The waffle is the triple of the size, better in flavour and same price.

Poor service which was very slow. They also forgot part of our order and desserts were very basic and not that great. With dessert arriving at different times. They also ran out of tea bags and had to go get some from a different shop in town which took about 20 minutes not only this but they then forgot to bring both teas and only gave us one.

If you haven’t been to a Kaspa’s and you have a sweet tooth, you are missing out. I took my youngest daughter in June 2023 and we shared a Reese’s Waffle with M&M peanut premium base and it was an absolute taste sensation! The staff were very polite, smiley and helpful too which is always nice to see 😊

Completely gone down hill. Tasted super weird and had to use a knife to cut through crepes because of how rubbery they were.

Food that arrived was very nice but missed one of the drinks I'd ordered though I was still charged. Calling Kaspa came to no avail because the number listed on their website is invalid.

Place is filthy, understaffed (not staffs falt) grubby electric wires hanging out on walls in close reach of children, stuck on sauce plasterd on the windows, let's be honest owners don't care! Go to creams

We enjoyed some lovely desserts at Kaspa's today. The ingredients were fresh and yummy. The only things that let it down were the waiting time for my daughters chocolate fudge sudae to turn up, a good 10 mins after mine. And the lack of drinks they had available.

4.25 for two minuscule scoops of subpar ice cream. I mean I know we are not in Italy but this is highways robbery.

Just went in the young lady said to go upstairs and she will come and take our order, waited and waited she didn't return, tried to get her attention but she was too busy chatting to fellow workers behind the counter, we were the only customers in there at the time. so we waited a bit longer, she still failed to return so had no choice but to leave, on our way the ladie mumbled something rude at us. Also the place was very dirty no one cleared the tables from previous customers and it was generally filthy everywhere.

Waited over 40 mins for a basic pancake. Only two staff working and the restaurant was less than half full. All tables full of dirty plates couldn’t find anywhere to sit. Not the staff on duties fault they were rushed off their feet with only two of them working it’s a joke. Won’t be returning.

Great milkshake and lovely waffle a bit pricey though!

We arrived 20 minutes to closing but staff were more than happy to accommodate us. Lovely desserts, I had the chocolate dipped strawberries - very nice! Had the banoffee dough, super tasty!

Food was fantastic and service was brilliant.. and 2 scoops of strawberry gelato was more like 6 ☺️

While the advertised closing time was 9pm we walked in at 7.48pm and the staff refused to serve us and the two ladies in front of us. They said they were closing at 8pm and clearly had just cleaned up and were itching to get out. Can't believe the lack of customer service these days. And clearly they must be doing so well that they can turn away customers.

Not only do all three people bother not to look up when you want to order, but then you're told that as an eat-in customer consuming a mediocre waffle (nothing like the picture) you cannot even use their outlet to charge your phone in an emergency. When I asked manager Kara for the reason, I was given the following three answers in this order: 1) It isn't allowed. 2) Outlets are only for devices other than cell phones. 3) The last time a cell phone charged, the power circuit for the whole store got fried. Now I wonder two things: Does a birthday girl deserve to first be ignored and then lied to ? And / Or is a place in danger of being blown up by charging cell phones actually safe for customers, including children?!

We took at seat at front of the restaurant. Other people were eating downstairs as well. We tried to order and the server 'Anna' rudely told us to go up stairs. There was nothing communicating their system. Her attitude was so abrupt we just felt unwelcome. It's sad when you have a child with us. We realise she just couldn't be bothered to deal with us.

Staff doesn't pay attention to the costumers.

Very good ice cream, too bad the staff made a mistake in the order and refused to fix it leaving us with the wrong ice cream. When we complained the staff were also extremely unpleasant. Also the music was very loud and gave us a headache.

Had a great time spoiling my son for his 10th birthday.

Went in with a push chair staff weren't very helpful no one downstairs dealing with customers. Gave up eating in so decided to take a way a ice-cream whilst ordering at the till the girl started shouting at 4 lads walking upstairs to seating area telling them to wait downstairs .but was rude to just start shouting. Could of said excuse me a minute. But didn't she just stopped dead taking our order and shifted. Whist ordering ice ream cone paying out for xone with ice cream. No cones whi h is part of the product. So paid for a code we didn't get

Disappointed. Waited 10 minutes for a table upstairs and another 50 minutes to get our ice cream. The waitress who was serving us was unpleasant and gave a dirty look. The ice cream was fairly good. You can find way better ice creams in Canterbury. Will not be going there again.

Ok so we all have an off day, but the young people there were far from being organised, my daughter’s strawberry and banana crepe came along after what was quite a long wait (there were more servers than customers) I am not exaggerating when I say she had finished before ours had even arrived, although half of the banana was black and very gooey! When my wife’s and my order arrived we mentioned our concerns regarding the banana and the long wait, I even said to the server that if you went into a restaurant you would expect all of the food to arrive together and he agreed. So they offered us a partial refund - and it was partial £2.00 quid!! Suffice to say we won’t be patronising this establishment again, shame because it could be a profitable enterprise with the right management. Brian Rivers

Friendly staff, food and drink came quick! Smoothie tasted fresh! My only negative comment was that there was no soap in the toilets. Would visit when in Canterbury again!

Went to visit this place early evening. The staff were really good,friendly and polite. There is a fantastic range of desserts. I had a waffle with ice cream and the Mrs had pancakes with fruit and ice cream. Both were really good. The portions are large. I think they also have vegan options. Sorry but forgot to take photos. But I would thoroughly recommend this place.

Deliver driver took a long time couldn’t find my address which resulted in the sundae being pretty much melted by the time it got here. Should have had crispy chocolate sauce on it which was missing.

The food came undamaged but not complete, the waffle I ordered wasn't even what it was described as. It was supposed to be a chocoholic waffle with a crushed oreo base but instead I get something completely different, a plain waffle with black lines. If that is oreo crushed then its not what I expected. Food tasted great, service perfect.

Overpriced and subpar quality. The waitress was unnecessarily rude and gave my order to another table. Wouldn't recommend.

Arrived 1hr and 20 mins before close yet as we walked in the staff member serving shouted across the room that it was take away only despite being open for another hour. Very disappointed. I suggest anyone that goes here within 2 hours of their close just save your time and go to creams around the corner. Much better service there and better opening hours.

Strategico punto di ristoro sul corso principale di Canterbury. Se amate dolciumi pieni di creme, zuccherini, frutta e quant'altro è il posto esatto. In caso contrario è possibile creare pancake, crepes, waffle a proprio piacimento e si può decidere tra tantissimi topping e tipi di frutta. Ottimo anche il loro Bubble tea
